I usually look past graphics but ooh this one's ugly... It's all gray and lifeless and that please-hold-you-are-our-89th-user-in-line DMV switchboard soundtrack, GOD. But gameplay-wise it looks comprehensive and deep enough. I've always watched this series from a certain distance, maybe it'll be time for me to dive in when it's cheaper... I do get the niche pricing though.
@San_D I found the title of the article a bit misleading too (not a native speaker either haha).
@JoeKun I think NL just posted this because Nintendo posted a tweet about it earlier this week.
My first screen shots have been long deleted. I only kept a video of the Hero's Path showing me dying on repeat at the beginning of the One-Hit Obliterator (the trident) quest.
@Clyde_Radcliffe Cool photo ! How did you get the posters from Resetti and that cop whose name I don't remember (and the monkey... and rover)? Amiibos?
The controls seem atrocious and the lack of general finition is horrible, but some of the environments don't look that bad actually, in a simple lo-poly cartoon kind of way.
Great idea, meh design. Isn't it supposed to look better than the boxes if you had them? Having the "BOOK4GAMES" logo taking up so much space on the side is questionable.
edit : + are you stuck with Japanese writings if you go for the round design? Can we just remind North America they were they only ones to get that square concrete block.
I'm confident we will have a bigger update than this, but maybe not that soon. This is just part of the Mario Anniversary celebrations and has nothing to do with the game being released almost one year ago.
Then again Nintendo works in its mysterious ways and agendas. But if one might also understand the frustration of the fans, fans can also blame it on themselves when they anticipate stuff way too much as if everything was for granted (just like that NL article about hype described very well).
Too-much-text.
Felt like reading a seven-tome war chronicles of an empire I have no interest in with the occasional action sequences (which were good).
Is 35 that big a deal of a number ? Asking for a friend who spent their 35th alone in their pyjamas even before covid made it a thing
I remember people cosplaying for Zelda's 33rd and post pictures online because "3" made them think of the Triforce and swore to give Nintendo execs an awful death because they had not acknowledged that
@TheWingedAvenger I don't know if you're being serious so let me be ironical, have you ever heard of the 90s when there was no internet and that people played inside the same room?
Anyway I did spend hours with friends in the sewers of Northtown and Southtown or in the Mana Fortress to reach level 99 or grind up those magic abilities. It was fun.
@TheWingedAvenger Have you played these games with other players? The multiplayer mode made a difference. Ok, it was more a beat-them-all thing than an RPG but still the charm worked, and I remember levelling up sessions with friends that lasted for hours.
@Meikahidenori Thank you for explaining that. Still, as a recent player of MHGU it feels a bit too soon-ish ! The only one I had played before was Tri on Wii. I still might jump on the hype train when Rise releases
When I read about the re-release of this collection I immediately thought of the legal issues the RnRR soundtrack would ensue. I'm even surprised they are rereleasing it with the original music in 2021.
I'm glad for the fans that this new episode is just around the corner but I feel that the release of MHGU on Switch isn't that far enough for me to want this one.
Watching this with a mix of nostalgia and annoyment, I don't think we'll ever see that again on a Nintendo console or maybe after all the intellectual property rights expire in 4000 years.
I had no idea the guards were after James when Natalya was deactivating the satellite in the Control mission. Standing on the upper platform and luring them away from her would have made things way easier 20-odd years ago.
That's a great article ! But I think quite the opposite. While the game was released during tiring and trying times, it has always been a source of relief since. It doesn't remind me of the situation. Even though the 5 am music still triggers memories of anxiety-driven early wakings, and the subsequent let's-do-something-soothing-to-go-back-to-sleep shenanigans, its calming power still overtakes any bad memories.
Or maybe I'm just saying this because we're still in the middle of the pandemic and my feelings will change when we get back to a more 'normal' way of life.
To all wondering why Katy Perry — she's not that fresh anymore (music industry-wise, even though her last release was from 2020) but she's the only one out there who might be ready to be goofing around Pokemon. She's got a history of silly videos where she doesn't take herself too seriously. Ariana and Dua are too busy jetting around during a global pandemic to even care about this.
@CharizardEmperor @Mipha Suprised to see May Day was not more appreciated (maybe a lot of people acquired ACNH after that date). Out of all the invents i think it's the one that was more challenging and diverse than the others (which were more fetch-and-collect-y). Rover's maze was clever and even though the reward was not that great, solving the maze in itself was a rewarding experience.
My second choice was Turkey Day because it exploited the fishing mechanics quite well and the spawn rates on that day helped you get what was needed before the whole thing got on your nerves.
I don't feel sorry for them, especially not when they use cheap charity-like publicity stunts like these when they literally weigh millions of dollars..

I'll go visit Nintendo's island in Animal Crossing and see how they used the Mario items.

Re: Take A Look The Stunning Nintendo Switch Box Art For Mario Golf: Super Rush
@guamyankee Judging by the direction of their stare Toad has seen something the others have not.
@Clyde_Radcliffe it's enhanced by the swoosh effect of Mario's (big) club. It looks more natural in the video thumbnail.

They should do this in AR with Nintendo Labo or something (I don't know how either works).

That sharp pixel art slapped onto a smooth cartoon background though...

You must have the Residence Services upgraded to a building along with the plaza that comes with it. Sadly nothing can happen if you don't have those
Re: Poll: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
I would have it right now if Fnac hadn't shipped it via a private delivery company that requires you to be waiting at your door 20 hours a day.

Why don’t CDPR put up their own auction, since they lost all the data? Actually that’s what I understood from the headline.

I had the jet black one but I voted for the Pastels of Symphonia variant.
The device shown under 'Panasonic Q' is not a GameCube.

I still haven't got it : is it a remix/compilation of the past games (I swear I can recognise some cut-scenes) or did they start from scratch again?

I really laughed at that one. It IS kinda bland. They had got off to a wrong start with pre-naming it "Gods and Monsters" anyway.
Re: Groups Of Pikmin Have Been Spotted In The Wild At Super Nintendo World
With that weird base thing those Pikmin look like a diorama someone left there. It all looks out of place.
Still looks very Super Mario World though.
