well the guys from COD did say that they built a new "next gen" engine

Activision said that, & Infinity Ward has said themselves it's not a brand new engine, it would be impossible to build a new engine from the ground up in 2years. It's the same engine thay've been using for over 10years but with a few updates.I 'll be picking up BF4 for the PS4, 64players in multiplayer & thay are making a better campaign, this time around.

Re: Weirdness: SEGA Employee Has a Bad Day, Says Bayonetta 1 & 2 Are Almost "Exactly the Same"

banacheck

"That said, the decision on which version to purchase is really up to you. The games are exactly the same except the WiiU version has a two player mode and the Bayonetta character has different hair and her costume is different." Sega Rep is now talking about the Bayonetta 1 port to WiiU.

There is a little problem with that, Bayonetta one doesn't have a two player mode, & if thay where to port it it would still be a single player game.

I wonder if the extra hard difficulty will still be called "Non-Stop Infinity Climax"?

The original Lords of Shadows games where good, & so is the new Lords of Shadows game. To me the new Lords of Shadows game is nothing like GOW, but than again these are the same people that call the new DMC game good, thank god that wasn't popular, because NT did destroy DMC.

Re: Satoru Iwata Cites Poor Basic Wii U Sales To Rule Out Price Cut Benefits

@element187

You can get the basic almost half off in the UK, and the premium for almost a third off

This is what did my head in a bit, knowing if i waited a few more months i would of got my Wii U quite a bit cheaper. But no one could of seen this coming, but games like The Wonderful 101 & Pikim 3 make-up for it. & ZombiU, NSMB not the best Mario but still good.

Re: Talking Point: The Wonderful 101 Direct and Demo Set the Standard for Wii U Marketing

I'm not really into the ND but its good for people that are, if i want to know about a game this is where youtube & websites come in. But the game is good hopeful the rental version has more depth, which PG are known for. but funny thing is if this game was on another system you probably wouldn't worry about that. over the years N has became the king of casual, i think thats where there problem lies.

@Dreamcaster-X because not everyone will sing 'Nintendo will live forever.' people are just giving their candid opinion.

You also have to be careful about giving your honest opinion on here, Nintendo fanboys well call you a troll.

I like the game but the combo depth isn't there, tapping X or A is a bit repetitive, the blocking window is wide open. The blocking window should fail if the timing is off, drawing the colour coded fist (red), sword (blue) & gun (green). Is neat & easy it works well too, plus your men can use the fist, sword or gun. Fun game..

Re: Out Now: Art Academy: SketchPad Arrives, Right on Time, in North America and Europe

banacheck

Anyway so many people have waited for this since the announcement of the GamePad. And its only $4! Where can you get a drawing app of that quality at that price? Nintendo keeps surprising. I thought drawing on the 3DS XL was great, but this is definitely a step up. I'll be using it a lot.

I agree the app is well worth the money, there was a drawing tablet for the PS3 that was quite good actually. But the Wii U is a lot better i think for drawing, also the Wii U's stylus feels a lot better to hold, not a think thing. Also the price of the app is very cheap, like i said before well worth the money.

Re: The Wonderful 101 Demo Coming to Europe Today

The game is pretty good but a bit too easy tho, the demo only has very easy, easy, normal. if the full version does not have hard & extra hard the game will be far to easy in my eyes, the camera can be a pain. There is an element of button mashing to the game, the only combo i came across was a two button combo A+B, This game is aimed at casuals judging from the demo, this does make me fear for Bayonetta2. Oh and the HUB has far to much crap on it, with the tutorial popping up blocking the bottom left of the screen, even after pressing L the thing still pops up.

@Marshi Maybe... but why would they announce their a surprise demo of their biggest market doesn't get to download it yet?

The Wii U isn't selling well here so thay must be focusing on EU, to try and get it selling, hence the game releasing later in the US. Anyways off to download the Demo.

Re: Iwata: Getting The Attention Of Gamers Is Harder Than Ever

banacheck

The problem with the Wii U could be the GamePad itself, if people don't take to the GamePad or like the idea of it. You really think thay'll pay £350 to find out if thay like the system or not, also these people probably own a Wii & are probably casual gamers. Who don't care about graphics or the next big game etc, so yes these people are very hard to sell a console too. Especially if thay already own a Wii, and the Wii U is not being marketed as the Wii 2, something totally new altogether in there eyes.

They lost $8 billion on the ps3, to put in to perspective it is more than their ps1 and ps2 profits combined.

8 billion where did you get that from? because i can tell you now the PS3 didn't lose Sony 8 billion.

But if you can button mash through it then I won't want to play it.

Hopefully thay've done the same sort of system thay've done for Bayonetta 2, touchscreen & button mashing for casual players. & the option to choose the real control system for the more hardcore players, real combo's etc, i'm also hoping to see harder difficulty settings, not just easy, normal, hard. But this is PG so hopefully The Wonderful 101 has this, looking forwards to it.

@banacheck Where did u read that from the official investors report, mind linking that? Last estimates were that xone and ps4 needed to sell 3games per unit. Its worth noting that x360 and ps3 made almost no profit on console units, ms made most if their money via Live which is the main reason sony have changed their psn service to include multiplayer.

Considering Sony lost $306.85 on every single low-end ($499) PS3 it sold, the PS4 is hardly selling at a loss unlike the PS3 did. Also it took Sony four years to start making a profit on the PS3 hardware. No Sonys charging for the multiplayer to offer a better online service, otherwise that would be impossible to do with a free online service, you got to love these fanboys.

Remember people you can only say good things about Nintendo, this is the fanboy way, especially when you post on forums.

Bungie use to make games for the Macintosh, & if i remember rightly Myth was a very successful franchises, not just Halo. Also Rare made games for the ZX Spectrum, before making games for Nintendo.

Actually the PS4 will be hardly selling at a loss, unlike the PS3, you'll find Sony statement if you look online.

The Wii U sells quite a bit lower than the RRP in the UK, this fall more than any other will be challenging for Nintendo. With the PS4 coming in at $399, & the Wii U price at $349, there is not a lot in it.

Re: Bethesda: Wii U Is "Not On Our Radar" Right Now

banacheck

The Elder Scrolls Online for PS4 and Xbox One is identical to PC ... unchanged between the PC and next-gen console versions.

Watered down ports them days are gone, but i'm not sure if the days of the PC getting the short end of the stick is gone tho.

arhh that hurt, it should doesn't the truth always hurt?

Re: Bethesda: Wii U Is "Not On Our Radar" Right Now

banacheck

I'm looking forwards to The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG for the PS4, which is being developed by ZeniMax Online Studios & published by Bethesda.

Spoony_Tech

i was going to mention Oblivion for the PS3 & 360, you beat me to it.

Warruz

The Evil Within is going to be good, it's being developed by Tango Gameworks & published by Bethesda. Tango Gameworks has some bloody good developers from Grasshopper Manufacture, Platinum Games, Capcom & Shinji Mikami himself, who created the Resident Evil series.

Arcade mode

The trick to scoring high scores for the Leaderboards, is collecting the gems for the multiplyer, but if you miss a gem or die you lose the multiplyer. Also the faster you collect the gems the more points you get, once you pass level 50 your multiplyer will go from a 8x to a 12x multiplyer, than every 20 levels the multiplyer will get higher 70, 90 etc. i really like the game.

Re: Iwata Looking To Return To "Nintendo-Like Profits" This Financial Year

banacheck

About the GamePad, Iwata you need to get your developers working on second screen gaming that you can interact with & is useful. DICE BF4 uses second screen as an option, & what thay've done is actually useful. & seeing as that is there first attempt, it's a lot better than anything i've seen on the Wii U, surely your not going to be beaten at your own game, are you? Next-Gen is here and it's bring second screen gaming.

Real gamers don't play COD, thats why its on the Wii U, plus the PS3 doesn't have the party chat feature. And isn't COD mainly an Xbox game?
