This right here is the reason why I mainly stick to video reviews as opposed to written ones as written reviews, especially from biased sites like Famitsu, have little to no important information and is more or less to inflate the writers own ego as to whether or not “they” enjoyed the games as opposed to if it’s worth their readers time or not.

@Debo626 my guy, this has nothing to do with entitlement, this has everything to do with business ethics and the fact that a pandemic is currently happening.

It is in no way “childish” to call a company out on anti-consumer practices because as the old saying goes, “the squeaky wheel gets the oil.” There is nothing wrong with giving a dissenting opinion on a big company’s decisions even if you personally don’t agree with it because that’s a how free society works.

Also, the argument that ‘it would require more work’ is one of the flimsy excuses I’ve heard, both for the 3D All-Stars Collection and here. Nintendo is one of the largest companies in Japan that rack in over one billion dollars a year. Do you really think they can’t afford to do some HD work on some of their older ports, or is it because they know that they don’t have to because people will buy them anyway?

@tzahn And how was I factually incorrect? Most people don't consider a slightly up-scaled, that anyone with an emulator can do and better, picture quality an enhancement, at least not enough to garner such an outrageous price increase

Also, just because it's normal does not mean it isn't anti-consumer.

But do you think a port of a 10 year old game is worth $60 when you can buy the original on the wii u eshop for $20?

The only thing this Direct showed me was how anti-consumer Nintendo as a company has become with ports of their 5-10+ yr old games.

It is if that game is being re-sold at full price with no enhancements made to the game like we saw with the Mario 3D All-Stars Collection when you could get those games, as well as SS, at a cheaper price of $19.99 separately on the Wii-U eshop (except for Sunshine) with the exact same functionality that is in the collection minus the widescreen, more control options and a few bells and whistles that don't effect gameplay much at all.

Stop defending anti-consumer practices, guys; Nintendo-senpai does not love you.

I really wish we would’ve gotten a Zelda 3D Collection. It definitely would’ve softened the blow on the retail price of $60 and added more value.

Of course knowing Nintendo, they’ll release TP and WW separately at full price each and release OoT and MM in a duology at the same price.🙄

Field Skills in XBC2 are a great example of bad grind. If I can’t progress in the story because I don’t have a specific blade with a specific field skill that I need to grind in order progress the main story instead of a side mission, that’s when I feel it’s gone too far

Bandai really have set the standard of what Pokémon games should look like on a home console; unlike TPC and GameFreak.

@abbyhitter the difference is that Eternatus didn’t have any buildup,like,at all and the battle, while it was interesting in the first half of the battle, was completely made null when the two legends showed and the happy music started playing and you were basically just watching an interactive cutscene.

Compare that to Giratina, where you see it appear from a dimensional rift, shrouded in a black silhouette, grab Cyrus and pulls him into its world and then you go to its domain, you see it in the background, watching you, then when you finally encounter it, you hear this loud, unworldly cry and the battle starts, and unlike SWSH, there is no one to help you in this battle and you will lose if you’re not prepared.

It'd be nice to play a pokemon game that had REAL tense and scary atmosphere along with great lore that gen 4 had and isn't all sunshine and rainbows like SW&SH was.

Okay, but what if Mario could shoot a hadoken? 🤔
