I think I'm getting pretty close to the end of Final Fantasy IX! This game is so awesome; I actually think this might be my favorite final fantasy so far! If I am close to the end I'm hoping to finish it up this weekend!
I love Nintendo directs so much lol. It feels like Christmas every single time they announce one! It's always nice having stuff like this to look forward to!
I've been playing Metroid Dread just like most people and I'm also continuing Final Fantasy IX. I love both of them a lot so far. However, I have so much school work to do this weekend so I'm a bit sad I probably won't get to play much.
Haha, I always thought this game looked closer Monster Hunter Stories 2 than it did BOTW. Admittedly I don't think this is a bad thing perse because I still loved exploring in MHS2. Regardless if it's open world or not this is still something new for the series and I'm still willing to give it a shot.
I finally finished Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle after dragging my feet with it for sooooo long. I have to admit world 3 just dragged so much for me and I couldn't tell you why lol. Now I've started Final Fantasy IX and Metroid Dread. So far I am loving both of them!
I was so hyped when I saw they were all coming but I didn't even notice they're all cloud-based...man that sucks lol I guess I'll just play them elsewhere
I never once thought sora was going to be added because it just didn't seem possible lmao. This is pretty fitting for the final DLC IMO. I've gotta get around to playing the kingdom hearts games at some point.
I personally want Akria because I really enjoyed Astral Chain. I won't be too mad if Akira doesn't get in though. I really wanted a Xenoblade 2 rep and I already got it so I'm satisfied lol.
Earlier this week I finished Xenoblade Chronicles X and it was awesome! I'm a bit sad the game ended the way it did because now I have so many questions π .
Other than that I'm doing a massive push to finish Mario Rabbids. I've been sitting on that game for so long now so I'm gonna try and finish it once and for all.
Also I pre-ordered Metroid Dread so that is ready to go for next week as well!
It's happening?? Damn I really thought it wasn't! π
I'm sure we'll see more on Advanced Wars 1+2 but I have no clue what else they'd show. I feel like they gave a lot of information for Metroid dread and SMT 5 already...maybe we'll get a demo for some of these? π€
I finished up West of loathing earlier this week and it was a great experience! It's such a hilarious game lol. As of lately I've had this massive craving to play Xenoblade Chronicles X because that's the only Xenoblade I haven't played yet. After watching the trailers over and over, along with the recent Xenoblade 3 rumors I got really impatient and just bought it lol. I wanted to replay Xenoblade 1 and 2 but I figured I'd wait until Xenoblade 3 is actually confirmed.
I started Xenoblade X only a couple days ago and I've gotta say I am completely hooked! I already put 10 hours into the game and I'm currently on chapter 4. Exploring the world in this game is sooooo much fun. I enjoyed exploring a lot in Xenoblade 1 and 2 but this one wins when it comes to exploration. There are times when I want to skip cutscenes just so I could get back to exploring lol. I've never felt that way about any game before because I usually play for the story.
The gameplay is also fantastic as well. I saw this YouTube video a while back that has a build for the party which allows them to do 100,000,000 damage! I've always enjoyed doing such high damage in the Xenoblade games. In Xenoblade DE the most amount of damage I've done in a chain attack was 1.2 million and in Xenoblade 2 I managed to reach 7 million (although I heard without Xenoblade 2s damage cap you can do something insane like 2 billion damage in a chain attack). I'm really looking forward to seeing how I can optimally build my party but as of right now I'm really hooked on finding all the secrets this world has π.
I'm very happy I chose to buy the game instead of waiting for a potential switch port. Now if monolith does end up porting this game I've got no problem double dipping for this one! This game should definitely hold me over until monolith soft announces whatever they've been working on.
Last night I ended up getting Street Fighters 30th Anniversary Collection which I am super excited to give a try! I had 924 gold coins and buying it gave me 75 more so I had exactly enough gold coins to buy quake for free! I initially wasn't gonna buy the anniversary collection just yet because I know it goes on sale all the time. But seeing that it would give me just enough gold coins for quake (which I REALLY wanted to try), and that it was the last hour of the sale...I just couldn't resist π
Last week I started NEO: The World Ends With You and I'm currently on the final day of week 3 which I'm assuming is close to the end of the game. I've gotta say I REALLY enjoy this game. It's been a long time since I was this hooked on a game before. At the end of week 1 when "Neku" comes in the save the day I was SO hyped to see him return. However I had a feeling that it wasn't actually Neku because I was like "wasn't his hair orange?" But, I just assumed he changed his hair color or something. When it was revealed in week 2 that "Neku" was actually my man BEAT I freaking exploded πππ. I considered that "Neku" was Rindos friend swallow along with a few other guesses but I NEVER considered beat. God I haven't had this much fun guessing, making theories and being blown away since Xenoblade 1! (Also the optimism that beat has throughout the game and his misinterpretation of many things makes him my favorite character lol.) This moment made me incredibly happy that I chose to play the original game before playing the sequel.
I've also gotta say Motoi really fooled me with his nice guy act. I didn't even have any suspicions about him and I really thought he was genuinely helping us. Given the situation he was in, I did kind of understand his way of thinking but man, I felt bad for rindo.
There's so many more things that I want to talk about but I'll just sum it up and say this just might edge out Monster Hunter Stories 2 as my favorite game released this year! Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go finish up week 3!
I don't think I've ever listened to a song for 10 hours straight but I usually listen to the Eryth Sea daytime theme from Xenoblade 1 when I study and that usually goes on for a few hours.
I finished The World Ends With You on my DS earlier this week and I loved it! I have no clue why but the soundtrack sounds so nostalgic despite the fact that I haven't heard any of the songs before. Truthfully, I probably would have continued to do the post game of the original, but I REALLY wanted to dive straight into the sequel. That being said, I bought Neo: The World Ends With You yesterday and so far it's an absolute blast! I've got 1 week before school starts back again, so I'm gonna try and make as much progress as possible.
I also finished Mario Golf: Super Rush earlier this week as well. I had a great time with the golf adventure mode. Monster Hunter Stories 2 also keeps pulling me back in with it's post game content. It's funny with this game I only intend on playing for a few minutes and doing a couple side quests but I always end up playing for a couple hours because I'm always finding stuff to do!
So I played hades some more and idk what happened but I just really started struggling to enjoy it. I'm a little disappointed because it clearly is a good game but it just isn't as addicting to me as it is for others. Last night I was trying to push myself to do more runs and after I got halfway into one run I got tired lol. I'm assuming I just got burnt out so I'll return to it later.
I started The World Ends With You on my DS earlier this week. I'm only on day 5 but I am REALLY enjoying this one! The combat is pretty complex but I like it so far! I also started West of Loathing which is pretty hilarious (or maybe I just have a dumb sense of humor). I'm gonna be playing more Mario Golf: Super Rush this weekend as well! Last weekend my brother managed to get a hole in one and we popped off so hard π
I have a hard time remembering which console I played on first. I think my first exposure was at this after-school program when I was in kindergarten. They had an N64 there and I used to watch some of the kids try and make it to the end of StarFox 64, but I never played it myself until years later. I also have a bit more vivid memories of playing smash bros melee on my cousin's Gamecube as well. The first console that I actually owned myself was the Nintendo Wii!
Y'know while I'm definitely excited for a new Xenoblade game I actually didn't really want it to be a direct sequel. The only Xenoblade game that really needs a direct sequel would be Xenoblade Chronicles X.
That being said I'm really doubting this rumor because it says it's the last Xenoblade game. Are they really just gonna go straight to Xenoblade 3 and not do anything with Xenoblade X?
So last week I finished up monster hunter stories 2 and it was awesome! I'm excited to dive a bit into the post game but I think I'll take a break from it for now.
This weekend I'm going to try and dive more into Hades. I also may try and finish up Mario Golf: Super Rush! Truth be told I REALLY want to buy Ys IX and NEO: TWEWY but I've been trying to hold off until I clear the backlog a bit more.
Depends on demand? They brought over the mana series, the final fantasy legend collection, and the saga games but FF 1-6 depends on demand? I thought it was a no brainer lol
I was really interested in this game and I really enjoyed the demo. Honestly though, that type of save structure really gets on my nerves. I remember one time in FF X I was pretty low on health but I saw a save point nearby so I didn't bother to heal my party...lol. Earlier this week I got both Ring Fit Adventure and Monster Hunter Stories 2! On top of those I've also started Hades and I'm continuing to play Mario Golf: Super Rush on the side as well.
I used to have a 128 GB sd card and would just archive the games I didn't intend on playing again after beating them but man...it got to a point where I just struggled so much on deciding what to archive lol. I upgraded to a 400 GB card and so far I haven't had trouble with archiving things but man, if I do run into that again I'm just gonna start buying more physical copies
