I finished the demo for NEO: TWENTY, Monster Hunter Stories 2, and Ys IX! I didn't expect the Ys IX demo to be so short but it was still fun nonetheless. Over the weekend I'm gonna try and make some progress in FFX-2. From looks of it, I'm at the end of chapter 3!
@TheFrenchiestFry I know that. But Dante is just one of many action game "poster boys": Ryu from Ninja Gaiden, Adol from Ys, and so many more came before him.
From the way the smash community hypes up Dante, you'd think his series was as big as Street Fighter, but in reality, it's not even half as popular. The fact that I've seen people actually claim Devil May Cry is bigger and "more iconic" than Tekken leads me to believe that some of the people asking for him are definitely bandwagon fans.
I'm not saying Devil May Cry didn't have any influence but it definitely isn't as big as parts of the smash community make it out to be.

The only ones I delete are the ones that I REALLY have no intention of returning to or the ones that I ended up really disliking. If I had to guess, I feel like the game would be ported over in 2022 (assuming they're actually gonna do it). I have this theory that 2022 will be very similar to 2017. BOTW, Splatoon 2, and Mario Rabbids all released in 2017. Now, all of those games are getting new titles in 2022. Since Xenoblade 2 was also a 2017 game....maybe....just maybe lol.
The thing is I'm having trouble lowering my expectations because Nintendo apparently sent some of their ambassadors on YouTube a box that says "break in case of extreme excitement" right before E3 so...
Still been busy with school and work so I couldn't play much again this week. I did make a little progress in Doom Eternal and I also started Castlevania Bloodlines from the Castlevania anniversary collection. Honestly those Castlevania games are perfect to play in short bursts!
Outside of that I've also revisited Bayonetta 2 and did like two levels. I'm thinking I should hold off on progressing and get back to it once Bayonetta 3 is announced.
I'll replay games if I enjoy it enough. I've played through XCDE about 3 times thus far and I want to replay XC2 at some point. (I honestly think XC2 has one of the best Ng+ modes I've ever seen). Otherwise, (if they're short enough/if I have time) I tend to replay games if a new game is coming out for a series that I heavily enjoy. I'm probably gonna go through the No More Heroes games again a little before No More Heroes 3 comes out.

I've also started persona 4 golden which has been pretty fun so far. I remember some of the characters from BlazBlue cross-tag battle and it's really nice seeing them again lol.
On top of that, I got back into Doom Eternal. Right now I'm at the ARC Complex which I think is the sixth stage. I really enjoy playing it in handheld mode but I also worry that my joycons will drift when playing such a fast-paced game.
I've always seen such split comments on if this one or the first one was better. I finished the first one last year and while it was a super charming game, I have to admit it did drag a bit for me. I don't know if I want to get this one but maybe I will if it goes on sale as frequently as the first one.
I only played it last year but I'm really glad I got the chance to play it portable! It's such a fantastic game! I've still gotta finish up the DLC for it!

I've got persona 4 golden in the PC backlog as well. I'm excited to give that game a go and see what the hype surrounding persona is about!

I just made it to the end of the first ascent and I thought I made it to the end of the dungeon lmao turns out I've still got the second and third ascent to go.....I've gotta be honest, I have no clue how people finished this dungeon without auto saves in the original version. I heard the story events at the end of the dungeon are super good but I'm really tempted to quit and just watch the ending on YouTube.
I've also finished my first playthrough of Nier Automata. I didn't realize the game required multiple playthroughs so when I got the first ending I was kinda surprised it ended the way it did lol. I also bought persona 4 so I'll have that to jump into afterwards and I'm really looking forward to it!
At this point, I feel like Mario Kart 8 deluxe has been out for so long it would feel weird for them to add DLC for the first time after 4 years. I mean then again...Mario party did get its online update years later...
Gosh dang it, I hate it when nintendo announces an amazing game on such short notice 😂 I was already planning on getting Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 in June! Not to mention all of the amazing RPGs coming out in July....my wallet is never ready 😂
Man, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is one of the earliest memories of video games that I have lol. They had a PlayStation and N64 at this after-school program I used to be in when I was in Kindergarten. I remember playing it constantly, the thing is I don't remember which one it was in particular lol. Luckily both 1 and 2 are included here, so I can't wait to pick this up!
Maybe I'll remember which one I used to play once I hear the soundtrack lol.
I feel like even if Mother 3 got localized the game would have so much hype to the point where it ends up with unrealistic expectations. I played the fan translation and it was great. I don't usually emulate games at all but the fan translation was so simple to do so. I'd really recommend the fan translation if anyone REALLY wants to play it at this point.
