Re: Sega Is Looking To Revive Some Of Its Past Classics

hYdeks

About time! They have so many great IP's that they have some nothing with! I love Sonic, but it's time to give some of their other IP's love again. Sadly, since most of them have been dormant for so long, most gamers now worth have no clue about these older IP's, and that will be a huge problem when releasing a new game.

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo Switch Has a Chance for Significant Success, Especially as a Portable

hYdeks

I see the Switch as more of a high powered portable that can connected to the tv, and that is definitely not a bad thing at all. Portables are very, very popular in Japan and sell a lot better their, and the idea of a very powerful handheld that looks like a tablet and can connect to a tv and also has the motion controls would be very appealing to most people.

Personally, I think that Nintendo should soon quit production of 3DS and put all their focus on the Switch. Bring out a lot more systems, get all the games that would go to portables and systems, and I bet the Switch will sell amazingly. I know I plan to pick one up, but the problem is their is barely any games or systems

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Effortlessly Drifts Past The One Million Sold Marker After Just One Week

hYdeks

It's selling well because it, and Zelda, are the only two games really worth buying the system for at this point. There are some fun games on the system, but Zelda and Mario Kart are always going to be bigger sells then games like Bomberman and that

Personally, I don't care about this game, I already played it to death on Wii U, and don't care to pay the price for the small updates. I'll probably get a Switch when Disgaea and that come out.

Re: Reggie Explains the Reasoning Behind the New 2DS XL

hYdeks

Why did they release this? because they like money, du'h

There are people out there who will buy anything of a certain company, even just to collect that certain thing, and Nintendo isn't clueless to the fact that most their fanbase is like this.

Only good reason I can see to pick this up would be for someone that is still only got the original 3DS, or has the cheap 2DS and wants to upgrade, other than that, this is really unnecessary.

I'm glad they are still supporting the 3DS at this point, and eventually fade the system out, and give all the games over to the Switch. The 3DS is very old now, and you need to give all your love to the Switch with games and support.

Re: Deals: Nintendo Switch - Upcoming Goodies For May And June

hYdeks

@NEStalgia actually, I've had no problem finding Nintendo Switch at my nearby Wal-Mart, and the two close Gamestops, the problem is having the money when they are their and grabbing it before other people do lol It's a definite fight to get the system!! All the games and accessories are pretty easy to find near my area too, I even surprisingly found a collectors edition of LoZ Breath of the Wild, and I definitely thought those where all sold out.

Re: GameStop Confirms Nintendo Switch Stock Now In US Stores With Trade-In Credit Deal

hYdeks

My two local EBGames/ Gamestop stores have had stock on the normal grey joy-con Nintendo Switch bundle off and on the last month, and I've had the chance to buy the system easily, but I didn't bother because I'm going to wait for a lot more games to release before diving in. As for the Neon Blue/ Neon Red Nintendo Switch bundle, that thing is extremely hard to find where I live.

As for places like Wal-Mart and Bestbuy, I haven't seen one system at all in the stores, or on the online stores at all, so the best bet for Canadians seems to be EBGames

Re: Poll: Do You Think Call Of Duty: WWII Will Come To Switch, And Would You Want It If It Did?

hYdeks

Maybe, hard to tell really.

The Switch is a popular enough system that it could sell enough to make it worth while to put it on the system, but at the same time do they think the game would appeal to Nintendo fans? Nintendo fans seem to enjoy more Japanese style games, and don't seem to care about American games, especially shooters.

I think they will skip the Switch for this CoD game and wait and see if the Nintendo Switch becomes a big enough sale, so maybe the next CoD game after this might come to the system.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Remain Strong in Japan

hYdeks

Japan loves portables, so the Switch should easily be a huge success over there. When it gets more game releases, and is in stores more frequently, you'll probably see lots of people getting one. Nintendo did it smart when they released their new system as a portable/console hybrid

Re: Poll: What Wii U Ports Would You Like to Play on Nintendo Switch?

hYdeks

I chose Bayonetta/ Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Fatal Frame.

Bayonetta because I felt the game is great and deserves a bigger user base, which the Switch will probably have over Wii U. Xenoblade Chronicles X for the same reason, but also would be good for people that never played a game in the series to play this before the next one comes out. Fatal Frame because it never got a physical release in North America, and it definitely deserved better than that.

Those three are considered hardcore games, which I feel Nintendo systems need more of, and the rest of the list on that poll are mostly games we know will eventually come to the system at some point (Smash Bros, Mario etc.)

Re: Nintendo's Harshest Critic Thinks Switch Will Outsell Microsoft's Scorpio

hYdeks

Well considering we don't really know anything about Scorpio, it's just really stupid to say such things. Besides, the audience that goes for things like Scorpio and PS4 Pro and the audience for something like the Switch are completely different. Depending how both Nintendo and Microsoft do things, I think both consoles can be great success'. I'm personally interested in both consoles, Scorpio for a very powerful home console, and Switch because I want a very powerful portable.

Re: Poll: A Month of Nintendo Switch - Do You Think It's Heading for Success?

hYdeks

It has a lot of huge hype, for almost no good reason at this point. Zelda Breath of the Wild is amazing, but so far that's it.

I do think the system will do well though, and if Nintendo gets third party support, it could be an amazing portable with lots of great games in the future.

As of this point, I don't want a Switch, even though I love Zelda, the price tag of the system isn't worth it for one game. Wow me with other great games (E3 needs to be amazing), and I'll easily bite and get one later on.

Re: Playtonic Removes JonTron's Voice from Yooka-Laylee

hYdeks

I think they are right to remove him from the game. Just because this is the internet, doesn't mean you need to voice your opinion like that, and honestly, I find JonTron's comments to be very disrespectful, and he deserves the backlash he has gotten. I'll still be buying the game, that is definitely going to happen

Re: Here's Why Nintendo Switch Games Cost More Than Those For Other Consoles

hYdeks

huh, it's so weird to hear from people on here how the games are more expensive in their regions.

I live in Canada, and most PS4/ Xbox One games are in the $75-80 range, and so far the Switch game have been very well priced from what I've seen. My local Wal-Mart, Bestbuy, and Gamestop all have the same prices on games, Bomberman for $65, Zelda for $80, 1 2 Switch for $65.

So I guess for once, the game prices are decent here in Canada!

Re: Feature: Our Team Reflects on a Week With Nintendo Switch

hYdeks

I don't own the system, but I have had some good time with the system, and my position on the system is kind of neutral.

Definitely have to say Zelda: Breath of the Wild is easily worth buying the system for, but I was truly disappointed with a lot of the other things about the system. I found the menu was very basic and plain, the joy-con controllers where way too small for me holding them individually, the game selection isn't exactly great at this point (except Bomberman and Zelda, I was having fun with those games), no virtual console at this point, no video streaming services, you have to be careful taking the system out of the dock or it will scratch the screen, how cheap the dock is.

Yea, it sounds like I have a lot of negative to say about the system, but actually my point is that the launch of the Nintendo Switch feels more like a big beta test for early adopters of the system, within' time, the system could actually be really great edition to any ones household.

Re: Random: Would You Trade Your Brand New Nintendo Switch For A Fully-Boxed SNES?

hYdeks

Would I trade a launch day Switch for a fully box Snes? If the Snes is new, then yes I actually would. I figure in no time, it will be easy to find a Nintendo Switch, and with the launch edition not being anything special from one you will be able to buy later, the Snes is definitely a lot more rare. Though it would suck to give up a shiny new toy, as a collector, I would easily pick the Snes.

Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Images Pop Up Online

hYdeks

@NEStalgia it's very underwhelming as a home console compared to the competition, which those consoles have been out for at least 3 years now. But I don't consider it a home console really, as a portable, it's really impressive, but I don't have any use for a portable in my life.

Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Images Pop Up Online

hYdeks

So it's a Tegra X1, which basically means the Switch is a slightly more powerful Wii U. That's pretty impressive for a portable, pretty underwhelming for a home console. Honestly, I prefer to consider this system a powerful handheld, though.

Re: Video: Here's The World's First Nintendo Switch Unboxing

hYdeks

Welcome back huge, annoying plug -_- eck...

The packaging looks pretty good, the switch system and joycons look decent, and not toyish looking like everything else Nintendo. That joycon grip looks kind of cheap, but do-able, but that dock looks very, very cheap. I can't understand why the dock would cost so much by itself.

Re: Video: A Good Look at Why the Nintendo Switch Isn't Comparable to the Wii U GamePad

hYdeks

"there is no comparison" uhh, yea there is, Switch just looks like a slicker, more improved Wii U gamepad that is actually portable. Even though the Switch is portable, just looking at the size of it in the picture and video sure makes me think that it's one huge portable! Personally, I don't have a good reason to need a portable game system when I'm out doing stuff, but I can see this being a big hit with kids on road trips and that.
