@Heavyarms55 have you seen the reports os people saying it'd take them YEARS to transfer all of their shinies? This system is not good at all. A single shiny legendary consumes all of your points.

That's a solid list of songs. I didn't like the demo a lot, and the price is very steep, but I'll keep it on the radar, maybe on a sale.

@Fearful-Octopus word on the streets is that they probably won't launch more paid DLC to this game. The fact that this physical version exists is a good indicator. All points to Sword/Shield being done, they'll probably announce and release a new game next year.

You'd think at this point I'd stop being surprised by Animal Crossing sales, yet here we are. Also, Pokémon SwSh is on track to overtake Gen 2's sales. Inb4 the haters come and say how Masuda ruined their lives

It's gotta be Pokémon for me. Online battling is often thrilling, but also due to the turn based nature of the game, laid back enough for me. I'll always come back to it, no matter how long or how troubled the new titles might be. Also, on a completely different turn, Rocket League. I'm very very casual with it and I have no intention of getting better, it's really just a very chill game to play listening to music for me.

I stopped playing about a day after release. This isn't the Mario Kart experience I love. And the spending mechanics put me off a lot.

It's funny how everyone hated this game back when it was released and now it's considered one of the best. The same thing is happening with Alola right now, and will happen with SwSh in due time.

The question is, are they exclusive? I didn't see anyone mention it during the Direct, neither on the tweets. You know how this goes, when something is exclusive they make sure you know it in big capital letters.

I started following Nintendo closely around the end of the Wii era, so I can't speak for any year before. It's hard to tell, and it's definitely harder if you count Nintendo as a whole. 2016 was a pretty bad year for the Wii U, but the 3DS somewhat made up for it. I don't think 2020 is Nintendo's worst year. We've already had heavy hitters released. And to be quite honest, the pandemic will always be the main reason for the somewhat lacking year, so it's hard to compare with the rest.

Bye bye hacked raids, you won't be missed! Also, the Y comm is much better now. I've been getting into raids way more consistently now, without the need to manually refresh as often. Also, I dunno if it's the change from 4 digits to 8 digits, but now I'm being paired to my friends instantly. Anyone that tried to start a Multi Battle with 3 other friends knows the struggle, it's gone.

I'm still playing it, but in much smaller sessions. I just can't bring myself to make big terraforming changes anymore, even if my island is not yet "complete"

A shame it's not coming to Switch. I know most people associate THPS with the PS1, but I played it to death on the N64.

Yeah, the beta connection was a mess. It will be hard for me to give this game attention in June with The Last of Us coming out.

@Tharsman because no game ever topped gen 1 sales. Over 30M. Gen 2 was the closest with around 23M. The rest never surpassed 18M, if I'm not mistaken

@clvr You have a point, but again, being a Nintendo site doesn't have to mean they're experts on absolutely all Nintendo games. But sure, if there's someone that IS, by all means have at them. I don't think a lot of people in the Pokémon community realise how niche hardcore Pokémon players are. Sure we're not Xenoblade fans obscure, but we're just a slice of a much much bigger audience. And I don't know about Shiryu, but I'm sure Joe has plenty of work already on his on site lol Edit: typo

@bendicott they didn't ban Gmax because of balance. They banned then because they're extremely rare. Right now the ones that had events with frequent raids are allowed. And next promoted Gmax will be allowed next season and so on. While I see your criticism, that part was not true.

@Kalmaro @Gauchorino I still think you're being too harsh. I swear I'm not pointlessly defending NL like some Pokémon fans do out there. They started covering Witcher simply because it's now available at Nintendo. Witcher IS one of the biggest games of the last 5 years, of course they'll capitalize on that, like most gaming sites are doing right now, even if it's a Netflix series. I was glad NL started covering Overwatch and Rocket League simply because they're now available for the Switch. Both were absolutely irrelevant to Nintendo before, but now they aren't. I don't like Fortnite, but of course they're gonna cover most Fortnite news, even of not related to the game itself. Yeah, this particular article lacked A LOT. And Pokémon coverage in general is very superficial, aside from Joe Merrick's posts (of course). But overall, Nintendo Life is honestly the best Nintendo news site there is. I'll take my Pokémon news and discussions from other places. Take a look at their "Best Pokemon Games" article and you'll know they don't know much. I'm sure there's some Fire Emblem fan angry about some specific article just like us.

@KrspaceT yes!!! People are forgetting that this time of the year in Gen 6 and 7, there was no Bank support to bringing anything from previous games. And even after bank, Online Competitions and the VGC made rulesets that banned Pokemon frequently. People that say dexit is a good thing probably wouldnt even be playing the game by the time Pokémon Home launches.
