The only things I want for the Switch 2 is an actual, stable E-shop that doesn't lag and crash at random; the NSO or whatever their online app will be called, stable enough to give me a reason to pay for a subscription unlike now, and a UI that isn't void of personality and let me customize it to make it feel like it's mine.

Nintendolife, would please do the rest of us a favor and STOP.REPORTING.ON.THESE.FANGAMES.

@GrailUK considering these games are only available as part of the NSO subscription and you're not actually owning the games, I would say with absolute certainty that yes, it's still alright to emulate them.

@Ulysses It's not that simple.

You can't just patent something as vague as, 'throwing a ball' or 'riding a horse' as it's too vague and broad of a description and expect everyone to just abide by it as final; not to mention it does nothing but stifle creativity and if Nintendo wins this lawsuit, creates a dangerous precedent for these big companies to abuse at any given point and time when they feel like it to get some extra cash from devs who can't afford it.

So basically, Nintendo is taking our badge boxes and saying, "yeah, we know you all paid money to acquire these items, but we're only going to allow you to access the ones you already have on your system rather than providing you a way to download the rest of them from your badge box on to your system before the shutdown. Thanks for the revenue!"

This is why digital piracy should not be a moral issue. Especially If you paid money to purchase something and the publisher or developer takes that item away, then you have every right to restore that purchase by any means necessary.

Please, no. We don't need any more ports or remasters/remakes, they already have oversaturated the Switch market as is. (along with a plethora of mobile ports and hentai games)

What we need is more new, not old.

A DS Mario Collection HD on Switch with all the mini games included would be great though I doubt we'd get it anytime soon.

Until we get concrete evidence of it returning, I can only assume that people are going to start scrambling for physical copes due to the last scare we had a while back.

The lack of respect for Gundam Breaker 4 is sad to say the least.

Already have them on emulator, so I won't be playing them on Switch anytime soon.

Despite some of its shortcomings, Smash Ultimate was a very solid entry in the franchise. I just wish they'd have added more single player content in the form of trophies and a successor to SSE.

As glad as I am to see that Jack Skellington is getting another appearance in a Disney game; It still baffles me that, just like in Disney Infinity, we aren't getting a proper Nightmare Before Christmas themed world to explore.

Nintendo Land reworked to have NSO integration to replace Miiverse would be an amazing idea if Nintendo wasn't so afraid of a few bad apples sending naughty things to kids. Not condoning what those bad apples did, but Nintendo needs to deal out punishment on a person-to-person basis instead of punishing everyone who uses the service responsibly.

Forsake modern gaming; return to retro.

Seriously though, all this nonsense with these huge buyouts and lack of care and creativity from these publishers and devs of these modern titles just makes me yearn for the days of the late 90's to mid 2000's where it felt like gaming was at its peak compared to now where everything feels disposable and lifeless.

I feel like all these updates for new spirits are just being used as free marketing for Nintendo's new releases. Not saying there's anything wrong with that but it's just interesting to take note.

Would be nice if Nintendo released a patch for amiibo support just like in MM1 but I think we all know that's not happening at this point.

To the people saying, "PalWorld is ripping of Game freaks monster designs and that's not cool." How about the companies be allowed to compete of who has the better interpretation of said designs and allow the customers to decide which IP is better overall and maybe jerk a kink in Game freaks tail about innovating their main franchise?

Can't say I'm really all that excited. There's been so many DB games coming out yearly that I'm starting to get burnout on the IP all together.

Cyber Sleuth is pretty much Pokémon and SMT mashed into one and to me, is what makes it the best monster collector of the bunch.

And yet, we have no word of RR release on Switch or PC for that matter. Such a missed opportunity.

Don't know about everyone else, but I'm starting to get burned out on all these remasters and remakes; if publishers are going to re-release old content, then I'd rather they just release the old titles with the bugs and controls fixed at a reasonable price like but NOT like what SM: 3D- AS was.

Think I'll stick with the original. Can't say I'm too much of a fan of the 3D graphics and wished they'd have kept more closely to the original art style as it added more personality to the characters and environments compared to the new art style where everything looks stiff(I also have those same feelings towards the Superstar Saga remake); unfortunately I also have those same feelings toward the TTYD remake where instead of keeping the storybook aesthetic of the original, they decided to go with the more realistic, bright, paper look for the environments from the more recent Paper Mario games and I just can't say I'm a fan of it.

Meh, I'd switch the four and five spot, but that's just me.

More PR talk for, "We want you to play our games but we don't want you to 'play' our games."

The problem that a lot of people here seem to not realize is that disks and cartridges are nothing more than keys that allow the console to access the software, so it literally doesn't matter whether you get an all-digital console or not, it all leads to the same conclusion.

I have no interest of playing it. I've learned my lesson from Nintendo's other 99 outing and that also goes for NSO as a whole.

Well, still rather disappointed that we didn't get any more guest characters or courses from other Nintendo IPs (Or Pacman from MK Arcade), but this'll do nicely I suppose.

Wow, that's disappointing. a region based on classic Japanese culture sounded like such a neat idea. Too bad GF can't get the technical side of things fixed do to crunch.

It's a shame Ubisoft can't seem make good Rayman content after the Origins and Legends releases. Of course, it's a grim picture of what modern Ubisoft is now; an out of touch company that charges outrageous prices for their popular IPs with little to no work put into them whatsoever which is funny considering how much time and care they put into Starllink's Starfox content but I suppose that was due to Nintendo's oversight.

Could it really have killed Nintendo to make the Joy-Cons white and give the dock, Mario's overall design? This just looks bland to me.

I just find it funny that a game called "Vampire Survivors" focuses on Death being the main antagonist with the vampire (Dracula?) on the cover nowhere to be found.

In the age of digital gaming and emulation/roms, I can't say I have many regrets, aside from not having the physical cases/manuals the games came with that is.

DKR,CTR, S&ASRT: All these games took the formula from MK and improved upon it in terms of track design, character rosters and music imo, but yet MK still gets heralded as the best kart racer among them and I honestly can't understand why other than nostalgia.

To me, the Switch is just an early concept of what hybrid gaming could be, but it's still got a long way to go in terms of running AAA, third-party games which Steam Deck is beating them by a wide mile in that area; but if I had to pick a goty for Switch it would probably be Metroid Prime Remastered.

Still holding out for Diddy Kong. The fact the little guy hasn't been added to the roster yet is just criminal.

It's a shame these icons are locked behind the NSO subscription model. Would've liked to have some of these icons to play around with on my account.

Game Builder Garage saddens me: here we have an interesting IP with loads of potential for updates to the engine to help this game flourish with tons of shared content to boot from players around the world, but as always, like with Nintendo's other one-offs, they just let it sit and rot with no mention of it again, whatsoever and with no new content to add at all.

Ah, so I see JSR is receiving the same treatment as F-zero where the IP hasn't had a game in years and is only being used in cameos to boost the player count.

As much as I appreciate these new tracks, I'd like to hear at least some news on whether or not Nintendo is working on another entry in the series that really shows what the Switch hardware is capable of.

Meh, I don't really use my steam deck for emulation anyway. Already have the Odin Pro for PS2 & Gamecube and the Retroid Pocket 2 Plus for everything else. Ya gotta educate yourself on this stuff, people.
