Re: Guide: Pokémon Switch: Rumours, Release Date News And Everything Else We Know So Far

You can do better than this, guys. The official Nintendo Magazine in question has reported on fake news multiple times, including about Pokémon. A whole speculation about Kanto based on a rough poorly made "screenshot" is really scraping the barrel. Eurogamer's rumours had credibility, nothing else. All that we really know is that it's coming. Maybe check with your kind of partner Serebii before posting such a rumour filled article?
Edit: the title does say "Rumours", so my bad on that. But I stand by my point that the only rumours that had foundation were Eurogamer's.

I appreciate the attempt to make us try new weapons and specials. Every mode encourages variety. I fell in love with a lot of weapons I'd never try if I hadn't played with them in Salmon Run. And by completing the Story Mode with the one I had more difficulty (Charger), I not only got a cool skin for the standard charger but felt a lot more safe with it in multiplayer. That's good game design

Re: Be Afraid, Will.i.am Wants To Make "The Next Pokémon GO"

Actually, there's a kind of Pokémon GO clone that's been going around these days. It's called Maguss, by the name you can tell it's Harry Potter-ish. It's still on beta and has a lot of issues, but yeah, it exists. And of course it's not like Ingress was not a thing before.

Hey, @Dom, can you tell what the Bayonetta Smash Amiibo does? I know the other amiibo unlock outfits for her, but I just couldn't find anywhere saying what Cereza herself unlocks.

Re: Soapbox: What The Upcoming Pokémon Switch RPG Can Learn From Recent Pokémon Games

Tulio517

I feel like you're just picking little aspects of new stuff you don't like, like most, dare I say, genwunners. At least it's a very polite article xD I'll strongly disagree on the topic of cutscenes and story focus. A game can have a great sense of exploration and adventure WITH a heavy and complex plot. Yeah, the cutscenes can get better and less interruptive, that's true. It's really just a balance thing. RPGs are usually plot and cutscene heavy, and honestly I'd rather they continue to evolve - no pun intended - this aspect in Pokémon.
As for the battle system. It has to fundamentally remain the same to not put off veteran and competitive players, BUT, the introduction of real time elements, like being able to move in battle, should spark new life into the series, specially since it's now HD, BUT... It should be optional. That way everybody's happy. And Ultra Beasts are just Pokemon, man, chill out.

Re: Review: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (3DS)

Tulio517

Guys, I see some of you have a lot of questions. The reviewer might be under an embargo and can't answer them. Here's some things: it still runs poorly on old 3DS. Whenever there's a double battle and/or weather effects it lags. The games are still easy, but there are some tough moments in totem battles. But if you only level your starter you'll probably outlevel everything. Remember to try and catch some Pokémon, will ya? The story in the early hours is very similar, but like the reviewer said, the Ultra Recon Squad is the key to the changes. It really goes a different way closer to the climax. But I'm a huge pokemon fan, I think the changes don't justify the game for casual pokemon players. If you're in it just for the campaign, maybe skip this one. Now, if you are interested in Battles, there's new stuff. Move Tutors (new moves for the Pokemon), actual new Pokémon, New Z moves. It's a vastly superior version to Sun and Moon, truly the 3DS's swan song. If you guys have any questions I'll be happy to answer, just don't ask for spoilers.

Edit: and yes, they are the last pokemon games for 3DS, it's been talked about in interviews

Having played it myself (early copy, not piracy) the Review is on point. Amazing game, but this is very true

"Pokémon Sun and Moon are still so fresh in our minds and we can’t help but feel that the Ultra versions would have felt more special – and therefore easier to justify purchasing – if a little more time has passed. "

Nonetheless it's a must have for Pokémon fans, so much fan service.

@Damo About those visuals, I'm a bit disappointed resolution is not higher. The game looked rough on Wii U, is this improvement enough? I'm not a graphic junkie or anything, but it was very noticeable on Wii U. Thanks
