I don’t see the switch passing ds worldwide sales due to the anticipation for its successor. As a fan of the Switch, I do hope it becomes the best selling console.

Yggdra Union, Gloria Union and Blaze Union are getting a three-pack switch release actually. Got the Playasia page bookmarked, just search for Yggdra Union 3-in-1 Special Bundle. It actually released on 1/25 according to the page and youtube trailer.

Calling it now! Diablo V is going to be a FPS with soldiera from different militaries getting isekai’d into the Diablo Universe just because they wanted to make a Doom clone stuff us with microtransaction glory because cosmetics skins in where it’s at right now. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Samalik Killer Instinct on the Switch will be the series coming back home. I can imagine the N64 and SNES titles coming to the Online service as well to coincide with the release.

for me, using the game genie gave some of my genesis games a new lease on life. Atomic Robokid was unbeatable. games with time constraints allowed me to explore more of the levels.

So, for me it was more of “get the game, beat the game (or try to), then cheat”

Some games that were insufferable became fun when the difficulty was toned down. Or exploration that was not possible such as taking Tails branches in levels that Sonic had no access to through moon jump. Or going through Sonic branches as Knuckles because he can jump just that bit higher.

honestly, Jet Set Radio got my heart pumping, I’m looking forward to all the games. Streets of Rage 4 was excellent so this should be part 5 or a re-imagining of the franchise.

Shinobi reminds me of Shinobi III but can Shadow Dancer get some love? Maybe a re-imagining of Altered Beast with greater Greek overtures than the original to give more immersion?

Thr screaming Sega at the end? That brought a tear to the young kid in my old heart. Gonna have to pull out the old Genesis and play some of the old games now.

@Ryu_Miiyama, Who are you telling? I’ still waiting for my copy as well as the collector’s edition of Neo Geo Pocket Selection vol 2. Picked up a standard copy because I didn’t want to open the collector’s version. Got the standard but the other version is still out there.

At this point, I always head to play asia to see if the asian multi language is available instead as limited run can make waiting a painful endeavor.
I’ve only been going the limited run route when i have no other choice such as with the Jurassic park collection (after the genesis games were announce otherwise I would have skipped it).

The sad part is that there are games that I ordered previous that have come in sooner than the ngpc vol 2 collection.

Was Arkham Origins that bad? I actually enjoyed the game but it’s completely ignored in all the compilations.

I may pick this up if they have multiple cartridges. I’ve already bought the borderland 1-2 prequel cartridge which has me downloading all but 1 of the games.

i’d be cool if they release a complete edition for Mario Kart 8 as I would definitely double dip on this game. Otherwise, not really wanting to pick up all boosters minus one physical pack

@samuelvictor Well, the problem with Sonic 4 is that the sprites used are not classic Sonic but modern Sonic. It had the potential to be great but the game engine that handled the physics ruined part I. They fixed it in part II but then forcing tails for gameplay purposes kind of took away from the experience as well. As an og fan of Sonic’s original entries, this was definitely the game with the poorest gameplay experience. The only thing I did not care from Sonic Mania were the special zones, although I do prefer them over Sonic CD and the ones from 3D Blast (Genesis/Mega Drive). Not to mention that the retro engine is a thing of beauty. I do hope that more games outside of Sonic are made with the engine as Sega is going their own route with Superstars and their future classic Sonic entries.

@IchibanKasuga With the Steam Deck making pc gaming more accessible to users, I can see why they said along with no longer having the need to have bleeding edge equipment to run games. And, remasters are not as a big thing to look into as PCs are mostly backwards compatible except for the oldest of games. And even those run with an emulation layer.

@antonvaltaz I actually enjoyed that version of the game, but based on the more hardcore fans’ replies, it seems that game left a lot to be desired.

Owning a Switch at this point in time with all the games that are available from the past and present is like living in a second video game golden age. If the Switch 2 (or whatever it will be called) is backwards compatible, then that console will be a beast as far as game collectors will be concerned.

Unless all the DLC including the Game Gear Games are included, there is no point for just extra crap to take up space in the house.

I like this project as it brings new life to a damaged console that may have a damaged screen, joycon rails or controls in the case of the lite version.

As for having Nintendo making the Switch 2 into a dedicated box? The ability to play in docked or handheld is the main charm of the Switch. Personally, I hope that the Switch 2 follows a similar play dynamic but with boosted tech and hall effect joycons with backwards compatibility.

@FishyS at the same time we have variations of mario and peach which are just powered-up versions of the characters so I don’t find it so weird. It is nice having all the princesses in one game now.

Wish the Jurassic Park collection had the Genesis and game gear/master system games as well. Jurassic park and rampage edition were great titles. the controls are a bit awkward but once you get the hang of it, it’ll take a bit to put down.

Not gonna lie, a fighting game rpg were you gain levels through fighting oppontents but you move in an overworld and visit towns was my dream and now I got Street Fighter 6. Living the dream.

Every single time I turn on and play a Borderlands game, Cage the Elephant - Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked starts playing in my head. Good times.

Well, looks like I’ll playing the Real American Hero on the Switch. The kind of game that should have been released on the Genesis/SNES back in the day. Better late than never!

I’m still curious why Konami doesn’t release the Gamecube version of Metal Gear Solid 1. The same for Portable Ops. A Metal Gear Acid collection would be nice as well. Maybe a 2d remake of the of the first two metal gear games along with Ghost Babel.

Looking forward to it. Arcade archives’ Punch Out and Super Punch Out are great but I need a new kind of game, even its fundamentally the same formula but that can be argued for many genres such Street Fighter and King of Fighters. Or the Metroidvania formula. Or how about Rogue/Rogue lite? Or how many other games that play like Enter the Gungeon.

Some comments as to why another punch out style game when not many get made, but then crickets when the next roguelite gets released.

I’m just wondering when can I have some those misunderstandings on the switch.

@blindsquarel We have FIFA but even that doesn’t comes without issues. Back when I had FIFA for the ps4, i had run into an issue during the season mode where my team was never playing or would be skipped over every time. Was so frustrated that I returned the game.

@Ryu_Niiyama I’m having similar issues. Trying to find the swap, tap and at this point I’m desperately trying to stick the cards into the vents to see I can complete the transaction!? No dice…sigh.

Extremely excited. Getting it for Steam and the switch (if it comes out for it). this game is getting double dipped if that is the case.
