Re: Preview: Nintendo Switch Hands-On: UI, Size, Mii Maker, Micro SD Cards And More

banacheck

This is a very good and helpful article for some, like i've said i'll be picking up a Switch towards the end of the year. By then we'll know a lot more about games, and Nintendo hopefully will have patched in gameplay recording by then. I hope thay make there own editing tools like Sonys, i love making my own gameplay video's straight from the console. Zelda BOTW & Mario Odyssey gameplay video's looking forwards to it.

Re: Bethesda's Todd Howard "Can't Say" If Skyrim on Switch is the Special Edition

It'll be a 360/PS3 version with better frame rates & resolution, you also have to remember the Tegra X1 in the Switch is heavily underclocked in console mode never mind portable. People using pictures to say otherwise is pointless untill you actually see it running on the Switch itself, as these publishers have no worries showing the PC version of the game and calling it something else like they did the whole of last generation. Hell even Nintendo themselves are showing PS4 footage in some of there trailers, don't be green.

Re: Editorial: 'NX' Development Documentation Gives Few New Insights, But The Leak is Far From Ideal

banacheck

These leaks documents will be whats in the Nintendo Switch, even though its a old document hardware gets locked down well ahead of time. Software wise it'll likely resemble the UI whats in the Switch now, if anything changed it'll mainly be small changes if anything. If you reporting on leaks from places like Digital Foundry your reporting on information from confidential documents, the only difference is it written text and not the documents themselves. Digital Foundry sources is not some random guy off reddit, thay are the developers themselves you would have to be ignorant to think otherwise. But you will not show the leaked documents themselves, it doesn't matter if you show the documents or not as you've already published information from them documents. But to report on leaks as leaks are very different to rumours, but not show the documents because of some high ground belief is double standard Isn't it?

Re: Nintendo Details How Voice Chat And Multiplayer Lobbies Work In Splatoon 2

@Luna_110 Sony's PS Vita memory move was very anti-customer who said it wasn't? as it only gave the customer one overpriced option, Nintendo's online system adds in a smart phone with data costs. And then if you don't own a smart phone its tough luck right, or the right smart phone going off Nintendo's other mobile app offerings or are thay not the target audience also?

Re: Nintendo Details How Voice Chat And Multiplayer Lobbies Work In Splatoon 2

I can now see why Nintendo always says we are not competing with other console's, competition it good for us the customer it helps drive down prices and bring us better products etc, other words Nintendo wants no part of this which is very anti-customer. Until one day people say enough is enough bring your products up to date and competitive prices.

Re: Japanese Gamers Think Nintendo Switch Is Too Expensive, But Don't Mind Paying For Online Access

banacheck

@remag The PS4 Pro is a PS4 hence the name "PS4" Pro, all that's different is resolution & frame rate, the PS4 Pro is designed to be played on 4K HDR TV's. It also takes quite a lot of power to push 4K graphics, hence the reason Microsoft have gone for 6Tflops. And even then the Scorpio will also make use of upscaling technique's on certain game's, the PS4 Pro & Scorpio are made for people with 4K HDR TV's.

Re: Ultra Street Fighter II's Online And Ranked Modes Get Detailed

I forgot there is no D-Pad so that's the price for the game a Fight-Stick or Pro controler, i have a Fight-Stick on my PS4 for Street Fighter 5 but i doubt it'll work with the Switch. But seeing as i'm picking up a Switch later this year hopefully the price has lowered at bit, depending on the beginning price of the game that is.

Re: First Impressions: Feeling Young Again With Sonic Mania

banacheck

At last a real Sonic game i cannot wait to play Sonic Mania, for now i'll be buying for my PS4 but latter this year when i get my Switch i'll be definitely buying it again. To support the dev's and show my support, and hopefully more follow suit. The classic "SAGA" when starting it up, cannot wait.

Re: Talking Point: Is the Nintendo Switch a Handheld or Console? Does it Matter?

banacheck

I didn't know if i slot my PSVita into a toaster and connect it to the TV its classed as a console, amazing. Sony should "Switch" its ads, the PSVita is a hybrid console, just make a square bit of plastic with a HMDI cable and slap $90 on it and magic its a Home Console.

It clear people don't know the difference between the two, a Console is a device thats sits under your TV. With each generation seeing improved hardware, a Handheld is a portable device that can only be so powerful because of the nature of it. Hence the reason the Switch graphics is unimpressive if called a Home Console, a barely graphical set up from the Wii U. But as a Handheld its a different story graphics wise, i think after the Wii U Nintendo is done with Home Console's.

Re: Nintendo Has Involved Third Parties "Since The Beginning" With Switch, Says EA's Patrick Söderlund

banacheck

Considering FIFA is custom built rumoured to be from the PS3/360 version, which doesn't surprise me you might as well buy the proper version from PS4, Xbox or PC. I honestly doubt Nintendo went to 3rd parties as i cannot see 3rd parties being happy with an underclocked Tegra X1, the Tegra X1 cannot even run at its full potential in console mode. One of Respawn designers when asked if Titanfall2 would come to the Switch Said, no, thats the same Zelda as on the Wii U. And people really think 3rd parties are fully aboard? the games are all ports from last generation hell even the Wii U had its own exclusive on launch from 3rd parties, i will not believe it until i see the sales of the Switch and only then if good Will 3rd parties come aboard like with the Wii.

Re: Talking Point: Let's Explore What Could Be Done with HD Rumble on the Nintendo Switch

banacheck

I remember when the Wii U first came out all these new ways of playing, but Nintendo let alone anyone else couldn't put the feature to good use. in the end you would just read articles how Nintendo themselves didn't use there own features, so in reality the costumer foots the bill for a feature Nintendo may or may not use. There is a reason why the joypad is still around, and things like motion controls come & go and get called gimmicks.

Re: Reggie on How the Switch Will Maintain Third Party Support

banacheck

All he states is the obvious he doesn't go into detail about how Nintendo will keep 3rd party support, if no one buys 3rd party games or the ship starts sinking again. Because lets face it the 3rd party games that matter like Battlefield One are not coming to the Switch, even FIFA will be a custom made game for the Switch so the Switch is already at a disadvantage when it comes to 3rd party Support.
