Why would anyone want a PS4 over a Wii U is beyond me, and I have two PS3s! I look at the PS4 lineup and see a wasteland devoid of anything even accidentally interesting, now or in the near future,

Why would anyone want to buy a console with poor support? it hardly gets good 3rd party games and when it does it doesn't support the full features. If you buy a Wii U its for its exclusive only and thats it, apart from DK after Xmas the Wii U is dead until spring.

Now Knack got a fair few bad reviews apart from Push Square review & people that have actually played the game unlike others on here, Knack being a platformer like Mario but unlike Mario hasn't been around for decades. I think it comes down too people want a change, i mean how long can you play the same sort of thing? for some people decades thats why no news IP's sell on Nintendo's consoles its as simple as that.

What's irritating about this is that PS4 and Xbox One have no must-have games right now, and yet many people still bought them.

That reminds me of another console, oh yes the Wii U.

This doesn't come as a surprise as thay are far more popular consoles, Nintendo on the other hand need to get there act together. Taken back by HD leading to game delays for months on end, this sort of thing should have been sorted out before the Wii U even released.

The Wii U is aimed at Kids and casual gamers thats more or less fact, where as the PS4 is aimed more towards adults and so god knows how you come to this conclusion.

Far more parents have money this Xmas than broke-@$$ gamers who want a ps4/xBone.

unless you mean you yourself taking it that your an adult that is? and god knows why you think family's are made of money with other priority's. After the launch window its 2014 so software not a problem Q1 onwards, when rambling use logic not nonsense.

I've been playing Killzone Shadow Fall & Resogun and will be playing these over the weekend, i've still not touched AC4 or BF4 as i want to finish Killzone4 first.

TVii in EU has been useless for a year,

PS4 this friday as well them figures Game put out are very impressive for EU launch, its already done one million in 24 hours in two country's. So i'm fully expecting the PS4 to outsell the XboxOne in its homeland, but the XboxOne sales are good also considering the XboxOne announcement. 2014 is going to be an excellent year for games, Infamous: Second Son, The Division, MGS Ground Zeroes, Watch Dogs, Destiny, The Evil Within, The Witcher 3 and loads more, just 4 more days to wait.

Why does everyone always stereotype PS3 games? Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Dragons Crown, LBP, Puppeteer, Ratchet and Clank into the Nexus, i could go on. Are no more violent than mario but for me it a variety of different games that i can play, from RPG like Darks Souls/Dragons Crown to LBP, Puppeteer. Plus the odd FPS & racer it would drive me nuts playing nothing but a few types of games, thats why i welcome indies . The spec thing console deliver amazing graphics while not having to mess around with your rig, high end PC just for gaming is a total waste of hardware on games alone. As most games of today are develop for consoles first and for most, that will never take advantage of a high end PC . I think some gamers want a powerful console to play games with smarter AI, physics, graphics but also knowing it'll run the games and not trun out into something like Skyrim which was a total mess unplayable.Also a lot of people also grew-up with games like GOW, MGS,KH etc so it holds a special place, why play one console when you can choose more than one.

I'm not sure as mario 3D world does nothing for me as i've played a lot of mario games, but DK Tropical Freeze is another story cannot wait for that. While i'll be buying DK Tropical Freeze day one, i can wait until sometime after xmas for mario.

Cannot wait for Dark Souls2, had to say that sorry as this article reminds me how meny modern games are far to easy. So i welcome games like Demon's Souls/Dark Souls, ZombiU was good too and how thay implanted permadeath by replacing your character. But you could go back to get your stuff back from your last character, i would like too see a ZombiU2 also ashame.

I can pretty much tell you now your not going to get anywhere button mashing through the challenges & combos including all of Batman's combat moves, towards some like God of War which is a button masher.

There is a big difference between the real world and the internet, on the internet you haven't got a clue who your speaking too. Take a post on here that i seen to do with my little pony, what was the first thing that came into your head when you seen that post? i know what i thought.

I already own a Wii U obviously have a PS3 and on the 29/11 i'll have a PS4, i think the PS4 will do well this gen. Launch consoles are always the same but the PS4 has had a ten times better launch than the PS3 and its barely out, i cannot wait to get my PS4 in 13 days now. The games i'm happy with it could of been a bit better but early 2014 some games will be here plus new games announcements. I don't think the XboxOne will do as bad as some might think just because of the price point, the PS3 came out a year behind Xbox360 and with a higher pice point but still out sold the 360. I think the Wii U will do alright but not as good as the other two, like it or not i see it going this way Nintendo missed a big opportunity with the Wii U especially lossing 3rd party support.

More disturbingly for me there is the loss of MP3 and video playback from USB drives or network shares.

I couldn't careless if thay didn't come back but sadly Sony will be adding them, it puzzles me why people want less capable gaming hardware and more pointless features that thay already own that has got nothing at all to do with gaming, casuals typical.

Sony tried to tell us the ps4 will have 1.8 teraflops of processing power back in Feb, but with game after game announced will run at 30fps, with many failing to hit a full 1080p, I doubt it's anywhere in the neighborhood. Sony lied about the ps3's specs as well.

Killzone4 single player 30fps@1080p a design choice, Killzone4 multiplayer 60fps@1080p, COD Ghosts 60fps@1080P, BF4 60fps@900p, Resogun 60fps@1080p, Assassin's Creed 4 60fps@1080p, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls 60fps@1080p, 60fps@1080p will be standard this gen. Most of these games have been made on incomplete hardware, and how the hell can you lie about your specs? i think developers & the public would somehow notice lol.

I've said it before and i'll say it again Nintendo are slowly but surely losing touch, and thay expect to sell 9 million units by April, nuts. Thay are also putting all there eggs in one basket, by excepting the Wii U to fly off the shelf this xmas.

I don't rate this game i downloaded off the PSN PS+, to me its just a rip-off of another excellent PSN game only with added diamonds to collect.

I'm surprised people still haven't played ZombiU or ACIII, i'm trying to finish all my unplayed games before the 29/11. Rayman Legends, Dragon's Crown, Kingdom of Hearts 1.5, Ni no Kuni, Remember Me & still got too finish Diablo III and playing Batman Arkham Origins at the moment. I'm waiting for Mario 3D & Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for my Wii U, everything else PS4 or PS3 only. Only one month too go and counting.

It is definitely worth getting especially if your a fan of the other two games.

I've been playing Batman:Arkham Origins since yesterday, so i'll be play this over the weekend. I'm actually very surprised how good Origins is seeing as rocksteady haven't made this one, does it live up too the other two Batman games? so far hell yes.

finally someone speaking sense, it totally ties in with what Sony has said themselves.

"But that'll be a gradual process, and to say 'we're releasing a new console, so trade in your old ones for it' would be a maker's ego talking, plain and simple."

I also think Nintendo has made a mistake stopping support of the Wii , its like thay are trying to force Wii owners over to the Wii U. New consoles always have a gradual process going from one console to another, slowing but surely Nintendo are losing touch.

Thank god thay've cut NintendoLand & replaced it with New Super Mario U and New Super Luigi U, actually thay should of waited for the new 3D Mario but this is a lot better than the NintendoLand bundle.

probably be picking this up this week on the PS3, seeing as the development team is not Rocksteady this time around i'm surprised how well its turned out.

This is no surprise, i'm actually waiting until after xmas depending how suff sales to hear Ubisoft are the next to follow suit.

I know the difference between a console & a handheld, these two numbers around 90K Wii U - 60K from one region japan PSVita. Where both released around the same time have a look on the internet yourself, and seeing as nearly everyone on this website always say "at least the Wii U is doing better than the Vita" which its not plus ones a console andthe others a handheld like you pointed out, so i used your lot logic.

Its great to see the Wii U sales rise but in other news, the PS3 outsales Xbox360 in its home country US. The PSVita sales also rise, maybe because we are coming towards Xmas? or it might mean everything is on the rise.

Around 90K Wii U world sales = 60K PSVita sales japan only.

I see Nintendo and there "Original" ideas sometime end up in court, some might call that straight. Like there is no smoke without fire, but if your from NintendoLand everyones out to get Nintendo. I find it very ironic he uses the word "Missinformed" because thats what he has done himself, "missinformed" people about what the PS4 & PSVita actually do. In fact what the PS4 & PSVita will actually do you'll be able to also use the PS3 in the near future, as well as mobiles, laptops, PC, TV's etc which is a long way off but part of the overall plan.The PSVita & PS3 can do what the Wii U does, hence LBP DLC never mind the PS4 which will do it better. But Sony are not actually pushing that part of the PSVita, if you take 5mins of your life to go and actually look yourself you might actually find out what it is being used for, and you might actually learn something for once.

I don't think people understand what quality actually means, quality in a game obviously does take time. But gone are the days of developer’s having the responsibility of debugging, hence as games got bigger developer's & publisher realized that they needed to invest in a larger pool of testers, hence Quality Assurance. But seeing as we are in 2013 quality management should be done at every point in the game development cycle, cutting it short quality in a game has nothing to do with gameplay or the actually size of the game.

You haven't noticed remote-play since 2006 which has obviously evolved over the years, you also haven't noticed when the PS4 was first announced Sony went on to explain the the PSVita & PS4 where in development together? and why the PS4 & PSVita remote play will work better than the PS3 & PSVita remote play. Yet you've only just woke-up to the fact Sony is pushing remote play with the PS4 & PSVita, are you even aware we are almost in 2014?

Meh, didn't Nintendo already spin this tune when the Wii U was first released, and look at that outcome. i think Nintendo should be focusing on this xmas, because if it doesn't do any better there is no 3rd party support.

I would tend to say it's maybe a bit closer to current gen than next gen

PS4 version for me plus we get the exclusive content too.

GTAV Online has been done very well, you've got missions just like you have in the single player you can play with 4 others or on your own. It's one of the best examples of online, and the best thing about it the game lasts for months years even as thay'll be adding more content, but not every dev is like R*.

I think if you've played GTAOnline you'll know it hasn't comprised anything.

The PS3 has been around nearly 8 years all i see is added features, but yes its a total mystery why thay removed the other OS. I think you would be more at home on a PC, where piracy is easy.
