@Gibb Fair enough, didn't want to sound like a hater, I'm a huge Pokemon fan, that's why I'm disappointed. But for real, don't expect it. First, there's no way they'd add over 600 hundred Pokemon in tiny Kanto alone, there's a certain balance to how many Pokemon appear per route. And it's even less likely that they'd add the actual regions. If the let's go games are successful, and let's be honest, they'll be, Junichi Masuda said in some interviews it could become it's own series, parallel to the more traditional games. Bank support will likely be just to bring Pokemon from let's go to the later games. That's my two cents on it. It's still going to be a major release.

@Gibb I wouldn't expect gen 2-7. I wouldn't expect a Pokémon Direct either. This games is probably gonna be as barebones as it looks. It does look pretty though.

So, it looks like there are no held items in this game. In the Japanese trailer, you can choose between Mega Charizard X and Y in the battle screen. This or they fused both Charizardites into one. Either way it's bad, but the former definitely is a big no.

Returning? Never left! This should've been from day one!! It would've made a great announcement together with the Inklings. But I guess at the time the Master Cycle Zero wasn't announced yet, right? Anyways, should've been announced together with the Champion's Ballad then xD Better late than never!

@HobbitGamer Ikr?! At least in MK8D you unlock the Kart/bike parts, and there's an incentive to get Gold Trophies on 150cc and even 200cc. Even Time Trials unlocks something. Mario Tennis Aces is very very lacking in comparison. I've done the 3 cups with all the characters just because, and got nothing but a little crown next to their name. Not even an alternate title screen. Absolutely nothing. If that's not lazy, I don't know what it is. Now if you excuse me, I'mma wait till next month so I can play an online match and unlock Blooper with no effort at all. (JK, I actually play online a lot)

My biggest problem with the game is the lack of unlockables. The courts in adventure mode are definitely not enough. Why are all the characters unlocked from the start? There's absolutely no reward for completing the COM Tournaments, which are very laking compared to previous entries, btw. Star Cup is too easy. They even have better AI programmed into the game, I don't understand why there aren't more cups. And unlocking characters over time just adds to that frustration. But I do like the game, I just wish it was on par with other Nintendo games.

I have this on PS4, it's a really well put together game. The characters are all pretty cool.

Guys, maybe by saying the games won't use the service, it means a subscription won't be required to play online? I dunno, it's all kinda confusing

So far I hate this casual approach. As long as next year's game comes out ok, I don't mind this. But if they carry the dumbed down mechanics forward, it's going to be pretty bad. Remember that there's a competitive scene. EVs and IVs can't go away. The Battle system can't change, otherwise competitive players will be completely alienated.

I never really felt the need to increase the battery of my Switch. My use of it balances docked and portable mode, so I don't find myself stopping playing to charge neither the switch or the joy cons. Booyah!

I've been a backer since NL first reported on it. The community in the Discord server is very solid, the devs talk often, and there's already a backer demo. Do check out the Kickstarter updates, there's a lot of interesting ideas there. And as some have already pointed out, it's not just Pokémon inspired, the devs are passionate about other monster games as well.
