Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars were no brainer picks for me, but I had a hard time picking my third favorite. It's very close between Contra III, Super Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island and Super Metroid. I simply couldn't pick one.

You know a console had an incredible library when narrowing down your top three is an impossible task.

The amount of fun I had playing the SNES back in the 90s is something that I've barely been able to replicate since. Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, TMNT IV, Mario Paint and Super Mario All-Stars are just a few of the games that I spent countless hours having endless fun playing. The SNES was just a magic machine, and I still enjoy its library of great games to this day.

Very excited to pick up this game. The disappointment of no new traditional Metroid game still lingers, but that won't stop me from giving this game a chance.

Good to hear. Nothing more annoying than people that cheat the system to gain an advantage, both in online competitive games and games like Pokemon Go. It's unfair to everyone else that's playing legit, and frankly, it just makes you a douche.

Nice to see Nintendo on top again. And it's been really fun seeing the Pokemon craze start up again thanks to Pokemon Go. I think this is the most popular the brand has been since it first began.

@MarketSquareHero Yeah it concerns me as well. Those wires look like they are maybe 3-4 feet long, which means there's no way this console can sit comfortably by the TV. Probably going to have to put it on the floor every time you play. Granted, that's how it was done back in the day too, so maybe it's not so bad. Good memories sitting with a friend on the floor with the console and all the cartridges scattered around.

The NES Classic Mini is going to be a massive success this Holiday season, so I think a SNES Mini and N64 Mini are inevitable. Both would be even bigger hits.

Very excited to play Moon in November. These games are shaping up quite nicely.

Personally, I'll be buying it. It seems like it will be a really fun game.

With that said, I have the same gripe as everyone else: It's still not the traditional Metroid game that we've all been begging for. If there isn't a new traditional Metroid game currently in the works, then FF is seriously just a giant middle finger to the fans, even if it ends up being a good game. You can't leave a great franchise like Metroid out to dry for 6 years and then only give us a spinoff game. That's just mean.

Can I just give all five of my votes to Metroid? I want Metroid Prime 4 so bad I can't even put it into words.

Another thing that Nintendo HAS to fix with the NX is cross-buy. If I have to re-buy my Virtual Console games AGAIN, I'm going to be thoroughly pissed. Every VC game on my Wii U should transfer over to my NX free of charge. You simply cannot force your customers to buy the same classic games 3-4 times just to have them on all of their consoles. That's just absurd.

The concept is intriguing and Breath of the Wild being a launch game means I'll be purchasing this sucker day one.

With that said, it's hard to not remain a little skeptical. Can Ninty succeed at avoiding the mistakes of the past? They need to ensure that the NX has plenty of quality 3rd party support and also keep pumping out great first party exclusives consistently, avoiding the stretch droughts that plagued the Wii U. By E3 2017, I fully expect to see a new 3D Mario, a new Metroid and plenty of other exciting games, otherwise I will be disappointed that the NX will repeat the mistakes of the Wii U.

Nintendo, just give us the GAMES. If you can keep providing a healthy amount of great titles on a consistent basis, my money is yours.

Still trying to figure out why the New 3DS SNES games don't feature multiplayer. It makes no sense.

I can't imagine they wouldn't eventually release this on the NX. Nintendo consoles have always been THE home for 2D platformers. Sales numbers would be too great for them to not do it.

The next logical release would definitely be a mini Super Nintendo. Imagine 30 of the best SNES games in one convenient package (Super Mario World, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy IV and VI, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc.). That would easily be HUNDREDS of hours of retro goodness.

Even with the amazing looking Breath of the Wild, this was easily Nintendo's worst E3 showing since 2008, and I would even argue it was worse than that. They had Zelda and Pokemon Sun/Moon. That's it. Where the hell was the NX? Not even a measly glimpse at what it might be? Where the hell are all of the other games? I have Pokemon to look forward to this Fall and that's all? Unbelievably terrible E3 for Nintendo, no matter how good Zelda looks. One game doesn't save it.

I'm not sure anything will quite match that first Twilight Princess reveal, and Miyamoto's appearance on stage with the sword and shield immediately after. That was a legendary moment (no pun intended).

If I had to pick a close second, I'd have to go with the reveal of Mega Man's inclusion in Smash Bros. That was a dream-come-true moment for me.

This is a freaking steal. $80 for a handheld with an amazing library of games.

@leo13 Nope. You can only transfer from an older model to a New model. I can confirm this, as I just recently transferred my original 3DS data to my New model, and it gave me a notification that I can't transfer back.

Moon for me! Haven't decided on a starter yet though...

I think I'm leaning toward getting Moon. However, I'm torn between Rowlet and Litten as my starter. I almost always start with the water Pokemon, so I'm changing it up this time.

I'll say this much: the new Zelda better be the best freaking thing since sliced bread. Not only is dedicating an entire day at E3 to one game completely unheard of, but they've already confirmed that the NX, a console that is releasing in less than a year, won't even make an appearance at all.

Zelda better blow my damn socks off and then some, because this is the least excited I've been for a Nintendo E3 showing since... maybe ever. I love Nintendo, but this is a very strange approach to the biggest gaming event of the year, and that's putting it mildly.

My personal list of Pros and Cons for the GamePad:

Pros: Off-TV play is a wonderful option to have, It's well-built and has a nice, big screen and Using the GamePad as a second screen for multiplayer.

Cons: The battery life is absolutely pathetic, The inability to totally deactivate the GamePad when you want to use another controller can be a major nuisance and A VAST majority of games hardly even utilize its special features

Overall, I like the GamePad, I really do. But there have been major flaws and under-utilization with it.

So far, I like My Nintendo. Easy to navigate and plenty of ways to earn coins.

However, there are two things that concern me: 1) Points expire after six months, which makes absolutely no sense, and 2) How often will the rewards be updated? If they don't update at least every other month, that would be a major issue.

@Peek-a-boo Huh? How did I not read the article properly? None of the 3DS Pokemon games made it into the top ten and I'm just surprised that they didn't make it.

@NewAdvent Man, I still remember when the Gamecube was THE Zelda console. If you had a Game Boy Player attached to it, you could play every single entry in the series up through Twilight Princess.

Personally, A Link Between Worlds is my favorite 3DS game to date.

Also, the lack of Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS is rather surprising.

Looks legit to me. Wonder if this is the rumored handheld part of the console? Or is it the actual controller? Time will tell. I'm guessing Nintendo will stay silent on the matter until E3.

It still just shocks me that Nintendo is abandoning the Wii U so quickly. I got it on launch day and it seriously doesn't feel like it was that long ago.

Personally, I only ever buy digitally if it's only available on the eShop (indie titles and whatnot) or if there's a massive discount. I like my physical copies.

I'll say this much: I'm definitely intrigued.

Really no argument against Mario Kart being #1, in my opinion. Paper Mario could challenge it if Nintendo would go back to the series' roots and make a TRUE sequel to Thousand-Year Door.

Mario Kart is easily the top answer here. I would have thrown in a vote for Paper Mario too, but Nintendo seems to have completely abandoned what made the first two games so great.

Loved Nintendo Power. I became a subscriber in 2004 and I stuck with it for the rest of its run.

Pokemon Blue has sucked me in and won't let go. I seriously feel like a kid again playing these games. 10/10 in my book.

Pretty clear that this game is heavily influenced by Star Fox 64. Awesome.

I have purchased the same SNES games on my Wii and Wii U, and I will NOT be doing it a third time. There is no reason I should have to pay full price for these games AGAIN. I can't believe Nintendo isn't offering a discount to people that already own these games on Wii U or, God forbid, offering them for free. No excuses. It's 2016, have a damn REAL unified account system already, Nintendo.

@3dsgeek333 Personally, I'm looking forward to Federation Force. I hope we see a traditional Metroid game soon though.

3DS version of this game is one of the more underrated gems on the system.

I can't wait for Star Fox Zero. I hope it's good.

Yeah, honestly, HeartGold and SoulSilver very well might be the best Pokemon games to date. Perfect example of a remake done right.

Tropical Freeze is all mine!

My predictions for this Direct: Pokken Tournament info, Detective Pikachu info, Pokemon Go info and release date and, the big one, Pokemon Z announced at the end of the Direct.

Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are my three picks. A Link Between Worlds was a very close 4th choice.

Preordered this the week it was announced, thinking this would sell out instantly like most Nintendo bundles do. I'm surprised it didn't.

Getting my Pokemon Red & Blue New 3DS at the end of the month, so safe to say I still fully support this handheld. Hope there are some more great releases on the horizon.

I hope they take as much time as they need to ensure a great game. I've been waiting a decade for a new console Star Fox game, and I'd rather they don't screw it up.

Best version of RE4. Easily.

The definitive version of SMB3. This was my first ever GBA game and I played it like crazy. And this version comes with all of the e-reader levels?? I'm sold.

Freedom Planet is the most tempting one here. Might finally download that.
