AKIBA’S TRIP: Hellbound & Debriefed - PS4 System, Nintendo Switch, PC
Return to a lovingly recreated Akihabara circa 2011 to explore the bustling streets and back alleys of this otaku paradise. But beware—a seedy underworld lurks in the shadows of Japan’s famous electric town! After finding his missing friend unconscious and bleeding in an alley, young otaku Nanashi is attacked by a sinister figure straight out of a horror manga. As he lays dying, a mysterious young lady offers him some of her blood, both saving his life and changing it forever. Expose your opponents to sunlight in the first entry in the AKIBA’S TRIP series, arriving in the West for the very first time!Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle - Nintendo Switch
In Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, players take the role of a transfer student to Tensei Academy, where they are quickly introduced to the Shadowverse card game by their classmate, Hiro Ryugasaki. The new friends team up with Shadowverse club president (and only member) Rei on a quest to master the popular card battle game and restore the club to its former glory by winning the national championship. Throughout their adventures, players will be able to explore unique locations around the school and surrounding town, where events and encounters await in the least expected places. Team up with new friends, battle to become the national champions, and save the Shadowverse Club for future generations!Rune Factory 5 - Nintendo Switch
Set off on a grand adventure in a fantasy world with the latest entry in the Rune Factory simulation RPG series. After losing their memory, the hero lands in a small town blessed by nature. There, they are recruited into a band of peacekeeping rangers, and their new life begins. In addition to their normal duties, the hero can farm the land, cast a line into the nearby river, and so much more! Team up with townsfolk to battle monsters and unleash powerful combination attacks—just one of the features new to the series. The stage is set, and the curtain rises on an exciting new adventure in Rune Factory 5!

really looking forward to learning more about rune factory 5 so i'll 100% have a gander at this
XSEED published a lot of the early trails games, right? Maybe they'll finally announce those coming to switch
Does Xseed have rights to Legend of Heroes: Trials of Cold Steel 1&2??
All I want is a western release date for Rune Factory 5!
Ah, yes, and also the western date for Trials of Cold Steel 1&2. I'd love to have the whole saga on the Switch.
And any of the old Ys games would be amazing too, if they still have the rights.
All I really need is Rune Factory, but I'm vaguely interested in the other titles.
Has anybody played Akiba's Trip on other platforms? Is there anything to it aside from "rip the clothes off undead that happen to look like nubile teenagers"? I'm okay with fanservice in an actual good game, but I have no need for games where the fanservice IS the game.
Please let it be Trails of Cold Steel 1&2, please let it be Trails of Cold Steel 1&2, please let it be Trails of Cold Steel 1&2...
@JasmineDragon
I have played Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed on the vita, and I can confirm it is not just "fanservice, the game."
It's been a long time since I played it though, but the gameplay is good, and for the story their is a reason why you have to rip the clothes off the undead to defeat them.
@IceEarthGuard That's encouraging - thanks for the response!
Rubs hands together
I’m ready!
Rune Factory 5 comes out next year?? Noooo! I was looking forward to it this year. It looks so fun from what I saw thanks to the Japanese trailers. Either way I can’t wait to play it!
HELLO XSEED please give me all the things
Didn't they do The Last Story? I would love to get a Switch remaster. I don't think it will happen as it wasn't the most popular if the Project Rainfall games... I've just been longing to replay that, and sold my copy years ago when I needed money and to downsize
I would definitely welcome earlier iterations of the Ys series. Same with the first two Trails of Cold Steel entries; the fact that the series is so reliant on continuing story arcs has kept me from grabbing III and IV.
RF5 release date! Release daaaate!
@Jmjfrank I liked The Last Story more than Xenoblade Chronicles. A Switch remaster would be welcome.
I would also request Little King's Story for Switch.
@Gamer_Griff That would be too good to be true!
More YS games on switch, please!!!
Rune Factory 5 oh yeah!
Would also love to see Ya: Memories of Celceta on switch
Pandora’s Tower HD, bayBEE!
Colour me curious even besides the expected RF5 western release date. I owe XSEED a lot of cool stuff on Switch and beyond.
@Desa Something familiar happened with persona 5 for the nintendo switch that ended up coming out a year after its release from Japan to the United States so it wouldn't be a surprise to me since it looks like it takes a lot of time to translate but despite that since it's been waiting since the first announcement of the game came out we just have to wait a little more enjoy the game
@JasmineDragon Played the original localization on Vita and PS4. Highly enjoyable for the craziness to me. Currently playing the new one (imported from Japan, has english on it already) and I’m liking it. First one (Undead and Undressed) was better in my opinion
Really hoping they fix the framerate issues for RF5 before they localize it. Videos I've seen of japanese gameplay have the game chugging whenever you transition from field to town or get into larger scale combat.
Rune Factory 5 pushed back to 2022 ☹️
@Jmjfrank They localized Last Story. It is a Nintendo IP developed by Mistwalker, though.
XSeed is a subsidiary of Marvelous so I think most of what they localize are Marvelous games.
Oh please oh please oh please I hope they bring over the rest of the trails of Cold Steel series and Ys titles.
@Tyranexx if you are a physical cart Collector you should probably grab Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 pretty soon and not wait that much longer because they'll be out of print
@eatdogs A fair point, considering these games don't typically have long print runs. That was actually my motivation to pre-order Ys IX on the Switch. I'll consider grabbing them both soon. Thanks!
Please let it be Ys, Trails in the Sky, and Trails of Cold Steel (I & II)!
Rune Factory 5 and Joe Zieja now I have to tune in!
Edit: When I read the fine print - "Welp another year of waiting"
