They are firing the entire Sonic Team and letting the the makers of Mania have complete control of the franchise.

Any of these would make me squeal:

-Shenmue HD (oh god, please announce this already!)
-Sega Genesis Collection for Switch
-A direct partnership with Sega to bring Sega Forever, with Nintendo's level of polish, to Switch!
-A Saturn/Dreamcast collection (this will never happen, but I can dream)
-Sega's 90's-era arcade games (Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Daytona, House of the Dead) are getting the ACA treatment (I'm not holding my breath on that one).

Maybe one of those flashback consoles, but a Dreamcast? I can’t see it being the Sonic Racing game, given the hype there trying to build.

Seriously, I hope for Sonic CD on Switch. But it will probably be Sonic Racing on the Ps4, Xbox One/X, Switch, New 3DS XL, PS Vita, Sega Dreamcast, Atari Jaguar, 3DO, and the Gameboy Color. Not to mention, the mobile versions for iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Pocket Pc, and Palm OS.

Rhythm thief 2? A Sakura Taisen collection? Monkey Ball for Switch? New Out Run game? Remake of Space Harrier? Hatsune Miku?

Pretty much anything not Sonic is more interesting than Sonic in my opinion.

I think they're overselling it, whatever it is. The only HUGE thing I can think of is them getting in the home counsel market again and that ain't happening. Sega's retro games showing up on a system would be welcome news for many, but hardly huge. Same for a brand new game.

I'm hoping it is something to do with their arcade gaming legacy coming to Nintendo Switch. SEGA were nigh-untouchable in the 80s/90s creating some of the most iconic coin-up games ever made.

I'm happy to admit I was a SEGA kid growing up so any Switch release of their 8-bit and 16-bit games would be nostalgia nirvana for me.

Alas, I've barely explored the later consoles of the SEGA SATURN and DREAMCAST. So again, I'd be thrilled to see these games come to Switch.

SEGA seem to be on a hype marathon this year. They tend to hype things up then afterwards turns out to be disappointment. Hopefully this one is a decent surprise.

If I had my way, it would be Outrun 3.

And at the conclusion of the presentation, they'd announce that Outrun 2 and 2006 Coast to Coast Edition for the original Xbox are joining the Xbox One backwards compatibility list immediately, along with the reissue of Outrun Online Arcade digitally (With 4k XB1 BC support of course, and a North American PSN release after being a 360 exclusive in North America originally).

Oh, and those that preorder Outrun 3 would get free download codes for Arcade Archives releases of arcade Outrun, Turbo Outrun, and Outrunners (with full wheel support on the PS4/XB1, of course).

That's my dream.

@meppi64 I hear you buddy. It was a different world growing up a gamer with a European lens. SEGA were our gods during the Master System and Mega Drive eras and the arcades even more so. Such a shame to see how far the once mighty SEGA has fallen. I always live in hope they can at least somehow rediscover how to honour their legacy albeit if that is all they can honestly hope to achieve now.

My hopes is that it’s a lineup of classic Sega games coming to the Switch!! Arcade and from past systems!! That would be awesome imo!

The only "HUGE" thing for me would be a new exciting console that has built-in VR that gives a better experience than PSVR, or something super duper like a mobile Android-based console that can play project onto the wall at 720 native. Anything on the software side wouldn't be huge in my book (I already own most of their collections in one form or another).

While ShenMue 1 & 2 not coming to Switch would be disappointing, it is not surprising since ShenMue 3 is PS4 exclusive it makes sense that you can play them and carry your save game from 2 over to 3. If you played them on Switch and you are told that Ryo's Switch journey end at game 2, it would be like playing on Dreamcast all over again.

@Pikachupwnage Persona 5 on Switch will never happen. Sony have exclusivity to some degree, hence the ‘only on PlayStation’ tag.
They don’t put that on just any game that’s exclusive to PS4.

Games that are exclusive to PlayStation, but don’t have that are fair game.

Shenmue 3 is for PS4 and PC. Shenmue 1 & 2 are releasing on PS4, PC and Xbox One. Not having a Switch version but an XBO version makes no sense.

@CaPPa Ahh right, so my original comment stands, I just needed to add Console Exclusive to PS4 ShenMue 3. So there is no point to anyone buying the XBO version of 1 & 2 as the story ends there and you would then have to buy a PS4 to continue the story. Ridiculous.

I'm not too fussed about shenmue but I hope the new Sakura Wars is localized and released for the Switch.

@CaPPa I'm a little worried that Shenmue may have not aged too well & that nostalgia may be glossing over some of the bits that might not be too great to revist. That said, I will give it a bash, most likely with the Japanese voice option.
