@Uberchu Don't be a child. Lets just release games with all on disc content unlocked from day 1.
If the game would suck the current method would not keep people comming back. The game is great and thats why people keep playing it. And that would not change if all content was available from the start.
As a side effect the game would have scored higher than 90 on average.

Early Access is not something we want on consoles. It is already a mess on PC with so many games never getting finished. And once they do get finished teh community does of really fast cause everyone already played the game too much.

There are some good exceptions to this but not enough.

FAST on WiiU and Steamworld Heist on 3DS are the most interesting to me.

Whats up with all that DLC for SWC3?
That much DLC makes me not want to buy the game.
74,91€ minimum for all DLC is a lot. even tho i gues most of it is just cosmetic stuff and the scenario pack is the only thing gameplay related.

This game still looks like a HD Version of a Gamecube game. The art Style is so generic that it looks bland and lackluster. Texture quality is meidum at best and horrible at worst sometimes.
The gameplay looks very slow and way too easy. And the "stealth" missions look really boring.

If this is what Nintendo wants me to buy i will pass. And if this game does not sell it will be Nintendo's fault. This is not what i expected and not what i wanted. Shame to have to pass on this game even if that means we will never see another Star Fox game.

To me this might be the most disappointing Nintendo release ever.

Sounds like a bargain bin game if you buy it at all.

The game looks worse that Rogue Leader on the GCN.
If you gave RL HD textures it would be a much better looking game.

This game broke the Digital Event the second they showed footage of it.

The Digital Event got me to the point that i will not buy any more Nintendo consoles unless there is a Mario Kart or Splatoon out for that system. Those are the two franchises i really want to play. I am pretty much done with the rest of Nintendo.
This might of course chnage of the next few months but this is my current state of mind.

Why are we even calling these unlocks free updates? They are just timed unlocks that are already on the disc.

@Cherkov I think that Tower Control, at least two more maps as well as a couple weapons are already on disc. Rainmaker could be on disc but i think that mode will be released with the august update. Friends team lobby as well as friends vs friends is being worked on right now.

@skywake They already got your money for these maps and weapons. They are just deciding when you can play the maps you already own.

At first i though the system was a nice idea but now i think it is annoying.

Gonna be interesting to see how they build around the fact that those two consoles do not come with a second screen build in.
What made this game special was the second screen. It is still one of the best games to showcase what is possible.

@Faruko One new entry every generation like Mario Kart or smash Bros is my gues. It is Nintendos 3rd big multiplayer franchise now.

From what we can tell right now i think the game will get over 1 million copies sold. Perhaps it will even manage 2 million.

@Dr_Corndog Because the game gets released in a more or less incomplete state. So the reviews will result in lower scores. And that is something i totally understand.

I honestly believe that Nintendo has at least a few maps already ready and wants to push them out over time to keep the game fresh. But it hurts the review scores.

This game was presented to us as an online multiplayer game first.
I got no idea why people suddenly were expecting a lengthy single player campaign.
And new maps will be realsed all summer long until the big patch in august afaik. All free of charge.

The game is 45€ with Amiibo in Germany. No idea why it is so expensive in northern america.

Depending on how that Splatoon Theme looks and sounds i might pick that one up.

When you look at his first time he posted just over 2 years ago. He was at 20:03.
Now two years later he has improved by 2 minutes and 16 seconds.
Such a small amount in such a long time. I would have never had the stamina to do this.

@Discostew Because it is fun to watch them play and fail at a game.
It gives context to what is happening and the game picture is more interesting than a face. Tho most Let's Play i watch have no facecam what so ever. And i still would not watch a different player play the same game.

Some Let's Plays i watch to even learn stuff about games i play. For example i watch Grubby on twitch a lot when he plays HotS because he is really good at the game and i hope to learn some something and get a better understanding of the game.
Gues what he gets invited to the US for a tournament (as a caster i believe) and Blizzard made sure he could Stream from Blizzard HQ after the tournament was done for the day.
Blizzard even had a community vot on the best streamers for their games and the winner got a nice check.

@PaperMario64 If people buy their hardware and software regardless then why does the WiiU suffer so much and the 3DS can't get close to the DS sales.

The old demographic that bought the DS and the Wii have moved on to Smartphones and Tablets. And Nintendo is left with what little they had at the end of the Gamecube/GBA era. And it appears to be shrinking.
Pokemon is on a steady decline and lost nearly 60% of its playerbase already.

What many people here don't seem to understand is why people watch Let's Plays these days.
People watch because of the person playing the game not because of the game. Most people will start out watching Let's Play because of the game but after a while that changes.

Just take a look at twitch and explain why channel a playing game x has so much more viewers than channel b playing said game x.
It is because of the streamer. If you are boring noone will watch you.
Same situation on youtube. If you are good at waht you do people will watch you no matter what game you play.
These days people watch Pewdiepie because of him and not because of the game he plays.

I watch some streamers because i like them and i pretty much watch every game they play no matter if i am interested or not. And sometimes it makes me interested in a game and i buy it.

The problem right now is that all the big streamers and youtubers shy away from nintendo and give that exposition to other games. Some even want to put nintendo games on their channel because they enjoy them but don't because other companies don't treat them like nintendo does.

@Kaze_Memaryu Can you link me to any articles or tweets that say that EA and Activision taking down negative reviews lately? Since i have not seen any outcry in the Youtube community over this in the past few months even years i find it hard to believe. I would like to read up on it.

@Kaze_Memaryu You know that many companies like EA and Acitivision now encourage Youtubers to make videos about their games. Because they know that Youtube is great for marketing. And most of the time it does not cost them anything.

I want to see my fav content creators play Nintendo games. But nearly everyone is now stopping doint it. Some even refuse to make reviews for Nintendogames. Youtube pretty much replaced TV for me. I got Youtube , Netflix and my BD library for my non gaming entertainment.
And just to clarify. I do not watch those people for the games. But for who they are and what they do while they are playing. So them playing Nintendo games would be a bonus to me.

MK8 DLC for me. Currently i am getting 3 Stars on every Cup. Only missing 4 Cups in Mirror Mode right now. After that i will be ready for the DLC.

Best Racing Game: MK7
Best JnR: 3D Land

In addtion to that i recommend Ghost Recon and Resident Evil The Mercenaries (but that one is not on the list).

Would still buy it in a heartbeat.

True real faceplates would be better. But this just lokks way too cool not to have So i ordered it.

Since i am plaing the AA Trilogy atm i will pick up AA DD for sure.

If this makes money everyone who downloaded it will be responsible for what will come next.

As a newcomer to the harvest moon franchise would ToTT be a gooid entry point? I am considering picking it up and from what i read it sounds to be a more simpler game than other harvest moon games. That would be a bonus to me since i would be totally new to the series.

@noctowl You are part of the problem. Because of people like you every game gets more and more micro transactions put into them. You sure can't wait for the Mario game that will let you buy lives and powerups to continue right? Oh and at a certain point these will be the only wa to progress in a decent timeframe.

These games need to fail so hard no publisher will ever pick them up again.
