Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 15th)

I started playing Indivisible last week. It isn't a bad game at all but it doesn't seem to hold my attention like I thought it would. I love the art style and combat but whenever I play for just 30 minutes it feels like I've been playing for hours. So I decided to take a break from it and start Shin Megami Tensei V. It's only been 6 days since I started and I already have 15 hours in the game! Man if I played this game last year when it released this probably would've been my game of the year. I didn't expect myself to be so hooked on the gameplay but here I am πŸ˜‚.

Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?

Vortexeo

I always wrote off Splatoon because just from looking at it I didn't think I would like it. Once I actually played it I was hooked! I'm kinda sad I didn't jump into the game when the Splatfests were going on. Definitely going to be looking forward to this game!

I had mentioned this on another article somewhere but earlier this week I finally finished Persona 4 Golden and man I have so much to say about it but I'll try to keep my thoughts brief πŸ˜‚

I think my favorite character is actually Kanji. It's funny when I first met him I thought he was going to be annoying but man I freaking love him! A close second is definitely Marie though. Simply because I always find it funny when she makes Rise jealous πŸ˜‚. Truthfully I didn't expect her background to be related to ameno-sagiri. However, I will say I didn't really understand why she "dropped" so many poems in the velvet room. I get the feeling I probably missed something.

My least favorite character is probably Teddie. I liked him at first but admittedly the amount of times he flirted with the girls got a little annoying πŸ˜…

So I actually romanced multiple people because I heard nothing really happens in the story if you do. Well...Valentine's day came around and gosh, I know it's just a game but I felt AWFUL πŸ˜…. As stupid as it sounds I actually reloaded the save so I could spend the day with each of them individually...yeah I know it's dumb, but I felt terrible πŸ˜‚

The overall plot of the game was fantastic! Persona games were always a bit intimidating to me because of how long they are (even compared to other RPGs) but I'm surprised that the plot was really able to keep me on my toes the entire time!

There was so many things that I didn't expect. I really couldn't tell you how much my heart broke when Nanako "died". Also last week I found out Adachi was the true killer and I guess I badmouthed him a little too much so my comment got removed πŸ˜…. In that comment I mentioned how unsettling Adachi's evil face looked after seeing it for the first time. However, there's this ending called the accomplice ending and turns out Adachi has this even CREEPIER face that's EXCLUSIVE to the accomplice ending. Super unsettling stuff πŸ˜….

One thing that I didn't quite understand: Do we ever find out who actually killed Dojima's wife? I know Dojima talks about how she died but it doesn't seem like we ever found out who did it. I was expecting it to be Adachi after finding out what he was really like.

Anyway I got the golden ending for my first playthrough and it was totally worth it. It hurt saying goodbye to everyone and boarding the train but I was happy that the golden ending allowed us to return! I loved seeing how much everyone changed (Yukiko had the best new look imo 😜). Even Namatame was running for Mayor! It almost felt like another universe 🀣. Goodness man I felt so empty after finishing this game lol. I can safely say I understand the hype behind this series now.

TL;DR: Persona 4 Golden is easily one of my favorite RPGs now! I might do a ng+ playthrough sometime in the future. It was a beautiful game and I'm looking forward to playing more persona games in the future

Re: A New Smash Bros. Would Need A Smaller Roster, Admits Sakurai

Vortexeo

Unpopular opinion but I really wouldn't mind if they cut down the size of the roster. To me personally a big roster doesn't equal a good game.

They could remove Dr. Mario, Pichu, 2 links, all echo fighters (except for maybe ken) and 2 fire emblem characters that aren't echoes (maybe Ike and roy). The roster would shrink by 12 from doing this and if I'm being honest I wouldn't miss any of those characters

I decided to take a little break from doing my 100% completion playthrough for Dragon Quest XI and I decided to hop back into Persona 4 Golden. I've just gotta say Persona 4 is absolutely amazing! Initially, I was going to pick up Shin Megami Tensei V on day one but I decided to hold off until I finish Persona 4.

So I finished Final Fantasy IX and that is now my favorite one atm! It was a wonderful journey! One of my favorite parts was when Eiko wrote that anonymous love letter to Zidane but it ended up getting lost and whoever found it believed it was for them πŸ˜‚. I actually laughed out loud when Steiner thought it was from Beatrix and vice versa lmao. I mean hey, I guess it did end up working out for them.
Honestly it just had a lot funny moments like this but it also managed to make me really sad at times too. Vivi is my favorite character from the game so you could imagine how I felt when I found out he died at the end .

So now the only FF game I have left to play on switch is FF8. I've heard a lot of interesting things about that one so I can't wait to see for myself πŸ˜….

For now though, I've decided to jump back in to Dragon Quest XI and try to complete it to 100% completion. I've currently got 49 side quests finished so I'm a little more than halfway done with those. I've also started Fast RMX which is a pretty fun game from what I've played so far!

Re: PokΓ©mon Legends: Arceus Won't Actually Be An Open-World Game

Vortexeo

Haha, I always thought this game looked closer Monster Hunter Stories 2 than it did BOTW. Admittedly I don't think this is a bad thing perse because I still loved exploring in MHS2. Regardless if it's open world or not this is still something new for the series and I'm still willing to give it a shot.

Earlier this week I finished Xenoblade Chronicles X and it was awesome! I'm a bit sad the game ended the way it did because now I have so many questions πŸ˜… .

Other than that I'm doing a massive push to finish Mario Rabbids. I've been sitting on that game for so long now so I'm gonna try and finish it once and for all.

Also I pre-ordered Metroid Dread so that is ready to go for next week as well!
