This one is tough. They're all so different.

In all my years of owning Nintendo consoles, I've only run into two major issues, one with my first Gamecube and one with my first Wii. The Gamecube totally stopped reading discs and the Wii would no longer display anything on the TV. Tried everything I could with both consoles, but no luck. Ended up having to replace both of them. But outside of those two situations, I've never had a major issue with any other Nintendo hardware.

Also, this is my new favorite feature on this site. Keep these coming!

Though the NA cover will always be near and dear to my heart, there is no doubt the European cover wins this. Not only is it the best RE4 variant, I would argue that is a top ten video game cover art of all time.

Imagine knowing nothing about RE4 and seeing that cover on a store shelf. How could you NOT buy that instantly? It's next-level mysterious and ominous.

Hopefully it's not a Sonic game. Sonic seriously needs a break. Sonic Mania 2 might be the one exception, however.

Gotta go with the North American one here, although the Gundam-style European one looks sick. The Japanese one is actually pretty weak.

Mario Kart DS remains my choice for #1. Hundreds of hours spent playing that with friends. Best handheld multiplayer game ever.

I think Japan takes this one, despite my nostalgia for the North American cover. That art on the Japanese version is just gorgeous.

I'll gladly wait for this. $20 each is actually a fair price.

Whether you are excited for these games or not, there is simply no denying that graphically they are pretty damn sad.

@Lumine It's not holding anything ransom. It's called business. If the game doesn't sell well why in the world would they put the resources into making a sequel?

I never would have beaten Mega Man 1 without save states. Even by old school standards, that game is tough as nails to beat vanilla.

@ReaderRagfish My exact thoughts. When I first heard about this, I honestly was thinking $5 or less. The actual price surprised me. I know this is essentially a free game, but 10 bucks for an CPU version of the main mode and a marathon mode? Ehhhhhh.

Switch has had cruddy battery life since day one. One of the things I really hope they improve on with the new model(s).

A lot of Dreamcast classics need a second life already.

Fondest memories of mine were playing my family's small collection of games on that old grey brick, including Super Mario Land 2, Dr. Mario, Tail 'Gator, TMNT II, Kirby's Dreamland, and more. Still have all of them safely tucked away and that old Gameboy is proudly on display behind a glass case, ready for whenever I might need it.

Happy birthday, Game Boy!

Gonna miss this man. Hope he still makes the occasional appearance at Nintendo events.

Pretty crazy that it took 22 years for FF7 to finally make its way to a Nintendo console. All the N64 owners back in the 90s finally don't have to be jealous anymore!

Mega Man 11 is so damn good.

GX is my favorite non-Mario Kart racing game ever.

@NImH I have played Zero (I own it). The controls take some getting used to. Haven't picked up Starlink yet, but it's on the list.

I would do bad things for a Rogue Squadron trilogy remaster for Switch.

@NImH Eh, not the best point to make. Star Fox Zero was notoriously met with lukewarm response over its control scheme, and Starlink isn't a Star Fox game. I think the sales of Star Fox 64 3D are a better indicator of the interest in the franchise.

Been waiting 15 years for a new F-Zero, and I'm going to keep waiting. Mind blowing that Nintendo hasn't released one since the Gamecube/GBA era.

Probably my favorite surprise announcement from Nintendo since the Metroid Prime 4 reveal.

Link's Awakening is easily my #1 favorite announcement, but man, that Astral Chain game looks sweet.

Never ceases to amaze me how long the 3DS has continued to thrive. It's about to enter year 9, and I think it's gonna make it to 10. I don't think anyone ever expected the 3DS to become Nintendo's longest-running handheld.

Definitely the end of an era. Wii Shop Channel had a good run.

I'll never forget my first download: F-Zero. It absolutely blew my mind at the time that I was downloading NES, SNES and N64 games on my new console.

Goodbye, Wii Shop Channel. Thanks for the memories.

Man, we need a new Direct really bad. All these rumors over the last several weeks have just gotten crazy out of hand haha.

Definitely hoping for a revision in 2019 that greatly improves the battery life, has an overall stronger build, and fixes joy-con connection issues. A better screen display couldn't hurt either. I will definitely upgrade if they do all of that.

Skyward Sword, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and Metroid Prime trilogy absolutely need HD makeovers. Please make it happen, Nintendo. I'd throw my money at you so hard.

This is both expected news and REALLY exciting news. SS is the last 3D Zelda game without a remaster, so it was obviously inevitable.

My one big request: make motion controls optional. That's all I want and I'm 100% in.

@SwitchForce Yes, but they're overpriced. Not paying a penny over the regular price unless I'm left with no other choice. Hoping for a restock soon.
