@RupeeClock I sure hope that's sarcasm. Every game has cut content in it that just has access to it cut off. That's because there's likely a huge amount of code that references the cut content, and to remove all references to it would take a lot of work and QA testing to make sure it works afterwards. Removing the content completely can break the game or introduce more bugs.
I just want to see what the weather effects look like. I wasn't impressed with the original trailer until they showed the improved weather. I can handle occasional bad models and textures.
I'll have to see a review or at least some video. The lighting and weather effects were the biggest thing to get me excited for this and if it's not there... I can't see being too interested.
I actually prefer the feeling of the guns in this game to the original Quake. The shotgun was underpowered in Quake, and here they have a really nice kick to them.
Making the prices $29.99US and $49.99US for the single and family accounts respectively would have been a lot easier to swallow. The rumor is that much of this price increase will be going to Sega for licensing, and if that's true and that they can't reduce the price of the service, then they'll need to really ramp up the incentives. Like.... eshop discounts, exclusive gold point multiiers on purchases, or just SOMETHING. Not everyone wants the new Animal Crossing expansion, and that'd not a crime.
@moodycat Revelations 1 is good, Revelations 2 is better when played co-op. Both have a RAID mode that has a lot of replay value as well. I'd recommend them, especially on sale.
@Razer the Switch has been out for 4 years, the PS4 has been out for 8. Additionally, the Switch has outsold the PS4 in their home market of Japan by several million units. The Switch is most likely to overtake the PS4 lifetime sales in 2 years, 3 max. If Nintendo launches a significant update to the Switch (you know like Sony did with their PS4 pro?), then they'll overtake the PS4 even sooner.
The answer for these is always "it depends". The card reader and memory bus on the Switch is the max it'll ever get. So the super speed cards won't help. BUT, the cheap and unreliable cards can run much slower than the standard cards. I bought a cheap off-brand card for my 3DS and played Monster Hunter 4 from it, and when it would save my game, It would take 3 to 4 minutes. Replacing it with a more standard card solved it.
I sure hope everyone that is having fan issues on their switch has tried to used a can of compressed air to blow out the dust. That's a basic and cheap fix for most electronics.
My Switch is actually pretty quiet, but then again, maybe my gaming laptop has damaged my hearing without me realizing it.
@BloodNinja doubtful. DDOS attacks are essentially where the site or IP address are flooded with fake requests to the point where they can't accept real requests. I assume it has more to do with the system update yesterday that didn't seem to actually add anything.
@Jayvir What do you feel are the biggest improvements? I played the 3DS games, but not World, so I'm seeing a lot of improvements that are likely present in World already.
@nessisonett Robobot was much better than I expected. The mechs added so much more to the game.
I'd be happy with a reworking of the combat system and I wouldn't need any gimmicks. I think Kirby could use some character action game elements added in to deepen the combat.
I got it for PC to play on my new gaming laptop and it runs beautifully there, but doesn't take advantage of RTX like I hoped. The game requires me to remember many more buttons on my keyboard than Doom 2016, and in a slower game that might be fine, but kept getting me killed in a game like this. I got Doom Eternal on Switch and, aside from one section that was blurrier than the rest of the first level for some reason in handheld mode, this is a really impressive port.
It depends on how software developers support it. If the Switch is any indication, 1 in maybe 10 developers will use it in any meaningful way, and the rest will try and treat it like the old force feedback method, with the controller loudly buzzing when anything happens.

@FargusPelagius I have a feeling EA wouldn't have bothered to advertise it.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda
It's nice, but I'd rather just have more Zelda games available on my Switch, of I had the choice.

@Razer unless you look at the Switch. And handhelds.

@Damo you know, I was not aware there was a distinction.

Re: Nintendo Announces Game Builder Garage, A Quirky Programming Game For Switch
I think I'll stick with UE 4. The flow chart style of coding this uses definitely takes a cue from UE4.
Re: Space Commander: War And Trade Will Boldly Go Onto Switch In May
I'll keep an eye on this one. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw wasn't bad, but it seems low scale.

I hope they fix the bitmap issues in this game too.
Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando Dev Apparently Investigating Switch Frame Rate Issues
@Clyde_Radcliffe because some developers get lazy with ports
Re: The Nintendo eShop Is Currently Down Due To "Emergency Maintenance"
@VenomousAlbino sadly, that sounds like the most plausible reason I've heard so far.
Re: The Nintendo eShop Is Currently Down Due To "Emergency Maintenance"
@Slowdive Maybe that speed increase was the result of something being broken on the back end.

Last time I played, it had issues with poor textures on the Switch. Was that resolved?
Re: This 1999 Interview Suggests Miyamoto Was Thinking About The Wii During The N64 Era
The N64 controller sure didn't help get people into gaming. It wasn't horrible to use, it just looked intimidating.
Re: Review: A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism - Switch Tracks With This Complex Business Sim
@jump I agree. I'd pay about $40 US for it, but I think that's just what a game of this type is worth to me.

Re: Subnautica: Below Zero Dives Onto Switch This May, Alongside The Original Game
I've been waiting for the release date for these. I got the original game for free on PC, and I'd like to buy it on Switch to support the developers.
Re: Timeloop Game Outer Wilds Finally Comes To Switch This Summer
@BongoBongo for me it's this and Splatoon 3
Re: Solve Space Mysteries In Outer Worlds' First Expansion, Now On Switch
@Pirate1 I doubt it, but they haven't even released an exact release date for it yet. Just end of March, I think.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 6th)
Outer Worlds. I'd like to get in a good place before the DLC drops.
Re: Capcom Says Monster Hunter Rise's 'Friend List' Slowdown Will Be Fixed In Time For Launch
@Razer I did, but I assumed most people would compare MH Rise to MH World
Re: Capcom Says Monster Hunter Rise's 'Friend List' Slowdown Will Be Fixed In Time For Launch
@Razer I thought Monster Hunter 4 was the strongest MH game until Monster Hunter World came out. I didn't care much for MHGU
Re: Capcom Says Monster Hunter Rise's 'Friend List' Slowdown Will Be Fixed In Time For Launch
@Razer have you played the previous games in the series? I thought this game compared quoted favorably to previous Monster Hunter games.

Re: Doom Eternal Gets Even More Eternal With Massive 2021 Updates
Gotta say, Doom Eternal was one Hell of a port job. I already had it on PC, but u got it for Switch so I can have it portable and it really shines.
Re: Video: 16 Brutal Minutes Of DOOM Eternal Switch Gameplay
@TheFullAndy I prefer Doom 2016 as well in nearly every way, but I find Doom Eternal still has plenty to enjoy.

Re: Review: Empire of Sin - A Criminal Waste Of A Superb Premise
@rockodoodle Romero said he planned to support it to fix up the issues on PC, so I hope they will do the same for consoles.
The bugs and balancing issues were present on the PC version, so it would make sense for this to be the case.
Re: Feature: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Developer On "Restoring And Finishing An Old Painting"

@sanderev Microsoft now owns Bethesda, which owns ID software, so technically Microsoft now has something to do with it.
