Metroid Prime 4 is absolutely not making it out this year (unfortunately) and I think BotW 2 is also pretty unlikely. Also, with the Sword and Shield DLC, I don't think a major new Pokemon game is happening either.
So, in my opinion, that leaves Bayonetta 3 or a major new Mario game. I could see both potentially happening.
THIS right here is my personal pick for Game of the Decade, and also my favorite 3D Mario game. The game took everything great about Mario Galaxy 1 and just did even more with it. I had a smile on my face the whole damn time I played this. Amazing.
While I absolutely believe Diamond and Pearl remakes are coming, this seems way too early to announce them.
My predictions are some sort of Sw/Sh expansion and info on Home and Sleep, and MAYBE that last Smash Bros. fighter pack character is a Galarian Pokemon.
Pretty good list put together by the community. That said, I think a few tweaks could have been made to the voting system. For example, I really don't think Shovel Knight needed to be here 3 times. The list should only consider the version that got ranked the highest and remove the other two to make room for other games.
Man oh man, what a tough decision. It's been another great decade of Nintendo games. I'm having a tough time deciding between the following for what #1 would be:
Pokemon HG/SS Super Mario Galaxy 2 Donkey Kong Country Returns Fire Emblem: Awakening Zelda: Skyward Sword Xenoblade Chronicles Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Super Mario 3D World Zelda: Breath of the Wild Super Mario Odyssey Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
You could tell me any one of those games was the best and I wouldn't be able to disagree with you.
I think this is the third week in a row where the North American cover is the easy choice for me. It has more action going on and it's just more exciting to look at.
Also, I never knew it was called Kirby's Adventure Wii in the PAL regions. Strange.
Pretty sure the Wii had a Virtual Console about 3-4x bigger by this point in its life. There's really just no excuse for the Switch's lack of classics. It's honestly just getting frustrating.
Honestly, I gotta say I like the EU one here. It's simple, but effective. You know you're in for something epic when you look at that. The NA cover is similarly effective too.
The Japanese cover? If I'm being honest, it's a bit goofy and cluttered. Not a fan.
SMW and SMB3 might be the two most infinitely replayable non-puzzle video games ever made. I still come back to them pretty much annually. They don't age.
Skyward Sword I believe is currently the Zelda game in the most need of a remaster. The game was graphically held back by the Wii's outdated tech and, though they certainly weren't horrible, I believe the motion controls can be improved or maybe even taken out entirely. Would love to see SS HD for Switch soon.
@chiefeagle02 So much potential to tell stories that take place in between the games. Or even a Samus origin story about her early days as a bounty hunter. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet.
Seems like this could be a sign of the beginning of the end of the 3DS and Wii U support. I think the eShop on both consoles will still be up for a couple more years for sure, but still, start getting your downloads in now!

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #27 - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Both 3DS ones are better than all the N64 ones haha.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #26 - Castlevania: Dracula X
Love the artwork on the Japanese and EU covers. Went with Japan for it being just a hair more visually appealing.
Re: Rumour: Prolific Leaker Says We'll Get Paper Mario And A 2D Metroid This Year
If even one of these is real, I'll take it.
Re: Poll: What Features Would You Want In A Switch 'Pro'?
Higher quality build and improved battery life (at least 50% more) are my bare minimum requirements for me to consider upgrading.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks - Super Mario Galaxy 2
THIS right here is my personal pick for Game of the Decade, and also my favorite 3D Mario game. The game took everything great about Mario Galaxy 1 and just did even more with it. I had a smile on my face the whole damn time I played this. Amazing.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The only thing that sucks about Mario Kart 8 is that it's so damn good that we're still waiting for 9 lol.
Re: Poll: What To Expect From The Pokémon Direct - Post Your Pokémon Predictions
While I absolutely believe Diamond and Pearl remakes are coming, this seems way too early to announce them.
My predictions are some sort of Sw/Sh expansion and info on Home and Sleep, and MAYBE that last Smash Bros. fighter pack character is a Galarian Pokemon.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks - Fire Emblem: Awakening
Great game, but I can't rank it above the GBA or Radiant games.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Thinks The Switch Home Menu Is A "Piece Of Crap"
I think the home menu is fine. The problem is there aren't any damn themes. It's boring.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade - The Best Games On Nintendo Systems 2010-2019

Re: Feature: 2010-2019 - Nintendo's Decade In Review
Hold up...... I just realized there's no mention of Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the 2010 section. That might be the best Nintendo game of the decade!
Re: Feature: 2010-2019 - Nintendo's Decade In Review
Nintendo Directs totally changed the ballgame. I think that has been my favorite Nintendo contribution of the decade. We miss you, Iwata.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #22 - Star Wars Episode I: Racer
Really not a fan of any of these haha. Went with Japan basically just cuz.
Re: Best Of 2019: A Pokémon Retrospective: Generation 7 - 2016 To 2019
@nessisonett I was not a big fan of Gen 6 and 7 either, but I'm honestly having a blast with Sw/Sh. It's by far my favorite 3D entry in the series
Re: Poll: Get Your Votes In For Nintendo's Game Of The Decade
Man oh man, what a tough decision. It's been another great decade of Nintendo games. I'm having a tough time deciding between the following for what #1 would be:
Pokemon HG/SS
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Xenoblade Chronicles
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Super Mario 3D World
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
You could tell me any one of those games was the best and I wouldn't be able to disagree with you.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #21 - Kirby's Return To Dream Land
I think this is the third week in a row where the North American cover is the easy choice for me. It has more action going on and it's just more exciting to look at.
Also, I never knew it was called Kirby's Adventure Wii in the PAL regions. Strange.
Re: Review: Shovel Knight: King Of Cards - A Worthy Swan Song To A Legendary Platforming Series
Yacht Club's dedication to this game has been nothing short of inspiring. These guys are awesome and I can't wait to see what their next game is.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #20 - Super Smash Bros.
Man, this one's actually pretty tough. I want to vote for the NA cover just for the nostalgia, but that Japanese cover is too fantastic.
Re: Get Resident Evil, Mega Man And More In Capcom's Black Friday eShop Sale (North America)
That RE4 thumbnail is cracking me up lol
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #19 - Contra III: The Alien Wars
NA wins in a landslide this week. That box art is simply one of the best ever.
Re: Talking Point: What's Happened To Switch's NES And SNES Games, Nintendo?
Pretty sure the Wii had a Virtual Console about 3-4x bigger by this point in its life. There's really just no excuse for the Switch's lack of classics. It's honestly just getting frustrating.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #18 - Donkey Kong 64
K. Rool isn't even present on the EU and Japan covers, so NA almost wins by default.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #17 - Ninja Gaiden
NA gets the easy win this week.
Re: Review: Pokémon Sword And Shield - A Solid Start To Gen 8 On Switch, Despite The Hate
Looking forward to picking up Shield.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #16 - Banjo-Tooie
Giving this one to Japan. Just has a little more excitement to it.
Re: Poll: Which Starter Pokémon Is The Best? Choose Your Favourite Fire-Type Starter
The Cyndaquil evolution line is one of my favorites in all of Pokemon.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #15 - Super Mario Bros.
The North American cover is just so iconic. I can't vote against it.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #13 - Goemon's Great Adventure
Voting EU for this one, but I actually really dig the NA cover too.
Re: Capcom Looking To "Awaken" Past Franchises After The "Indisputable Successes" Of Resident Evil And Monster Hunter
Dino Crisis please
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #12 - Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
NA cover wins without a doubt.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #11 - Final Fight
The NA cover is nostalgic for me, but I'm going Japan here.
Re: Review: FIFA 20 - A Shamelessly Cynical Attempt To Swindle Switch-Owning Footy Fans
People REALLY need to stop giving EA money. We need to start making this company sweat a little, then maybe things will change.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #10 - GoldenEye 007
North American cover, easily.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #9 - The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
Honestly, I gotta say I like the EU one here. It's simple, but effective. You know you're in for something epic when you look at that. The NA cover is similarly effective too.
The Japanese cover? If I'm being honest, it's a bit goofy and cluttered. Not a fan.
Re: Review: Super Mario World - Phenomenal Platforming Perfection
SMW and SMB3 might be the two most infinitely replayable non-puzzle video games ever made. I still come back to them pretty much annually. They don't age.
Re: Feature: A Look To The Past - All The Legend Of Zelda Remasters And Remakes
Skyward Sword I believe is currently the Zelda game in the most need of a remaster. The game was graphically held back by the Wii's outdated tech and, though they certainly weren't horrible, I believe the motion controls can be improved or maybe even taken out entirely. Would love to see SS HD for Switch soon.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - A Magical Remastering Of A Series Highlight
Can't wait to pick this up!!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #8 - Metal Gear
Definitely NA this week. Looks clean. Japan is a distant 3rd this time.
Re: Hardware Review: The Genesis / Mega Drive Mini Finally Does Sega's History Justice
Can't wait to pick one up. This looks great.
Re: Talking Point: Please Nintendo, Can We Get These Things In Switch Firmware Version 10?
The continued lack of themes honestly just blows my mind.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #7 - Star Fox
Japan wins this one. The NA cover is just a bit boring with it being only Fox, and the EU cover is too cluttered with text.
Re: Feature: Just Who The Heck Is Terry Bogard, Smash Bros. Ultimate's Latest DLC Fighter?
Who calls themselves a gamer and doesn't know who Terry freaking Bogard is?
Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite GameCube Games
I had to give out so many 10s. Might be my favorite game library ever.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #6 - Mega Man 3
This one's tough, actually. I went with the EU cover.
Re: Rumour: The Next DLC Fighter For Smash Bros. Ultimate Might Be Representing SNK
If this is true, there goes my prediction for Geno and Master Chief being the last two characters haha.
Re: Sonic Comic Writer Reveals Old Super Mario Bros. Comic Pitch
@chiefeagle02 So much potential to tell stories that take place in between the games. Or even a Samus origin story about her early days as a bounty hunter. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet.
Re: Sonic Comic Writer Reveals Old Super Mario Bros. Comic Pitch
Seems crazy that there aren't really any current comic book runs of Nintendo's major franchises. I would do bad things for a Metroid one.
Re: Nintendo Removing Credit Card Support From 3DS And Wii U eShop In Europe
Seems like this could be a sign of the beginning of the end of the 3DS and Wii U support. I think the eShop on both consoles will still be up for a couple more years for sure, but still, start getting your downloads in now!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #5 - Super Mario Kart
This is probably my bias and nostalgia showing, but I'm going with the NA cover here. The Japanese one is great though.
