Following on from last week's "all mouth" Smash Bros. Ultimate event, this week Nintendo is hosting a sleeveless spirit one.
It'll start later this week on 20th November, and will run for a total of three days. It's filled with sleeveless fighters and the reward is additional gold.
If you haven't already, be sure to download version 9.0.2 of Smash Ultimate. It includes various fixes and you can read more about it in our previous post. Will you be participating in this upcoming event? Tell us down below.

These are getting REALLY specific now.
I'm more of a hot nekkid ankle man myself. Rawrr. 😽
Can't wait for the "Depressed Spirit Event".
[never played SSB Utlimate] why is there the girl (Alexandra Whats-her-name) from Eternal Darkness on the picture, is she a playable character?
@echoplex I think she might be a spirit in the game. I don't think she is playable.
These spirit events have the oddest topics...
@echoplex No she isn't playable, she is a spirit. Spirits can be partnered with playable characters to give them boosts, like higher attack power or the ability to jump in midair more than normal. What boost you get depends on the abilities and stats of the spirit.
I see Alex Roivas in there. Please don't tease it. We know we ain't getting another ever.
I know it’s probably a cultural thing that I don’t get, what the heck are those series of three lines supposed to mean? The ones that are surrounding everyone’s shoulders.
@TG16_IS_BAE
I don't think it has anything to do with culture. Just like pointing arrows to show that this is what's common for all of them.
Well, except Alex, Shantae and Chun Li... and maybe Zelda. Why be consistent when you can choose not to be?
Well I think it's sexy!
@TG16_IS_BAE Those marks represent the noise emitted my the SHEER SCANDALOUSNESS of such BRAZENLY BARE limbs.
That is the squeak of NUDITY, you see - the rubbery squeal of EXPOSED FLESH - and I for one will NOT stand for it.
...I’m not entirely being facetious (just like, 95%). I genuinely believe they’re just ‘pop’ marks to visually accent and draw attention to the limbs in question. Much like the 💢 mark is meant to be a visual representation of anger, the ‘pop’ marks here cheekily accentuate the exposed arms, as if to say, “look how bare they are!”. They’re sort of like an explanation mark for bare biceps.
Good, the very day it start's to snow where I live!
Coming soon: Spirits With Less Than Usual Fingers Per Hand!
Scandalous! At least nobody could predict this one...
@Maxz This was pretty much the best thing to wake up to in the morning. Thanks for the intense laugh, my wife now thinks I’m insane.
@Aneira I guess I’ve only ever seen it in Japanese artwork! Anyway, whatever it is, it makes things look a lot more funny so there is that lol
@Dpullam @Tourtus Thank you !
