Re: Review: Virtual Boy For Switch 1 & 2 - Is It Really Worth Revisting Nintendo's Greatest Folly?

I've seen videos of a YouTuber go through every game that was released for the Virtual Boy, and Innsmouth No Yakata was a bit of a surprise, and I'm glad it's included in this list.

To quote the YouTuber in question "There's no wonder the Virtual Boy failed, but it wasn't because all of the games were bad. There was some good games in there, even at such a small library. It's just that there was never going to be a good enough game to justify the hardware."

I'm not interested in paying those prices for the hardware, but I wouldn't turn it down as a gift.

Re: Switch 2 Users Are Reporting Instances Of Their Consoles Overheating

I've had my Switch 2 heat up a few times, but it wasn't when I was playing Cyberpunk, but more like an occasional occurrence after sleep mode. I've had weird issues where the dock wouldn't export video to the TV until I unplugged the docking station for a few minutes, and the Joycons didn't charge whole connected, but luckily everything I've experienced seems to be software related and have been fixed.

Similar words came from the head of Silicon Knights when they were working as a second party developer for Nintendo, making Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. And then when they were released to make what they wanted, what happened? They made Too Human and X-Men Destiny.

Sometimes you need to understand that criticism and direction from outside parties shows that they are interested and that they care.

Re: Video: Nintendo Fixed* The Water Emulation In Ocarina Of Time On Switch

@Snatcher What emulators play all N64 games perfectly? I've been messing with them recently, and most of them don't actually play all games perfectly. Most of the time you can't leave Link's house in Ocarina of Time without immediately running into a graphical glitch.

As for Nintendo's previous virtual console releases, they bundled each rom with a tailored emulator. This meant that they could include a completely different emulator for each game, depending on what works better. A general purpose emulator for N64 games that plays everything perfectly doesn't exist on PC, let alone console.
