Re: Ecco The Dolphin: Complete Announced, Includes Remasters & A Brand New Game

fpcreator2000

The first game was great to play if only for all the acrobatics and water jumping, but after that it was an unnecessary chore after that. I think I got past the first level and then stopped playing the second level after that due to the pressure of oxygen and the ability of knowing where to go was more frustrating than enjoyable. Not even my game genie could help me wanting to play this game more.

Re: 'Sega Universe' Initiative Announced, Celebrating Multiple Classics With Anniversary Projects

So we are getting an English version of Sakura Wars finally?

And Dynamite Deka without the Die Hard license attached to it?

The japan only Segagaga simulator?

A remake of Nights would be good without all the waste of time intro we got in the Wii exclusive sequel.

Outrun? Interesting. We did get Coast to Coast in 2006 and that was a good game.

New games for the following are very welcome:

  • Fantasy Zone
  • Rent-a-Hero
  • Guardian Heroes

The next Streets of Rage should just keep it going in the same style as Street of Rage 4. Anything else will disappoint. With all the fan service, extras and unlockable that game featured, especially the extra characters and character versions as well as the hidden bosses, made 4 a definitive experience, especially with the Mr. X dlc.

Re: Talking Point: What Would You Want From A New Star Fox Game?

fpcreator2000

how about a classic star fox game with new planets and enemies. The Corneria system doesn’t need to the system we revisit every time. or maybe a remake of star fox 2 or even a single player star fox zero.

There can also 2 a second remake of star fox 64 with an expanded multiplayer experience. the 3DS remake was great but the multiplayer levels were a disappointment.

As much as adventures was fun, it would only work for me if the new game had arwing portions.

Re: "The Flavour Tends To Get Lost" - Dragon Quest's Yuji Horii On English Translations

To say that a language is simple is a but insulting. Of course, some meaning will be lost in translation. This is true for most languages, specially slang or culturally specific phrases and sayings. Just look at Swedish and Norwegian. They have words to describe complex emotions and situations.

I know he did not mean anything by it, but such comments can be misconstrued or taken the wring way. It’s insults an entire group of people and their culture.

I do agree with him that a lot details are lost in translation. Hell, I recently found out that Goku and Chichi are supposed to sound like Japanese hicks/country bumpkins, but without context I was clueless. And that was cultural and regional nuance, not even language.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics

fpcreator2000

as a person who played the original back in the 90’s at a friend’s house, I can say that the games are great, especially Wario Land, but it is also true that it was headache/migrane inducing and awkward to play since it was made for smaller statures in mind.

Of course, milage varies but I’m hoping i could play these games with the 3D turned off so I don’t need any of the headsets as my memories of this console was a Saturday afternoon wasted recuperating from the almost migrane. The heavy red is a part of the reason, and the other was the posture.

But, great games

Re: Talking Point: Does It Bother You That Big Games Companies Are Using GenAI?

fpcreator2000

Using Ai to facilitate coding and for code quality checks? Good. Using AI generated content as placeholders? Good. It save time on development while artists do their non-ai art. Placeholder dialog? Good. Beats Lorem Ipsum text. Many times you need placeholder items to see how visual content will result in while assets are being made, and the while the game itself it’s being programmed.

AI can be a useful tool when used correctly. Now, using ai to generate final assets in a game such as images, dialogue, audio and video? Nope.

Re: Random: GameStop Tries To Make Light Of Switch 2 Staple Fiasco, But Lands In More Trouble

fpcreator2000

That toy store was at it again? Why do even support the store when Target, Best Buy and pretty much any other place is a better experience than GameStop.

I realized I don't enjoy the masochism that comes from receiving what is supposed to be a brand new game and instead receive an open game that staff probably borrowed to play so that they can tell customers about the game.

Re: Limited Run Games Says It's Found The Cause Of Switch 2's Carbon Engine Issues

fpcreator2000

@Spider-Kev the line of code is stored on the game but the fault is how the switch 2 software in the system is interpreting that line of code. Once Nintendo releases a system update, we should be good to go. When devs reports errors like this to the OEMs, in this case Nintendo, it is good for everyone involved including consumers…as long as Nintendo acts in it which I think they will since the backwards compatible games, the better for them overall.

Re: Review: Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition (Switch 2) - Just One Caveat Holds Back Capcom's Finest

fpcreator2000

@JohnnyMind go to the Battle Arena and you will get a nice surprise. It's literaly an arcade with people sitting at cabinets you can walk up and sit opposite to challenge like a real arcade. There is also a separate arcade area to play older arcada games and now some nes games as well. And the standard arcade mode which includes the traditional story mode.

Re: 007 First Light Official Game Reveal, Launching On Switch 2 In 2026

fpcreator2000

@Maxz exactly. Bond’s origins and story are always retconned like Captain. America’s story is always pushed forward. Cap is frozen during WWII but the decade where he thaws out is always pushed forward.

As for Bond, they just move the era forward but the films (excluding Craig’s since those where a complete reboot) had always retconned the time period but carried the story elements over from the previous ones.
