Re: Fans Are Calling Out Nintendo And Camelot For "Lazy" Mario Tennis Aces

hYdeks

I was going to buy this game, but I held off because I didn't care for how the online was set up when I played the demo, but I'm kind of glad I didn't buy the game now.

While we are talking about disappointment with Nintendo, how come Kirby got away with people being barely disappointed with that game?!? A $80 CAD game that I easily beat 100% in like 7 hours, and the mini games are fun for about 20min. tops. That kind of thing for full price is just not acceptable in 2018.

So far this year, I've been more impressed with the third party offerings on Switch then I am for the first party games.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 2018 Went Big On Smash Bros. But Left Us Wanting More

hYdeks

Honestly the direct wasn't that good, but if you look at the games we are getting from this month til' the end of the year, we are getting a lot of great games!

Nintendo could have easily did the Sony thing and showed a teaser trailer for Metroid Prime 4 and Yoshi and that, but what is the point? We know they are coming, and they don't have a release date anytime soon.

That was my thing I hated about Sony and Microsofts conferences. Sony showed trailers for games, but didn't give a release date or anything for The Last of Us Part 2, Ghosts, and Death Stranding, just teased the games some more. Microsoft showed off a lot of games, but most of the games are coming out next year (February 2019 it seems to be).

So even though they focused way too much of Super Smash Bros and the direct was kind of bad, we are getting good games, and most likely will see more from Yoshi and other third party games in later Nintendo Directs.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon GO’s ‘Casual’ Influence On The Mainline Series Is A Good Thing, At Least For Now

hYdeks

I'm definitely not understanding the hatred on this game at all. It's a remake of Pokemon Yellow (basically) so it is a hardcore Pokemon game, with tiny changes to it (like multiplayer) and it has Pokemon Go attached to it for those into Pokemon Go, but you don't actually have to use it at all.

Plus, we are getting a neat Pokeball controller accessory (no body notice that the "button" was being used as a tiny joystick?) that and you can put a pokemon in it and it interacts outside the game.

Seriously, I think this is kind of neat, and is definitely a great game to bring in Pokemon Go people into the real Pokemon games, and also bring in gamers who haven't played newer Pokemon games to get them back into the series (someone like me). I'm definitely excited for this game!

Also, they said a new Pokemon game will be out next year, so what more do you want? We could get nothing at all this year at all for Pokemon fans

Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch

hYdeks

I would love to see Fallout! Even if it's just Fallout 3 or New Vegas, it would be great to have one on the system. Honestly, I don't think Bethesda needs to worry about any of their games not selling on the system, all their games are pretty great!

Re: No, Sega Is Not Returning To The Home Console Arena

hYdeks

I'm a huge Sega fan, and I would love for them to come back to the console market, but it's changed a lot since 2001 when they left and they are just not the same company they once where back then.

As for doing the retro thing, I would love for Sega to make their own and release them. The Atgames ones are ok, but they seem cheap, and come with way too much shovelware games. It would be a real treat for the fans if Sega did this for them.

I've always hoped for Nintendo to buy out Sega, I think that would make a awesome partnership!

Re: Video: Discussing the Possibility of Spyro Reignited Trilogy Coming to Switch

hYdeks

Yea, it probably is coming to the Switch, Nintendo probably wanted to wait and announce it themselves because there will probably be an amiibo figure tied into the title.

Seriously, you can't announce a title like this and make it available on a platform like Xbox and not on Nintendo, that would be stupid and kind of insulting.

I'll buy it when it comes to Switch, otherwise no thanks. I don't want it on my ps4, I barely touch the system anymore.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Retail Games Hitting Nintendo Switch This Spring

hYdeks

Easily the most anticipated one for me is Dark Souls Remastered! Can't wait to play that in portable mode.

There is some great games coming, but if you own more then just a Nintendo console and actually owned a Wii U this list looks kind of disappointing. I think Nintendo released so much the first year, they kind of forgot about the 2nd year.

We know great stuff like Smash Bros is coming, but lets hope other great games are announced at E3.

Re: Third-Party Nintendo Switch Docks Could Be Bricking Consoles

hYdeks

@Destron yup, you are right, but I always go official anyways just because I trust Nintendo and they companies they license too. I've had problems with Nyko, Biogenik and other third party companies before that I have stopped supporting them unfortunately. About the only thing I go third party for it stuff like screen protectors and such.

Re: Awesome: Meet The Ultimate Nintendo Switch Game Collector

hYdeks

Got my Switch at the beginning of December and didn't get any games for Christmas, but I'm at 9 boxed games, and 5 digital so far

Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Resident Evil Revelations, RE Revelations 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Double Dragon IV, Shantae Half Genie Hero, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces, Skyrim, Axiom Verge, Mario & Rabbids, Mario Kart 8.

So far, I absolutely love the system, and I'm looking forward to the new Kirby game next!

Re: Sega Is Getting Ready To Show Us What's Next For Sonic The Hedgehog

hYdeks

I love Sonic, and the games are fun, but aim for either a classic Sonic/ Sonic Mania type game, or a game more in the line of Sonic Adventure games.

Sonic Forces wasn't horrible, but the levels where too short, the story at the end felt rushed and unpolished, and the gameplay for modern Sonic felt more on rails.

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About the Super NES Classic Edition?

hYdeks

I think it's neat, and had a good collection of classic games, but I played the crap out of these games when I was younger, and I got too many new games to play to care about this. So in short, really cool, just not for me.

With how little stock Nintendo puts out with Nes Classic and Switch, so you really think this system will be any different?

Re: Streets Of Rage And Etrian Odyssey Composer Isn't Sure Why The Switch Exists

hYdeks

My problem with the Switch is actually the 3DS. I get that the 3DS is a huge seller for Nintendo, but the system is very old, and is for some reason still getting the top games that the newer, more powerful Switch should be getting to entice ppl to buy the system. Like the Metroid Remake, love that it's coming out, but it's on that one system, and I don't want to buy that old console for that game, would have been a lot smarter to being that game to the Switch. Nintendo needs to end production of the 3DS and go all in with the Switch.

Re: EA is Focused on Nintendo Switch Portability and "Exploring Other Products"

hYdeks

That's basically what I think of the Nintendo Switch: a very powerful portable that can also be played on a tv.

So far I'm not shocked the support is still not that great for the system from third party, but I do hope that changes and the Switch gets a lot of very unique, exclusive third party games.

I think third party developers are still nervous to put their games on a Nintendo system, but if players buy the games, that will probably change.

Re: Random: Solving the Joy-Con D-Pad Problem With a 3D Printer, Sort Of...

hYdeks

yea, my small time with the Nintendo Switch I found that the d-pad on the left joy con was definitely weird. With Sony controllers, it looks the same as that almost, but it is still a plus type d-pad, but the left joy con is 4 separate button, and I really don't care for it at all. I understand why they did it, so when someone is using just the left joy-con, the d-pad is now functioning as buttons, but it is still annoying. The best argument is that you could just buy a pro controller which has the normal d-pad, but that doesn't help when your playing fighters on the go

Re: Capcom Continues to Explore and Plan Nintendo Switch Support

hYdeks

People are over reacting to this comment. It sounds like they want to see how well this does, and see what type of games Nintendo fans are interested in seeing more of from them. Are they more interested in seeing some of Capcoms newer game IP's, or are they more interested in Capcoms retro offerings? We all know Monster Hunter will definitely be on Switch eventually, but it sounds like they want to know what other IP's they have will interest Nintendo fans.

Re: "No Plans" For Destiny 2 On Switch, Says Project Lead Who Loves Nintendo's Console

hYdeks

You would have to severely downgrade the game for it to work on Switch, so why would they want to do that?!?

You want the AAA third party games, you will still need to buy a X1/ PS4/ PC to play the games, because lets face it, Nintendo consoles are very under powered and most people only get them for Nintendo games. If you where thinking things would change and that Nintendo would finally get the big AAA third party games, you where definitely mislead.

It doesn't make the Switch a bad console at all, I still definitely plan to get one, but I think the Switch will get other AAA games exclusively on the system that just wouldn't work on the other major consoles.
