Where would Mario be without his old pal Donkey Kong? With this in mind, dataminers have supposedly uncovered evidence of DK stickers within Universal Studios' Super Nintendo World mobile app.
There have been rumours circulating for some time now about a possible DK ride, so could this latest discovery be a sign of things to come? Last week, during the Super Nintendo World livestream, there was no sign of Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong.
Last July, the Unofficial Universal Orlando Podcast, shared "leaked concept models" of Super Nintendo World, dating back to 2016. One image showed a Donkey Kong area featuring a 'Minecart Madness' ride. This section, in general, appeared to be based on the appearance and style of the Donkey Kong Country Returns games.
Of course, the same lot of stickers in the tweet above could simply be unused assets. We guess we'll just have to wait and find out. In the meantime, tell us if you like to see a DK section or ride perhaps added to Super Nintendo World in the future.

I can dig it. I'm not even all that into Donkey Kong, and I'd still be excited for a Tropical themed section. Still holding out for a Zelda dungeon inspired area, though.

Actually, come to think of it, it wouldn't be hard to sell plastic fake Cranky's canes, DK's tie, etc.
We would all be appreciative of a DK-themed announcement for the theme park, followed by the third game of a Retro Studios trilogy - however unlikely this might be.

@COVIDberry K. Rool in Smash and this park happening plus all of the Kong theming on Retro's website combined make me think that this isn't as far-fetched as it sounds.

If the ride is mine cart themed, surely a sticker would also be mine cart themed? I mean there's even a 1-up balloon sticker. Doesn't seem right to me.
Could Retro be sitting on a completed third DK Returns game featuring K. Rool? I doubt it. They've been too silent for too long - 8 years of nothing is borderline embarrassing. The pressure they must now be under to deliver a critically acclaimed Metroid Prime 4... :/

I remember an article from 3 years ago where Nintendo filed a patent concerning a Donkey Kong-like rollercoaster. The patent contained ideas to let the rollercoaster emulate a minecart-like level. The carts could jump and switch rails just like they do in Donkey Kong Country. Maybe they actually implemented these ideas into an actual rollercoaster? I hope so!

If a DK mine-themed ride exists one day in Super Nintendo World, will the guests be requested to stick their arms out at different times so that their bracelets trigger bonuses? Will said bonuses include medical insurance to cover any loss of limbs?

Awesome. Looks like different activity rewards such as Kong Letters, and bananas replacing coins. Hopefully a meet with DK and Diddy will be present too.
The concept for the mine cart ride with outdoor sections making it look like it's jumping the track are incredible. Can't wait for it.
