Re: Opinion: Silksong's Big 'Anticlimactic' Premiere Was Absolutely Perfect

Question :
For each Nintendo Direct (and similar) where the fans were looking forward to see an update, Team Cherry could have posted a simple "Not yet" and avoided the year on year disappointment.
Yet, they went ahead and chose to feed the hype machine to the cost of disappointing their fans, and each time stealing a bit of the spotlight of other games shown.

Was that really ok?

I would hate to be the art director on that game. I understand that there were budget limitations, but that's not an excuse for the lack of creativity.
Just the color palette is horribly bland.
The fact that people are rejecting it will hopefully teach everyone a lesson not to underestimate a good art direction.

Yoshi seems to be getting a lot of attention these days!
In addition to this release, Yoshi features very prominently in MKW's box art, is one of the characters with the most costumes in the game and is the one dealing out the meal powe ups.
Considering the next SMB movie will feature more Yoshi as per the post credit scene, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo announced a new Yoshi game pretty soon.

@Grumblevolcano Indeed! There are still some jewels that deserve remasters like Kid Icarus Uprising, F-Zero GX and Zelda TP / WW, however the Switch 2 launch line up isn't a place for these.
Now the real question is: should we put on our Silksong clown makeup or not?
PS: Also something something Chrono Trigger

Re: Mailbox: Switch 2 Pre-Order Preoccupation, Iterative Crimes - Nintendo Life Letters

Regarding X, it's actually Nintendo themselves that emboldened me to write this letter!

Their decision to boycott Fuji TV after the scandal is very honourable and, as a community, we should make stand too when things go too far. Nintendo has by the way also dropped support for X from the Switch.

Nintendo's values have always been about embracing community and respect for each other. Their games often portray characters fighting for a good cause against the odds.

Stopping support for X means not supporting Musk and his ideology, which have gone beyond a political stance, and now echo the darkest parts of our history. It's not about not liking the person, or not supporting billionaires. It's about asking ourselves, how far is too far?
