I really wanted to see Nintendo's spin on mobile games. And this is not even a game.
Mobile games are so hard to get right because of the limitation of smartphones. You have to find a perfect balance with controls and the best so far have been the one touch games. Everything else feels just wrong. Would have been nice to see what Nintendo could have come up with.
A Mario endless runner or something like Rayman Jungle Run with that special Nintendo twist would have been interesting.

@amiiboacid But it is. It got perhaps 1 more year if we are lucky 2.
The GCN is considered a failure by many and the WiiU sold about half of that by now. I highly doubt the WiiU will ever reach those numbers.

A new IP on a failed system is hitting 2.5 million. Thats quite an achievement.
Glad the game was recieved so well.

Well we all know that Miyamoto is way past his prime. And that he has nearly no understanding of the western market. He is still one of the best game designers ever but i think it is time for him to step aside and let others take lead.
I will never understand why he tought it would be a great idea to change Paper Mario 3DS the way he did.

I am surprised it even hit 11.

I am 100% digital on PC, about 50% on my 3DS and about 10% on WiiU.
And i would love to have all my 3DS games digital only.
So overall i would welcome an all digital future but i understand those that would like to keep physical copies.

I hate it when content gets cut. I know quite a few people who will not buy games if content gets cut.

I will finally pick up RE:Rev. Still got 10€ on my eShop account and i have been waiting for a discount.

I might get Zelda for 20€.

Steamworld Heist and Zelda are interesting but nothing i can get excited about.
So i have to go with none.

The only thing i disagree with is "residuals for games selling upwards of 2 million copies".
Everything else should be a given.

Isn't this what Kickstarter was meant to do. Getting a product off the gound.
If he had managed to get that bigger investor or publisher in time everyone would have been happy.

@HawkeyeWii Well the Vita is niche by itself. Only people with a very specific taste play that console these days. So i would assume that niche titles rise to the top on such a system.

And i would be amazed if Fallout 4 outsells CoD.
Advanced Warfare outsold Fallout 3 and New Vegas combined.

Xenoblade is a niche game. It is as simple as that.

So people really buy everything if you slap the right IP on it. Interesting.

@TeeJay Nintendo owns TPC. So i extend my blame to them. The parent is to blame if they can't control their kids.

I am so done with Nintendo. I just moved my WiiU to the attic and do not plan to buy any homeconsole ever again.
Wanted to stick to Handhelds but i gues i just cancel that as well. There re some (very few) good games on mobile and i will just play those.

Edit: They were in the right to do this obv. But i am in the right to turn my back on them because of it.
Edit2: And since TPC is owned by Nintendo i will extend the blame to Nintendo.

Take Xenoblade off the list and you got an abysmal lineup for the holidays.
Those are all niche games anyway. Some will sell because of the brand of course.

Well i made the move from PC/WiiU/3DS to PC/3DS this week. I had fun with the WiiU but i think it will be the last home console i will ever buy.
PC gaming is just better for my home entertainment.

I love the Lego games but this is just way too expansive.
100€ for the base game and then they have "expansions" for another 500€ lined up already.

Now i understand why noone takes videogamers siriously. So much stupidity in this thread.

There are no "Ink Physics" in that game. You hit a wall and it turns into your color. It is just a really really bad clone.
But it sure is a desperate move.

I kinda want this game on the 3DS.

Expensive! Hoped i only needed one more code to get it but now i am 1200 points short. Well i will have to skip this and pick up Alleyway for the 3DS.

@Claytonbob We added Super Smash Bros to the mix as well. But yeah those two games consumed a lot of my time back in the days

Again it strikes me as odd that any idiot can get a gun in the US without even having to try.

Beside better lighting and better textures here and there the games look very much a like. And the WiiU has that dirty filter to mask both of these upgrades.
Bigger fov is always nice as well.

Missing the second screen and the multiplayer is a bummer tho.
I think i would rate the WiiU version higher in the end. 8 on WiiU and 7 on the other platforms.

@Einherjar It is not. These Hacks always lead to piracy. If you develop such a hack you will develop it for piracy by proxy. You can not sugarcoat it with region lock removal or anything else.

@Kirk If you work at a company you do not talk about that compny unless you are allowed to talk about it. A low level figure like him will never be allowed to talk that freely on a podcast.

Don't break NDAs and you won't get fired. It is a pretty simple game to play.

Just say it won't get release anymore and be done with it. This BS marketing has to stop. We are not stupid.

I would pick Shibata but if it has to be one of either Miyamoto or Takeda i would pick Takeda in a heartbeat.
Miyamoto is just not someone i would like to see in charge. He made too many mistakes in the last couple of years already.

Thats the problem right now. Bad behavior is getting rewarded. Just look at WB, EA and Ubi. They pull stunts like BMAK, BMO, WD, ACU, BF4 or BFH and they still sell millions.

Can we please stop with this Kickstarter bs. The game was not on Kickstert. It was funded through different means.

Still the game was launched as a PS3, 360, WiiU, PC title. And they took money from players of these systems. All but one of those initial system got dropped.

Its a company that should not be supported by anyone in the future.

We all saw this news comming a mile away after the last couple of statements from the devs.
