If any Smash game needed a remaster or a port, my money is on Smash for the 3DS. Mainly because of the Smash Run mode that felt closest to a SSE mode that we've ever gotten compared to Ultimate.
Brawl is sorely overlooked considering it had the most single player content out of all the Smash games which Ultimate is sorely lacking, especially the erasure of trophies, missing modes like target test and masterpieces, and no number of characters or stages can change that fact.
Another reason why preservation of the original work of the game developers is important, so that generations to come will know of their hard work and that it won't be snuffed out by corporations who don't care.
I can understand the devs wanting Marian to learn martial arts to defend herself and she's a great inclusion in the game, but did they have to turn her in to a man with a woman's face? Like seriously tone down the muscles.
Online play will be suspended for violations of Nintendo's Community Guidelines including if we detect fraudulent behavior such as save data manipulation.
Oh no, it's not like people would hack the game in order to get past the awful requirement to play online in order to get all the items randomly. Who would have thought, right?
I can almost guarantee all these "improved stability" updates are to combat exploits/mods and nothing else. I'd be more than glad for someone to prove me wrong though because from what I've seen from being an early adopter of the Switch until now, I can't think of another reason why the console is so barren when it comes to ui quality than that reason alone
Honestly would've preferred SotN to Dracula x in the Advanced Collection and not just because Dracula X is a horrible game but also it would've rounded out the gba trilogy out more nicely considering it's a metroidvania like the other titles and would've fit in better imo.
I mean, nothing really surprises me after the game launched with horrible net code that constantly disconnects you from online matches for no reason even if you have good wifi, so this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Yeah, so remind why we're paying Nintendo more money for the deluxe service again?
Oh yeah, for the slow drip-feed of n64 and Sega games and nothing else.
I hate beating a dead horse but if this game can run near flawlessly on Switch hardware, as big and diverse as its mechanics are, then I honestly can't understand why the Kingdom Hearts Collection (excluding 3) can't run natively on the hardware as well.
Also, while I'm fully aware that Square lost the original code for the ps2 versions, that really only makes me question why they didn't do a better job at preserving the original code for those games since all it does is give people all the more reason to pirate them.
A shame, I had never played the original and heard a lot of good things about it. If it's anything like Ikaruga but with rpg mechanics, then I'm sure it'll be amazing once it's back up on the eshop
I'm sorry, but what's with the look of the outfits? These look like something an edgy kid in middle school that works at Hot Topic would wear, not grown adults.
Always good to see Nintendo have their priorities straight as always and still not doing anything to improve the Eshop stability problem because that'd be silly.
So, is Nintendo going to focus all their resources on the MK8 dlc or on Mk Tour? Because I'm afraid that dividing the dev team up is only going to cause more Mario Sports levels of rush and that's something I'm sure we all don't want to see.
Unfortunately, you're more than likely correct. Once again Nintendo fails to see the forest though the trees and while they try to fight emulation and pleasing their legal team, they ignore the more important matter of making sure their customer base is satisfied ie their online service.
If anyone has ever wondered why people would rather emulate and download ROM files than purchasing those same items using the official store front or by using a subscription service, look no further than examples like this one.
Instead of these meager distributions, Game freak needs to be putting all their Resorces and attention into Pokémon Violet and Scarlet. Especially since they both have a planned release date of this year which doesn't give them much time.
@ArcticEcho I do hope you're right. It's a shame to because I was enjoying the base game up until the skill check that appears after you fight the arachnid boss in the hollow in I think chapter 5? Seriously though, these need to be tied to chests and side quests and NOT story progression.
If I were Nintendo, I'd be more concerned about working on my public image and regaining customer as well as my fan's good will than I would about a game getting leaked a day early, but that's just me. Also, time zones exist for a reason
Meh, I'll still wait on reviews before purchasing this one. To many other of Nintendo's sports games on Switch have already left enough of an empty feeling at launch, don't want to continue encouraging that behavior.
As much as I didn't care for some of the sexualized blade designs (that includes the male blades as well btw), that's not what I'm most concerned about XB3.
No, what I'm more concerned about is the return of the field skill checks in XB2 making a return, mainly because it was nothing more than tedious padding that prevented you from proceeding further in the story and before someone points out the merc missions, keep in mind those were not available at launch which unfortunately I quit the game by then.
Now if only some of that so called 'stability' went in to making the eshop functional so that it doesn't lag every time we want to switch to a different tab in the menu and throw in some actual music while they're at it and put in a background as well.
As someone who just finished playing all 8 of the new courses, I have to say these are the most boring and uninspired tracks I've ever played in a Mario Kart game, and I honestly feel cheated out of $25; The only track that really felt interesting was Choco Mountain, but the others are basic tracks with hardly any ramps, no anti-gravity sections and the visuals, as stated before looking worse in person.
Do yourselves a favor and please don't waste your money on this embarrassment of a season pass.
@zbinks Even so, the punitive damage amount in this particular case is grossly excessive for a single individual to pay back and such excessive rulings have been overturned in the supreme court for that reason.
While I do agree that Bowser should serve some time along with a correct and balanced fine for damages done as stated in the Constitution, I however do NOT agree with the amount to be extracted in the fine in this matter.
There's this little thing in the Constitution called the Excessive Fines Clause that limits the government's power to extract payments, whether in cash or in kind, as punishment for an offense and this is definitely a violation of that clause considering the fine amount for piracy is $250,000 which is what he should have been charged with.
This is a clear violation of the Constitution and Bowser's rights and both Nintendo and the DOJ need to be held accountable, since this is nothing more than them making an example out of him and has nothing to do with their bottom line or upholding their rights.
HarmoKnight, the Pushmo games, the Denpa Men trilogy, Dillon's Rolling Western, Attack of the Friday Monsters!, Ketzel's Corridors, the Dsiware games; I could go on.
And not one of these games has a sequel or port on the Switch. GG Nintendo.
I have a feeling the Steam Deck and other handheld emulators are about to become more popular in the next few days, if not already as of now.
Seriously though, Nintendo as a company is completely tone deaf to their customers/fans and unlike Sony, I doubt they'll backtrack on their decision, despite the backlash; I'd love to be proven wrong though.
