Nintendo UK, Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe have all tweeted confirmation that we will be seeing the new stage, "Moray Towers" dropping as the latest DLC stage for Splatoon today and early tomorrow.
As the name would suggest, Moray Towers is set upon a skyscraper-like structure, set looming above all other buildings. Hopefully Inklings don't suffer from vertigo, as the stage has a number of ledges that can lead to perilous drops.
Moray Towers is due for release at 7pm PT, 10PM EST for those in the US, and Saturday "morning" for those of us in the UK (3am) and Europe (4am).
How excited are you for Moray Towers? Let us know in the comments.

I love the regular updates keeps the game fresh
Just imagine tower control on this stage...
@jrwchil STAY FRESH!
Oh man. This will require some different tactics.
Awesome!
Staying Fresh!!!
I've been looking forward to this one.A different approach will be needed for this.
Another On Disc Content unlock. Hooray!
Still love this game but this content policy sucks.
Hurray, this saved my weekend!
@Sinister I like it.
Waiting for the Tower Control battles here.
edit: Also, loving some suction bomb high ground awesomeness.
3am is literally morning, no need for the quote marks!
Holy flounder, this looks awesome! Finally, we have a map with heavy focus on verticality!
SPLATOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
Amaze! Extreme amaze!
I love splatoon so much but am starting to get a little peeved by the matchmaking. For me it only started after tower control was released, which meant we could no longer play splat zones when we want to. Thing is, if Nintendo came out honestly and said 'look, our data says that only X number of people are playing at any given time. If we open up more content and give players free choice our data tells us it may take too long to find a match.' I could get on board with that and would appreciate the honesty, even if I'd rather we get to decide how long we're willing to wait for ourselves. I haven't heard anything like that, has anyone? I played the same map five or six times in a row on turf war the day before yesterday, it's a bit ridiculous. Did still enjoy every one of those games, to be fair. 😆
This map does look fantastic.
Still need to try the new weapons though.
@rjejr
Happy Birthday #10!
Looks like a sniper's haven. So I'm gonna get splatted a lot..
@luke88 I agree. As someone who prefers Splat Zones mode, I find myself checking which mode is currently available and turn the game off if it's Tower Control.
@sinalefa - Thanks again. Halfway there.
Really thought they would release this one concurrently w/ the rainmaker mode as it looks like it was designed w/ that mode in mind - carrying an object to the other teams spawn point.
Guess it's good we get it beforehand for practice. The more stages we get, the less I have to play in the warehouse and on the rig, though tower control on the rig hasn't gotten old yet as the moving platforms come into play more.
It looks small. Theres probably gonna be a lot of chaos and sniper weapons are probably most useful here.
This is perfect! I typically play around this time! (~9PM-11PM EST)
Can't help thinking of Donkey Kong when I see all those ramps.
@Fazermint yeah, after a quick blast on turf wars, I often do the same. I'm still hopeful that things will change, perhaps after the number of copies sold reaches a certain threshold. No idea that would need to be though, or even if my theories on this are actually correct at all.
This looks awesome. VERY different from anything else in the game.
Can't wait. I'm already thinking of different approaches.
Me thinks snipers will be dominant here.
@luke88. I'm hopeful they will change this eventually. My guess is they are ensuring stability and quick matchmaking for the time being, while collecting the data they need. With so much New stuff being added, it will probably be like this for a bit. Hopefully one day. Truly love this game though.
So is this actually a completely new stage created specifically for online play? Normally they are just stages you could already play in Hero mode but I've played through that mode 3 times and don't remember this one.
@Sinister It free...
Cool, this stage looks very different to the rest. I can't wait to try it out.
@WarlockNem All of those stages were made for the online portion of the game, then they found a way to incorporate them into Octo Valley. Thats why they're perfectly symmetrical.
Those paths are so thin and high... much more PvP in this level methinks, which is nice.
@Splatburst I have to ask: Is that GIF created by Nintendo?
@Skeletor
I think it was fan-made. I'm not sure since I only found it on a random post in another gaming site.
@Sinister your right lets do an EA or capcom, and make you pay for the on disk content. thats x5 better right?
No, this method is great, and keeps people coming back...
@Uberchu Don't be a child. Lets just release games with all on disc content unlocked from day 1.
If the game would suck the current method would not keep people comming back. The game is great and thats why people keep playing it. And that would not change if all content was available from the start.
As a side effect the game would have scored higher than 90 on average.
