I like how no one mentions just like violent films video games are age rated, also video games are the number one form of entertainment for both adults & children. Scapegoating video games will not lower mass shooting or shooting in general in the us, but what ever makes them feel better until the next mass shooting.

@Shiryu Gameplay wise it is definitely not Overwatch two different games gameplay wise. Go into detail how it is Overwatch and you'll very quickly come unstuck. There are reasons a good team picks certain characters in Overwatch much like players in a MOBA.

How do you think MH ended-up being "exclusive" to Nintendo's platform in the first place? Some of you lot need to remember Nintendo are a business just like Sony & Microsoft before you go on a hypocrite rant.

@NabbitFan730 Just because this article is about a spin-off game that doesn't make it a fact. This website made a article right after the announcement since then the developers have confirmed things. Like this is Monster Hunter 5 a mainline game but thay went with calling it Monster Hunter World so people wouldn't be put of by the 5. Its also been in development for 4 years by the main Monster Hunter development team and that its a proper Monster Hunter game. Nintendo never owned Monster Hunter thay only had some many games exclusive because of Nintendo's deal with Capcom.

Please go into detail about how not supporting Cross-Play is anti-customer. How it effects people's game's in a negative way even though its only supports two game's. And the benefits of how playing against Switch/Xbox players is any different from playing against PS4 players. Its also like the Sony doesn't support Cross-Play because thay do, their is also no difference between playing against PC player than what there is playing against PS4 player. If fact you wouldn't even know if wasn't for the fact there is a icon next to the name of the PC/PS4 player. Cross-Play has been that important because how anti-customer it is it hardly ever spoken about, oh sorry once in a blue moon especially if its a slow news day. And no one battered a eye-lid when Microsoft did the very same thing, thats how anti-customer people thought that was at that time. But the funny thing is it takes developers to speak about anti-customer policies like Microsofts parity clause, not the customers themselves which tells you everything you need to know. It obviously be successful especially coming off the Wii U but how successful its hard to tell, Xmas and 2018 you'll be able to judge it a bit better. As for launch Zelda BOTW was the Switches selling point, it'll only get better with new software coming.

@MarcelRguez Patches are nothing new to consoles, its because publishers & Dev's know full well thay can put out a unfinished and people still will buy it. Knowing it'll come with a day one patch or patched later on down the line, now if one did buy them games in the start games today would be a lot more bug free.

@MarioPhD Actually Tony Hawk is the greatest game of all time according to some, so this greatest game of all time doesn't hold much wait. There is a saying: beauty is in the eye of the beholder, think about it.

It was only a week or so that everyone was saying this wasn't an issue, good to see Nintendo actually doing something about it. Here on out this will not be a problem thanks to the people that opened there mouths about the problem, not because thay hated Nintendo and make the Switch look bad. You cannot go off launch sales to predict how well a device will sell, and i doubt the Switch will sell anything like the Wii. Especially considering Nintendo most popular hardware doesn't even come close to them numbers 3DS, also all the top selling hardware has something in common 3rd party support.

Its very safe to say, if your a gamer & not a casual that'll play something like Skyrim on the go. Then your going to need another console.

I think its safe to say no port of a Dark Souls game is coming to the Switch anytime soon, unless its a total different development team porting it. As From Software are working on three new games at the moment, so its highly unlikely From Software will be porting anything.

Another crap 3D Sonic game Sonic Mania will be a ten times a better Sonic game.

Hardware selling at a loss is a myth nowadays, especially after both Sony & Microsoft lost $8 billion last gen bewteen them. The Switch will like the PS4 will already be making Nintendo a profit, so this Xmas holiday you likely see Switch bundle's with Zelda or Mario. So people waiting until the end of the year is wise, because thay are going to get a bit of a better deal. Also there are not missing out on much at the moment, i'll waiting until the end of the year also.

Nintendo Switch no stock available thats all i here, which that statement is false especially in the UK. Amazon UK, Asda UK, Argos UK want one go and get one, thats not the problem in the UK after Zelda what else is there to play but indie games. Thats the problem games AAA, so the next spike in sales will likely be this Xmas holiday where there are games like Mario Odyssey, Slatoon, Mario Kart etc. And the Switch itself will likely be bundled with Zelda BOTW, Mario Kart or Mario Odyssey, making it look a lot more appealing.

Power doesn't matter? then whats the point in having a new consoles every 5-6 years with extra power? We might as well just let game-play mechanics go stale now, and have no innovation in gaming at all. Power doesn't all mean graphics, there are a lot more things power brings over graphics fact. Go and have a read at what dev's have been able to do gameplay wise because of power.

The TX1 is under-clocked as it is in console mode, but going into portable mode it's further under-clocked so the 720p resolution isn't going to give you more performance.

As long as there are brick & mortar stores around digital price's on consoles will also be the same price as a RRP game in a brick & mortar store, or until consoles go fully digital which is years away.

It was such ashame Satoru Iwata passed on, but he will live on in the memory of gamers.

A real Sonic game at last, definitely picking it up for both the PS4 & Switch when i pick it up as soon as Mario Odyssey releases.

Nintendo's biggest challenge is keeping the sales going, Nintendo should do well this Xmas especially with new games like Mario Odyssey and other games coming. I can see Nintendo porting other Wii U games over as well, it would be a wise move considering a lot of people missed out on Wii U games. It'll also give them games another sales boost, while keeping games releasing on the Switch. Its a very good time to be a gamer at the moment, in a healthy industry.

@darth2d2 Seeing as the XboxOne has sold more than the very popular Xbox360 in the same time frame, thats a bad thing? Meny in the industry thinks thats is a good thing, and shows how healthy the console market actually is especially when XboxOne is considered a flop. Especially when you consider consoles where written off for dead, and the PS4 & XboxOne where going to do Wii U numbers. Website where even saying when the PS4 sold 1 million consoles in 24 hours, not to take that as a good sign. All three consoles selling well consoles gamers should be happy, in knowing there hobby is far from dead as these website where predicting around 4 years ago.

Switch sold out that means i wouldn't be able to buy one anywhere yes? but if i take a 5 minute walk to my local Asda i can pick one up right now, thats not quite sold out.

Zelda coming in second is very good for Nintendo.

So basically there is no difference between the Switch & the Wii U version, its just resolution in console mode Switch is 900p towards Wii U's 720p. And both drops frame-rates down to 20fps but portable mode is a lot more smoother frame-rate wise, making it the best version to play on. Hopefully Nintendo patches the docked mode asap, it disappointing really that there is no extra graphical improvement on a new console.

Did you know the best version of Zelda is in portable mode? In console mode the frame-rate tanks to 20fps when your just running about, also there are basically no difference graphics wise between console & portable mode. Frame-rate wise while frames do drop in portable mode, its no where as bad as in console mode. Hopefully Nintendo patches it and these tests where done on the latest version, obviously by Digital Foundry.

Looking forwards to getting one towards the end of the year when Odyssey is out, at the moment there are to many excellent games out & coming out. Just this month alone i've got Horizon, Nier Automata, Mass Effect & Kingdom Hearts 1.5-2.5 Remix. So by the end of the year hopefully it'll also come with a game, and i'll have a lot more money to spend.

The PS4 has a software attach rate of 7.51 games per console, that is higher than both the PlayStation 2 & Wii at the same point in there life cycle. The PlayStation 2 had software attach rate of 6.2 at the same time in its life cycle, the Wii 7.1.
