Ruby and Sapphire are my personal favorites, along with FireRed and LeafGreen. There was just something special about the GBA generation.

North America, easily. One of my favorite covers ever.

The Western cover is just too iconic.

2017 is a great pick and everything, but I really think recency bias is really taking over this poll. 1994, 1998, 2004, and 2007 all matchup to 2017.

I honestly love all three.

@mesome713 There is literally video evidence of Cinnpie (24 at the time) and Puppeh (14 at the time) being touchy feely at a Smash event a few years ago. Look it up. It's genuinely unsettling and backs up Puppeh's claims.

All great, but I give it to Japan.

I think this is a no-brainer: 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2. All four of the open world 3D games.

Such a great game. I've really been enjoying it. Sega needs to continue reviving their old franchises like this.

To anyone that is worried about this being too small, it looks like it's about the same size as the Game Boy Micro, which was surprisingly comfortable. And I have above average sized hands.

The EU and Japan covers are so bland that I think NA just wins by default.

While I think the EU cover is the best, I just can't vote for a Contra cover that doesn't even feature the actual human characters that are supposed to be on it. NA all the way here.

Scalpers are aholes, but anyone that actually pays their outrageous prices is an idiot. Hope everyone just shows some patience and waits for eventual restocks.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the NA cover, but I think Japan is the clear winner here.

Really need some Saturn and Dreamcast games added to the SEGA Ages line, as well as some forgotten gems from the CD and 32X.

I'm so stoked for this game. Talk about a series that's been gone for way too long.

Meanwhile over here in North America, the My Nintendo Rewards haven't updated since like last year.

This one's tougher than I thought it'd be. They're all kind of... uninspiring. I voted Japan for having a bit more action going on. Nemesis clutching Brad like that makes for a pretty menacing cover.

This is one of those rumors that just sounds way too good to be true, but for once it would be awesome if one of these actually came true.

SEGA has got to start re-releasing more of their Saturn and Dreamcast games already. The Genesis has gotten more than enough love at this point.

I will believe it when I see it, but man, this would be awesome.

So this might just be a "wait for a sale" type of game. I definitely want to check it out, but yeah, $25 for such a short game seems a bit steep.

@Big_Nook Metacritic doesn't give the scores, reviewers from various publications do. Also Sonic Mania is awesome.

The Japanese art doesn't even represent what the game is about. It's just a woman sitting on a couch with a gun. No aliens or sci-fi elements whatsoever. Easily the worst choice here.

Honestly, I thought this seemed reasonably obvious from the beginning. It's not like Platinum is hurting for money.

I will admit nostalgia is playing a role here, but NA is the no-brainer vote for me. That art is absolutely iconic.

Interestingly enough, the first three Western releases are my favorites, with Path of Radiance probably being my #1. I need to get caught up on some of the newer entries though.

The art looks just a big better on the NA cover compared to the EU one, so I'll give it to that. The Japanese one just really doesn't fit the game, in my opinion.

I love Fire Emblem, but for crying out loud, it doesn't deserve 10% of the Smash roster. Here's hoping Byleth is the last one. Enough already.
