Re: Nintendo Will Replace Your Dead Switch Battery, At A Cost

hYdeks

@Baker1000 with the 3ds, you can buy a replacement battery and put it in the system yourself. With the Switch, if the battery dies, you need to phone support line, send it to Nintendo, they replace it themselves, and send the system back. Truly a big pain in the butt.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards

hYdeks

@Spoony_Tech they already comfirmed that even if you get physical copies, you will need to install a certain amount onto the systems memory. I think even with Breath of the Wild getting it physical you will need around 4gb to install from what I've heard. So you will be needing a memory card probably pretty quick.

Re: Capcom Has No Plans To Infect The Nintendo Switch With Resident Evil "At The Moment"

hYdeks

I still say after the launch hype, this system will definitely drop big time with sales. It's just not getting the really big third party games, and the only one it has, Skyrim, is a game you can get on consoles from 2005/6! And the third party games the Switch is getting are just downloadable unheard of games, and games like Steep and that no one gives a crap about. I thought I would never say this in my life, but even though Nintendo makes good money, their hardware sucks, their third party relations suck, they way they do business is WAY out dated, and Miyamoto hasn't had a good idea in freakin' years.

Re: Gearbox CEO Doesn't See Borderlands 3 Coming To Nintendo Switch

hYdeks

@Slim1999 bad language is one thing, Borderlands had bad language, stock sense of humour etc. Yes house of the dead overkill is very bad like that too, but that was back in the Wii days. Really seems like Nintendo has a lot stronger focus on the Switch, and wants to capture the dominantly Japanese games that they lost to Playstation, cause those are the games Nintendo fans seem to be more interested in. Honestly, you could see the odd western game, maybe even Borderlands 3 eventually, but don't expect them as much.

Re: Investors React Negatively to Nintendo Switch Launch Details

hYdeks

I can see went the investors are acting negative to the news, because as a long time Nintendo fan that has been interested in every Nintendo system to date, I really thought what the showed for games, and the pricing for this system is really unimpressive. I do expect great sales near launch, those are the ppl most interested in the system, but gradually I think the sales will drop big time and will sell very poorly unless Nintendo can secure a great third party game exclusive.

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Presentation Was Good, but Not Perfect

hYdeks

Very lackluster, happy I sold my Wii U and went Xbox One instead.

Super Mario Odyssey looks absolutely weird, Mario looks out of place in that modern city setting, and the other levels didn't look much better! And the other games announced where not exactly hype worthy.

The price of the systems basic bundle is going to be $300, which is way too much considering you can get a ps4 and xbox one s that have higher graphics, tons of great games on them already, and a good amount of hdd space for just a tiny bit more cash!

Nope, not impressed Nintendo. This presentation showed me Nintendo hasn't learned anything from its mistakes, and that third party developers are still very much wary of making games for your system.

Good luck to you Nintendo, but I'm personally done with you.

Re: Sources Outline GameStop Trade-In Deals and Pre-Order Details for the Nintendo Switch

hYdeks

Already sold my Wii U for a Xbox One S, and I couldn't be happier.

I'm hoping the Nintendo Switch presentation is what all Nintendo fans are hoping for and then some, and that the Switch does better than the Wii U. Personally with me though, I can't go back to Nintendo, not again...the under powered systems that are too expensive and barely have any third party support, and almost no games for the mature audience has really killed it for me

Re: Soapbox: The Nintendo Switch's Final Specs Don't Matter

hYdeks

Specs don't matter?!? Yea, actually they do of you want the games. Sick of Nintendo fans saying they don't matter, yea they freakin do! The system can be easy to port to, that is good start, but if the game looks completely like poo and makes there product look horrible, why would they consider putting the game on the system? Seriously, I think the only reason this system might do good is because it's a powerful for a portable system, but with the way ppl game now a days, portables aren't very popular anymore, it's all about mobile gaming now.

Re: Poll: One Week to Go - How Are Your Nintendo Switch Presentation Hype Levels?

hYdeks

I went from really hyped for this system, to not hyped at all. I do hope Nintendo the best, and I do hope the ppl that still support them get a system that what they are going for, but I just can't do another underpowered Nintendo console that might get third party, but barely get any games. I will be reading articles to find out what they reveal, but I've already moved on to one of the other consoles, and I couldn't be happier.

Re: Feature: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is Nintendo's Boldest Step Into Contemporary Game Design

hYdeks

@JaxonH yea, I would like to see some of the older style Zelda games continue too, but I think this open world approach is something that Zelda has been needing for awhile. The games where feeling too linear, and Zelda BoTW gives a more "go where you want, play however you want" feel, which will add a lot to the replayabiliy of the game. Again, really hope it makes Nintendo take more chances with their series, because the last time they took a new approach to a series was Metroid Prime, and that worked out great.

Re: Feature: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is Nintendo's Boldest Step Into Contemporary Game Design

hYdeks

Umm, open world rpgs like this have been around for a long time now, it's about time Nintendo left the Zelda design from 1998 behind and caught up to other rpgs like it that have been doing it since like Elder Scrolls Morrowind back in 2002 on consoles like Xbox

I really hope this Zelda game sells well, because I would get back into Nintendo if they made there games a little more bigger, and modern feeling.

Re: Nintendo's Share Value Plummets Despite Super Mario Run Downloads and Revenue Performance

hYdeks

The game is good, but it's not really any better than other games like it on mobile, and most those games are free, basically they're asking too much for this game, is what the big complaint seems to be.

Also, the drop in shares could be because Nintendo doesn't have anything big to offer other than Dragon Quest until March, and even then ppl are concerned the Switch is just another underpowered, gimmicky system.

Honestly, the share drop can be a number is reasons, but hopefully things start looking better for Nintendo.

Re: The Nintendo Switch Power Debate is Back - Report Suggests It Won't Quite Match PS4

hYdeks

Well du'h, it's obvious the system isn't going to be as powerful as a xbox one or ps4, if it was, the Switch would be very expensive considering it's mainly a tablet portable At this point, x1 and ps4 costs around $379 CAD for the low model one, and that's selling at a loss. If Nintendo's Switch was as powerful of a system as those, while being a portable, that would make it easily over $400 CAD, and it will be even more cause Nintendo doesn't sell things at a loss. Obviously making a system as powerful that is a portable would not be good for the Nintendo fans who expect a good, decently priced system.

Re: Editorial: As Games Jump to Nintendo Switch, We See How Quickly the Industry Moves On

hYdeks

"The Wii U is only just over four years old, but is almost last-gen", umm...the system has felt like a last gen console basically a couple months after it was released, when x1 and ps4 where revealed, then eventually released a year after the Wii U. Nintendo finally went into that generation in its last year, while the other two where doing it for like 6 years before Nintendo bothered to make a system to compete

Re: Random: Here's a Theory on the Rather Short NES Mini Controller Cables

hYdeks

The controller cord is short because it is the same length as any other Wii peripheral attachment (classic controller, nunchuck) and you can connect it to the Wii remote to play virtual console games, so basically it's that way for virtual console use and you don't need a ton of cord for that use. Not exactly rocket science why it's like that

That or Nintendo is cheap, both are very plausible...

Re: GameSeek Offers 'Price Guarantee' Nintendo Switch Pre-Order for Just Under £200

hYdeks

@KirbyTheVampire yea, it won't, but I don't know a lot of people interested in a underpowered home game console. Now if you look at it as more of a portable more than anything, I can see this being a big hit, and it is very powerful as a portable. I think the big deciding factor will be if third party delivers the games Nintendo fans want, and if Nintendo fans actually care enough to buy the games, making it worth it for third party to put the games on the Switch.

Re: GameSeek Offers 'Price Guarantee' Nintendo Switch Pre-Order for Just Under £200

hYdeks

@blinder2 it's underpowered compared to Xbox one and ps4 with the things that have said, and with ps4 pro out now, and Scorpio coming next year, it will be very underpowered system.

If companies are willing to still support the Switch though, that obviously won't matter much, cause games are what matter most, but I can see it being like the Wii U's beginning where they had the third party games, then the new systems came and the Wii U was way too underpowered to get the games.

One big thing Switch has going for it at this point is its a very powerful portable.

Re: GameSeek Offers 'Price Guarantee' Nintendo Switch Pre-Order for Just Under £200

hYdeks

I can see that maybe being the price for a barebones package, but not for the bundle one. Nintendo never sells at a loss, so their underpowered systems are always pretty needlessly expensive.

I'll guess the system alone bundle will come with dock, system, and joy con controllers for £200, a bundle with dock, system, joy con controllers and grip, and splatoon for around £250. Ppl need to remember that Nintendo stuff is always more expensive than we expect

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Release Date and Key Games Outlined

hYdeks

So there will be a Mario game, tons of ports, more Mario with Rabbids in it (sounds dumb...), and a very late port of Skyrim, than eventually when hell has finally frozen over the new Zelda game will come. Sorry to say, but without Zelda, the launch sounds very lackluster to me. I went from wanting this day one, to we'll see if I get it later...kind of sad, Nintendo.

Re: Poll: The Wii U is Four Years Old, But What Is Its Legacy?

hYdeks

Bad Things: Third party support, no real point to the gamepad, systems name, no original Zelda game (hyrule warriors is a spin off, and BoTW is coming...sometime), only good games where from Nintendo themselves, online store wasn't organized well, the system was a slightly more powerful last gen console that came out 6 years after the two it compares too, smaller selection of virtual console games than on Wii, online multiplayer.

Good things: Nintendo games, the pro controller, great couch co-op games.

It will be seen as a massive failure with great Nintendo games, so there is a great positive to the system, even with a lot of negative the system receives

Re: Tekken 7 Producer "Surprised" By Nintendo Switch, Won't Confirm Or Deny Possible Port

hYdeks

Basically what I get from every third party that says this kind of thing is, "we think the Nintendo system is very neat, but instead of supporting this awesome idea, we will of course play it safe and release our game on the more traditional, boring, more powerful systems. Yes, we like Nintendo's system, but we are afraid to put anything on the system, and give the system a chance". This seems to be the story of every single third party developer of there

If you want these games, it's best to go xbox one or ps4 where you know the game will show up on them, if your wanting them to show up on Nintendo console, good luck with that -_-

Re: Tomonobu Itagaki on Why Devil's Third Underperformed

hYdeks

The game is OK, but when your playing it and the further you get in the campaign the more you feel as though they didn't know what the heck to do with the game, and it feels like a sloppy game. Also, it really feels like a game that should have been released 8 years ago, when they started making the game.

I do have to admit that the online multiplayer was a fun part of the game, but had barely anyone on it, so something potentially good was indeed held back by a crappy online community on the platform.

I would say it is more Itagaki's fault this game is bad overall, but definitely the online multiplayer, one of the actual good things about the game, was really held back by inferior online from Nintendo. If the game released 8 years ago on 360 and ps3, it would have found at least audience.
