2K Black Friday Sale Discounts BioShock, Borderlands, WWE And More On Switch (North America)

I actually have/had all of these games except for Carnival Games.

Highly recommend PGA 2K21 (in handheld though).

And in case somebody doesn't already know about it: don't get WWE 2K18

I've been meaning to get the Borderlands and Bioshock collections

XCOM2 is tempting for that price! Wondering how well it runs these days as heard it was a bit sloow at first

You can get the Bioshock/xcom/borderland games physical for the same price here in Canada!

I grabbed the Bioshock Collection, but man does it eat up space. As someone who loves single player shooters, is Borderlands worth a look? I also like turn based strategy so I'm wondering if the XCOM games are worth getting. Any fans of either series here?

FYI, anyone wanting BioShock: The Collection physically on Switch can order it online for USD $20 on multiple retail sites right now. Noticed this while checking out deals on Best Buy yesterday.

@bleedinmagic81 I bought both yesterday, "physically", for slightly less than this sales price. "Physically", because most of it has to be downloaded still, and it's a LOT of data. Being limited on download volume and storage space also costing money, it simply has to be considered in the price.

I would buy something like bioshock, Borderlands or XCOM if they had cross save with PC (like The Witcher 3) it should be encouraged by Nintendo

Picked up XCOM, excited to start it right after Age of Calamity.

@Giygas_95 They are really fun. It's turn based strategy, but in this game, you can scale and go inside buildings and blow up walls and ceilings, which is not what you can say for Fire Emblem. There are main characters, but none of which are used in battle. Instead, the player recruits the soldiers and they have their own names and nationalities (except for some reason you always start out with a woman named Jane Kelly who's from Ireland). The campaign is pretty long, there are no "chapters" but rather a timeline and you choose which missions to play out as you achieve objectives, and levels are also procedurally generated too.

@backup368 That does sound cool! I'd like to try it sometime when I've cleared out some of my massive backlog...

I'm definitely buying XCOM2 at that price. Would have loved to get it physical, but the "physical" release on those games is like here's the first two missions, now download the rest of it. Might as well be digital at that point.

Civ VI is actually available cheaper eleswhere, I think Best Buy have it for $20. Just pointing it out because I want everyone to play Civilization.

@Giygas_95 Borderlands is excellent, the loot system is a bit like Diablo in that guns drop with randomly generated stats (improving as you go up in level). This includes shotguns, pistols, SMGs etc., all of which might be your next 'best' gun. The missions are fun. If you only have time to play one, Borderlands 2 is the best.

Hoping the Borderlands sale comes to UK would love to buy them

FYI: The WWE 2K game is worth less than the price of $0. It's buggy, generally unplayable, has interminable load times, plays slow as molasses, and is not fun. There are intriguing wrestling games coming our way soon (Yukes' AEW and RetroMania). Save your SD card space for those.

@Giygas_95 I was wondering if you buy the collection digitally, does it come up as one icon or are there separate icons for each of the three games?

@Giygas_95 I forgot to mention the ragdoll physics. So you can shoot aliens off of rooftops & it looks really insane. You can also throw grenades on rooftops and the aliens will fall through to the floor below it.

I highly recommend X-COM 2 if you enjoy tactics games.

@backup368 I love ragdoll physics. First exposure to them was Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Double Agent. Been a fan ever since.

I recently purchased the Boarderlands Bundle when it was on sale on Amazon. I played it with a friend originally on the 360. I have only played the first game but it reminded me that I don't care for the series. I kind of regret my purchase.

Can anyone give me the low-down on WWE Battlegrounds?

@Giygas_95 Thank you for the heads-up on my error! Yes, I love Bioshock; but I don't care for Boarderlands and regret the purchase.

@dkxcalibur Well I hope I don't regret my purchase because I got the Borderlands collection 50% off. I love a good sale and just about any first or third person shooters on Switch...

God I wish 2K would bring over Spec Ops: The Line. I could get it for PS3, but I'd much prefer it on Switch.
