Played it earlier in the year and had a blast! Can't recommend it enough.

Tried it myself and I'm surprised it's really quick and easy to pull off. Cloned a bunch of the Mew, Jirachi and Manaphy to give some friends.

I'm not surprised someone who thinks HGSS is the best game in the series gave this a 6/10

The update is adorable, the DLC is beyond lovely. All of it complements the game quite well. I'm having a great time with ACNH again

@HenHiro Natures existence isn't a hindrance of any kind to the main campaigns, neither are status moves. I really don't get your point. These examples are completely inconsequential to the story. As for Dexit, it's a more solid argument, but yet again doesn't really make sense in the grand scheme of things. Anyone's playthrough of a game campaign is limited to the regional dex, so Dexit is also of no effect on the story. Of course if I wanted to start my SwSh save file with a Chimchar just for the sake of it, I'd be completely disappointed, but most players will just play the game like normal, catching pokemon as they go. Listen, I'd be down for a game fully dedicated to competitive play, like somewhat of a merge of Showdown and Stadium-like games. It's a good idea, but what you're saying doesn't really justify it in any way.

@BLD I believe you're mistaking Aaron Zheng for Sejun Park, the guy who won with Pachirisu. Unless Zheng also did and I'm not aware, lol. But to add to your point, WolfeyVGC, another prominent competitive player and a friend of Zheng's, made a video titled "The Biggest Lie You Believe About Pokémon", in which he discusses this idea of the meta being stale and everyone using the same teams. Tldw: it's actually pretty varied. Even a single Pokémon has very different uses that can change the course of a match. Fully recommend the video to anyone interested.
@HenHiro When have they ever made compromises to the campaigns because of competitive play? Pokémon campaigns are as vanilla as you can get, there's zero influence of competitive play.

@roy130390 I love using slightly left field Pokémon on my teams on ranked. Of course it has to be still somewhat good, lol.
On topic: SwSh's competitive scene has been really fun to be a part of. Like Zheng was saying, there's always new blood when a new gen launches. And a key aspect of any competitive game is having an audience, a "streamability" factor. And the jump to the Switch made it SO MUCH better. The days of watching tournaments of the ridiculous 3DS resolutions are over.

Blissey has been pretty weak in my experience. Hopefully this buff will push her to the next level. And that's a cute skin! There's also a little event giving adorable slowpoke ears for the trainers.

I've played a good few hours and it's really fun! At first the dialogue really carries the game, but after you level up a little and gain more abilities with the weapons, combat is really fun!

@KingMike the move relearner doesn't teach overpowered moves to your Pokémon. It just lets you access previously learned moves.

@Aerona If anything, they'll probably keep the original Dex intact for the main game and expand with other gens mons in the post game, like they did with ORAS. They always do that, for better or worse. In FRLG you couldn't even evolve your Golbat before post game.

I can't remember a time we've spent so long without a trailer for an upcoming Pokémon game since its announced. Perhaps it was actually around Gen 4, which is kind of ironic

@Onkel_Laser You see, these two distributions are related to the VGC. They were promoted during championship streams, to championship viewers. There are a bunch of other types of events, like the monthly shiny raid events. It's silly to complain about the nature of a distribution like this.

I like these event Pokemon distributions they've been doing. This is not just "a Torkoal". It's a fully trained Torkoal, exactly as the one last year's champion in Japan used. It's a piece of championship history and I think that's awesome

It was actually quite good! There were some dry moments, but the highs were really on point! I'm so happy Wario Ware is back!

At this point, I just want SOMETHING. I'd take DLC, but it looks like Nintendo has ZERO interest in making more DLC for the game
