Re: Mailbox: Switch 2 Pre-Order Preoccupation, Iterative Crimes - Nintendo Life Letters

Regarding X, it's actually Nintendo themselves that emboldened me to write this letter!

Their decision to boycott Fuji TV after the scandal is very honourable and, as a community, we should make stand too when things go too far. Nintendo has by the way also dropped support for X from the Switch.

Nintendo's values have always been about embracing community and respect for each other. Their games often portray characters fighting for a good cause against the odds.

Stopping support for X means not supporting Musk and his ideology, which have gone beyond a political stance, and now echo the darkest parts of our history. It's not about not liking the person, or not supporting billionaires. It's about asking ourselves, how far is too far?

Re: "Stop Immediately!" - Miyamoto On Hiroshi Yamauchi's Likely Reaction To Nintendo Museum

Yamauchi was a genius, in the original sense of the term.
Despite being orphaned at 5 and having to take over his grandfather's company at 21, he turned the card making business into one of best companies in the world. He recognized the genius of Gunpei Yoko and his makeshift Ultrahand just by walking through the factory, which launched the business into games.
He realised he needed to expand into US territory if he wanted to prosper.
He had an excellent intuition for recognising potential in people and ideas.
And all of that without ever having played a single videogame.
