@Kienda I've seen online reviews of the original title complaining about the combat and terrible boss fights more than anything. That was coming from someone that would score a game higher for exposed skin. This review seems to gloss over the boss fights for some reason, but the score seems consistent.
No matter how you look at it, something as drastically different from the game as a coding environment shouldn't ever be allowed to slip past Nintendo's approval team. Can it be used to bypass security or cause issues? Nintendo doesn't know since they were not made aware of its existence. A regular easter egg, like even a snake clone would be less likely to cause problems because of the different nature between the game and the programming environment.
@Heavyarms55 loading your save is a full 10 or 11 seconds faster too. When i first tried the VR mode it loaded a lot faster than I expected, but I assumed it was because I was distracted.
I am not a fighting game fan, but I absolutely love how this game plays. The graphics are a bit odd, like the lighting is wonky and whatnot, though. I think it might be because i had to set the brightness in game up to maximum, I'm not sure. It reminds me of when I would try and get new games running on an old laptop and I didn't turn the right settings down.
@BoilerBroJoe wait, moving your head gets the camera to rotate around Link? I couldn't get that to work for me at all. In fact, the UI was impossible to see in its entirety. I was seriously dissappointed.
@nessisonett no, but integer definitions in programming typically require you to define the size of the variable when you start, and they probably decided on a six bit integer with the expectation that it "probably" should be plenty.
@ultraraichu it's because of the way binary works. An integer value of 64 converted to binary is 111111 (assuming that you can count 000000 as a usable value).
I predict April 25th will be a Nintendo Direct. They will shadow drop Joker DLC for Smash and show off Persona 5S for the 3DS. The S will be for the amount of 3Ds there will be.
@Heavyarms55 prerecorded presentations involving collections of trailers and announcements with a connecting segments might be something a company does for an event related to their industry. The biggest characteristic of the Direct presentations are that they are the entire events in and of themselves, and are announced only days before they happen. They have some inspiration from Apple's yearly presentations, but Nintendo's "surprise!" format is pretty different.
My left joycon had the drifting issue and the shell was cracking, so i bought the parts and switched it out. It cost me $15 for shells for both Joycons and the replacement stick, and as long as you pay attention which screws go where, the whole process wasn't too bad. I would recommend checking for anything else you might want to fix and do it all in one go.
I found fixing the d-pad on the pro controller more finicky to be honest.
@holygeez03 $10 is what I would be willing to pay too. $20 seems high for a port of a port.
I may still get it. I prefer Turok 2, but I remember the first game having done something better than the sequel, but I don't remember what it could have been.
It'll be nice if Nintendo pays closer attention to their competitors. Nintendo's online service is lagging because they remained ignorant. Paying attention is not copying. It's being observant.
Im still surprised not more people are making a big deal about Hellblade. When it came out on PS4, it was lauded as a game of incredibly impressive graphical achievement. I really want to see it come out on Switch soon.
Cue visual of a lawyer skulking through some tall grass before another lawyer sneaks up behind them and thrusts a cease and desist letter into his hand and running off.
The reason there is any credence to this rumor is that the Scalebound project started off development on the Wii. It changed quite a bit by the time it was shown off on the Xbox One, but still.

Re: Square Enix Teasing Dragon Quest Surprise In Upcoming Issue Of Weekly Shonen Jump
@duffmmann that or a demo announcement, I would wager.
Re: Project Nimbus: Complete Edition Takes The Mecha Action Fight To Daemon X Machina
@JayJ I didn't think that demo was all that disappointing. I think the controls were sluggish and unresponsive, but that can be fixed with a patch.

@JayJ Spintires is a really cool offroading objective based game. This looks to be more leaning towards racing. Still cool
Re: Random: Warren Spector's Nintendo Switch Has A Battery Problem
Sometimes doing a full shut down and reboot will resolve it if it's a calibration issue.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Update Appears To Have Improved Load Times
@Heavyarms55 theoretically the Switch CPU is being overclocked to speed up the load time, as made possible during the 8.0 update.

Re: Nintendo Download: 18th April (North America)
Katana Zero and Cuphead are attractive, but I'll be busy with Dragon's dogma next week, and the LABO VR and My Life at Portia.
Man, I WISH the Wii U had this "too many games!" problem.
Re: Reminder: You Can Now Play As Joker In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Good luck with that. The server won't let me download the content.

Re: Hands On: There's More To Nintendo's Labo VR Than Meets The Eye
Still feels like a stepping stone product or a proof of concept thing. The price makes it more palatable than the other Labo sets too.
