King's Bounty II isn't far off release, landing on Switch and assorted platforms on 24th August. It's a long awaited successor in a series that is turn-based fantasy RPG royalty, and we're hopeful that the Switch version will be well worth playing.
1C Entertainment has released an extensive gameplay trailer that you can watch above - this footage will likely be from an optimal PC build, of course. It highlights the blend between turn-based battles and third-person exploration, as you explore to pick up quests and then determine your approach prior to jumping into the actual conflict.
It looks pretty interesting to us, and it's nice to get a bit of an extended look - with the assumption of some downgrades for Nintendo's hybrid system.
Let us know what you think - is King's Bounty II on your release radar?

Yes, King's Bounty II is on my release radar.
It is now that I'm aware of it.
This has been on my radar since it appeared in a Direct many moons ago. Since then though these trailers look a bit janky and it seems a bit expensive. Willing to wait for reviews on this one. Hopefully the turn based nature of the game means that not too many downgrades were necessary to get in running on Switch.
@Kiz3000 Mostly I'm waiting for reviews to get a better feel for what to expect from the game as a whole.
This game will be wonderful
Never played the first but this It looks cool. i think they lost me at the turn based combat though I was hoping for a kingdoms of Amalur type of experience with this aesthetic
Should this not be labelled an srpg, instead of a turn based rpg?
Producer - Let's modernize and complicat a game loved universally for it's simplicity and how it mimics and freaking Sega genius title.
Smart person - Didn't updated more complex games already come out, but their was this whole thing about them not being made by the people who made the IP?
P- correct
S - And isn't like ... the big thing that the player based wanted us to go back to the more streamlined original vision?
p - also correct
S - So now that we have the IP back we are going to do the stuff they didn't like ... only more of it?
p - Exactly!
S - I'm going to leave now.
I'm just holding out for hands on impressions of the different console releases. I want it on Switch for portability, but want to know if the game suffers too much for the hardware limitations.
