I just wanted Local Turf War without the need to have 8 players. It's hard enough for me to find 3 or 4 friends with a Switch. 8 is madness. We're stuck with Salmon Run

@AlexOlney About offline local play. Just to clarify: no bots on turf war, right? So we're stuck with Salmon Run unless EIGHT switches are gathered? I just wish I could play with my brother without a whole party going.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE is right. It would just not look good in comparison. Third party support for the Switch has to be different than this. Something more like Rabbids Kingdom Battle and less Dragon Quest

So, Alex, how about length? "It’s still probably not worth the full retail price by itself if you plan to never go online" makes me worried that the biggest problem with the campaign hasn't been addressed. I loved it and I'm glad it's been improved. I just hoped it lasted longer. And no, replayability isn't enough.

@Jayronauron Sure, that's what I meant. I didn't mean local matches on a single system. Have they actually confirmed it? I'd love to be able to play turf wars with a couple of friends without the need to go online or find another bunch of people to fill in. Thanks for the reply.

@ThomasBW84 soo... I don't really know where to put this question, or if it's been confirmed or denied before. I'll just leave this here: Splatoon 2 is gonna have local matches, right? But it's not really that easy to gather 8 people. My question is: will local Turf Wars have an option to add bots? Sorry if I'm way off topic.

Minor annoyances and the hideous way of the Hado aside, it's​ an awesome game to have on the Switch. Price is really the issue here

Last year's E3 was lackluster because development of basically everything was supposed to have moved on to Switch. While I do appreciate the games that have come out/been announced so far, if there's not at least one breathtaking NEW game like Metroid or Pokémon, I'm gonna be disappointed. Yes, Mario Odissey is gonna be amazing, just as BotW was last year, but we already know about that. Show us the stuff, Nintendo.

I think the Switch is bound for greatness. I stand by my point that when the big 3DS games - Pokémon and Monster Hunter - hit the system, it will fly off the shelves in a way we won't expect. As for myself, I'll buy one as soon as I get money, selling my Wii U for it.

@BLP_Software I don't think Masuda or GF as a whole would oppose to the idea of main games on Switch. The 3DS is sooo outdated by now. And since Nintendo isn't releasing a new handheld any time soon, it's only logical. And Ishihara seems to be on board too. It's gonna happen, and this news just puts more weight to speculation. Switch provides the portability Pokémon fans want, that's all that matters. It may not be the next game, but if not this year, then surely the next generation.

Gosh, I can't believe this. Sorry Damo (and Alex Olney). It looks cheap as f. People will get bored of it after a couple of weeks. Just bring Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to a party instead.

I feel like one more big title announced, even if not at launch, would've changed the general perception of "lack of games". Pokémon would definitely do the trick, or any other big thing like Metroid Prime. I guess we'll have to wait until E3 to be blown away again.

Loved the system. A little underwhelmed, expected more "wooow" games. Mario, Zelda and Splatoon are out of this world!

I think it doesn't really matter. As Reggie and Iwata kept saying over and over, games sell hardware.This time it looks like the'll do it right with a bunch of great games within the first year. C'mon, Pokémon, Breath of the Wild, 3D Mario... Even the enhanced ports of Wii U games matter here, nobody had one. The added portability is just a bonus (and an excuse for a Pokémon game).

I was divided between F-Zero and Kid Icarus. Ended up choosing Kid Icarus, I'm sure I'd love a sequel to KI:U more than a revival of F-Zero. Sakurai never disappoints, assuming he'd be in charge again.

Everybody new Zelda would be amazing, but it doesn't chabge the fact that there are very few announcements. Don't get me started on Mario Party! Here's to a new RPG that doesn't flop like Codename Steam tomorrow

I do disagree with the author on the "less new Pokémon" argument. As a competitive player, I feel like more is always better, even if some look stupid.

That's it. Zelda being the only playable game proves that there's not much left for Wii U. How can they not show NX at E3?! This is disastrous. Only time will tell what impact this move had on its sales and overall public perception, but E3... Nintendo's E3 is ruined. It's gonna be as bad or worse than last year's. I'm sure Zelda is gonna be awesome, but that's it.

I watch the japanese dubs, which is a bunch of episodes advenced. The XYZ series is good. It has a great start,but it doesn't take long until the "filler" episodes where nothing important happens appear. The thing with the pokémon anime is that they can drag it on for as much time as they want, with little plot development between episodes. XY games were announced in January, btw.

On a personal level, not much. I'll surely get the games on Wii U and 3DS, but as much as I'm curious to see what the NX is, I'm not getting it in the foreseeable future. Ever since Nintendo left Brazil prices have been ridiculous. It's hard enough to "maintain" the ones I got, NX will have to give place to my trusty PS4 and its PS Store price drops.

I love Shovel Knight. Love Plague of Shadows. Thank you Yacht Club games! Keep up the good work!
