If a DK mine-themed ride exists one day in Super Nintendo World, will the guests be requested to stick their arms out at different times so that their bracelets trigger bonuses? Will said bonuses include medical insurance to cover any loss of limbs?
Calling the attractions 'activities' is very 3rd-grade-teachery. I hope they don't hand out worksheets at the entrance. But the whole looks very cool and the 'activities' are very well thought. I'm just a bit concerned about how it would work in a crowded situation as they take quite some time to do (the 'pow' one for instance).
@Chowdaire Still a no-show for me! The rare spawns are what's nail-biting actually. Still haven't caught that barreleye either, even though it's supposed to swim around everynight.
Oh and that paragraph about "days when going to the beach wasn't semi-illegal" and "playing N64 in our bedrooms with the curtains drawn instead"? Please never do that again.
The snowman you're making can be perfect in all sizes, you don't have to roll the bigger ball to its maximum size. It's all about proportion. The head has to be 1/4 smaller than the body.
Did they really have to add that tinkling sound to the floating snowflakes (which happen to spawn A LOT)? This is the Easter Balloon Wheezgate all over again.
Otherwise I'm glad this season finally arrived, been looking forward to it since March.
Why does this trailer look 1000 times better than everything else we’ve seen from the next gen games? I know I these are not in-game sequences but still
@Heavyarms55 @UmbreonsPapa yes I think we should be able to decorate the island much before, but at least we'll be all set for next year (if we're still playing the game) (if they don't add new items).
@WiltonRoots Speaking about music, if you have the chance you have to try Returns. It's full of melodies directly taken from the original DKC game and remixed. There's a factory stage where all the elements are synced to the music and it's amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y16pYyRwuRQ
@WiltonRoots Tropical Freeze is okay so far (halfway through world 3, Savannah land or something) : P I think I prefer Returns though. And it's still as punishing as ever!
Grabbed DK : Tropical Freeze because it was on sale and I've been longing to play it for a long time. Also Animal Crossing to enjoy the first snowfalls of the year, while catching up with Dragon Quest XI after a break.
Borderlands was on sale not too long ago so I bought the collection. Amazing series! Has anyone else experienced a massive increase in difficulty between 1 and 2? Or is it just me?
I have no recollection of the European art, probably because the game was bundled in the system’s box. I do remember that the art on the cartridge was the same as the NA one above, while the booklet was... yellow like the Japanese one shown here. Circle = full
I live in France. This made me go through my collection of Switch games and I was surprised to see everything was only in French, front to back.
I was surprised because I remember the NES and SNES eras had everything in English, French and Dutch as they were sold both in France and Belgium (and probably the Netherlands). Then the N64 era was multilingual, with additional languages such as Italian, Spanish and sometimes German texts appearing on the back of the box (which looked quite busy). I actually got two instruction booklets for GoldenEye 007, each containing different sets of translated instructions (while everything was English in-game), just like Monster Hunter Tri (pro controller edition) later on Wii with 2 thick booklets (more than 100 pages each).
But the front cover art was never touched. It was always in the small prints on the sides or the back. I don’t really understand why they bothered putting the Hyrule Warriors logo three times and not just once, with the appendix in smaller letters under it or at the bottom of the image. Or even slap a trilingual sticker on the plastic wrap over the English title (if you went through a fair amount of trouble and expense to have someone re-design this you could as well have someone design a sticker).
How are they doing this, technically speaking? Is there going to be a micro-update to download for each holiday? Can’t remember how it went for Creepy Rabb.. err, Bunny Day
I’ll get this day one because I can’t wait to play this game again. But except some tweaks in the lighting and a few touch ups for some textures it just looks like someone slapped a RAM Pak into their N64 rather than a remaster. Still glad it’s coming. Amazing game that deserves a second life.
Borderlands 2 if it gets patched and literally playable again* (got bored with the icy landscape though), getting busy 100%ing the Borderlands DLCs in the meantime.
I started believing in digital this year. Lockdown had me play 4-5 different games a day when I usually played 1-2 different games a month before. Switching between games that are saved on the console is much more practical. I'm not interested in building a collection or reselling. Ecology-wise I'm still on the fence about which is better between physical or digital (haven't really educated myself on this).
"Official soundtrack set of 3 CDs containing all the background music and vocal tracks" including one cd full of shrill, ear-piercing moans to get your neighbours to think you are sexually active. Or straight
They're all quite uninspired.
Europe looks like a placeholder image you find on online stores when the official art hasn't been revealed yet. But it goes straight to the point.
The other 2 are various degrees of "what should be do with that unused concept art now?".
I bought the Borderlands Collection as it was on sale recently, finished the first game and just started the second. Quite fun —albeit a tad repetitive — as being on lockdown (again) gunning shrieking psychomidgets sure is a nice way to vent.
Been playing it with a assortment of Metroid Prime and Shadow Man soundtrack playing in the background and it works very well.
Is there a game among these that could be compared to Shadow Man (N64) or Eternal Darkness (GCN)? In terms of atmosphere and plot. I'm more into psychological horror than visually scary stuff.
Just read some early access reviews on Steam and ouch... looks like the game doesn't really deliver. Let's hope the devs can work everything out until it's released because that trailer looks very promising.
This came as a nice surprise while watching the Direct Mini. I had never heard of that game and I'm going to check it out. Been playing Borderlands — a totally different genre I know ! — lately and I really love that kind of universe.
Lying flat in that tv shelf it looks even more like a binder with too many documents in it. Still/more amazed at the games the Switch can run in such a little body.
