The games so far have been damn good, but I still have some massive complains about the console overall (No Virtual Console anywhere in sight. Absolutely no easy way to communicate with friends online. Both the eShop and home menu feel bland without music. No central online hub for the community, like Miiverse.)

If Samus Returns is a huge hit (which it better be. Buy it, people!!!) I can see MercurySteam becoming a major player in Nintendo's future development plans.

Only bummer here is Revelations 2 being digital-only. That's gonna take up a lot of space :/

Metroid is my favorite video game series ever, so its return is more than welcome. Despite Nintendo's continued incompetence when it comes to having proper stock for their NES and SNES Classic consoles and their head-scratching approach to online, they are permanently in my good graces in 2017 for bringing back Metroid.

Typical Nintendo reasoning that makes no sense to anyone but them.

@Kayfios Other M is not a bad game at all. The biggest issue people have with it is the story and dialogue. The gameplay is rock solid.

Looking forward to this, but man, I have GOT to go back and finish the first game before I can play this.

Just seems way too early for Miiverse to be taken down. It's still a highly active community.

What angers me more though is that there doesn't seem to be any successor in sight for the Switch. Say what you will about the Wii U, but at least it had a fun online community. The Switch currently basically has NO community.

It's not that Nintendo hasn't learned anything. They're just doing this on purpose. They've basically mastered the art of creating artificial demand and screwing over their fans, and it seems like they couldn't care less.

This looks really great. Been a looooooooooong time since I got a FIFA game, but I think I'll pick this up, if only to support this kind of quality third party effort.

Sold out everywhere already. Nintendo is really trying my patience.

EVERYONE even remotely interested in Metroid needs to buy Samus Returns. If this game sells 1 million+ copies at least, Nintendo will see the benefits of listening to what the fans want, and the Metroid series will be back for good.

I will continue to have lukewarm feelings about the Switch eShop until Virtual Console games show up.

These numbers prove that the 3DS will be sticking around for quite some time. It's nothing short of incredible that a 6-year-old console is still selling THAT well. I think we're looking at no less than two more years of strong 3DS support.

Mighty No. 9 basically killed Kickstarter-funded games. What a total crap show.

I'm just planning on camping outside of my local GameStop early the morning of release. I am not missing out on one of these.

I am missing 5 Smash Bros. amiibo to complete my collection and I have the two Samus Returns amiibo on preorder. After I've got those 7, I'm pretty much retiring from collecting them. It's just been so much damn money lol.

Oof, I gotta question the 7% of people that claim they don't own any version of the 3DS. You've been missing out on one of the best gaming systems ever, people...

It's one of the best looking 3DS systems so far, but I just upgraded to a New 3DS last year, so I have no need for it.

Question is, I wonder if this will be the very last 3DS model? I think we might be seeing a brand new handheld before long..

I absolutely love my smaller New 3DS with the Pokemon Red/Blue faceplates. It's probably my favorite handheld that I've ever owned.

That's great. Now if they could just open up pre-orders here in North America already...

This game is really intriguing me. I've always wanted to create my own RPG, and the convenience of making one on my handy 3DS is really appealing.

If Nintendo doesn't do pre-orders again, I swear, I'm camping outside of my local GameStop overnight. I am NOT missing out on one of these.

Wasn't too interested until they announced it will include Pac-Man Vs. That pretty much makes it a must-buy.

It really is exciting that Star Fox 2 is finally getting released. I will be even more excited if I can actually get my hands on a SNES Classic and play it.

I'm not excited at all until I either secure a preorder or physically hold the box in my hands. Until then, I'm hesitant.

I want to get this just because it's basically the last major Wii U game.

A week later, I'm still blown away by the Metroid Prime 4 reveal, as well as Samus Returns. I honestly still can't believe it.

Nintendo's only announcements could have been Metroid Prime 4 and Samus Returns and I would have been satisfied.

Nintendo's best E3 in years. I'm still in a mild state of shock over the announcement of not one, but TWO Metroid games, one of which is already out in September. Everything else was just gravy.

@Cheski To this very day, I still credit Nintendo's E3 2008 conference as the reason I bought a PS3. I was so unbelievably disappointed that day, that I ultimately jumped ship and bought my first ever non-Nintendo console. That conference hurt me on a spiritual level.

Nintendo has since won back my trust and loyalty (mostly), but that was a dark day. First time in my life that I was embarrassed to be a Nintendo fan.

E3 2008 still gives me nightmares. I haven't been that disappointed in a video game-related event before or since. I will never forget the big announcement at the end of that conference.

"What's it gonna be?? A new 2D Metroid? F-Zero? Kid Icarus? New 3D Zelda?"

"We present to you..... Wii Music!"

Silver was the first mainline Pokemon game I ever played. This is an instant buy for me.

A third party game for a Nintendo console gets features stripped? Shocker.

So the first Legacy Collection gets a 3DS release, but not this one. Makes sense.

There are times when I truly feel like Nintendo hates their fans. This is one of those times.

There's no doubt a Smash port is coming to the Switch. It's just a question of when.

I'm just going to keep saving my coins for when they add some Switch rewards. Sure, they'll probably be just as disappointing as just about everything else about this service so far, but I'll take my chances.

I am definitely seeing a 3DS level of success in the Switch's future. Should sell in the 60-80 million range.

EA needs to get these guys on the phone and greenlight a new Rogue Squadron game. Now.

Am I the only one that's planning on picking up the Wii U version in addition to my Switch version for collector's sake? I hope I'm not the only one that's weird like that haha.

I never picked up the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess, and it soon became impossible to find at a decent price. Not making that mistake again!
