Re: Nintendo Blocks Another 2,200 Videos On YouTube Featuring Its Music

SeantheDon29

@nocdaes Yet you don't have any evidence that he is monetizing those videos elsewhere and just have baseless accusations. Try having actual evidence before you make assumptions of someone's character next time.

1. Imagine music not being a source of revenue for your company so leaving it alone doesn't affect your bottom line in the slightest

2. Youtube is the largest video media website on the internet so why wouldn't you want your content on there for free publicity?

3. Imagine this thing called fair use existing in modern time that says that as long as you give full credit to the original creator of said content, you can upload that content and the original creators can even monetize from the video via copyright strike without taking it down.

@Pod I wouldn't say the issue is fans not complying with US and Japan copyright guidelines, but more of Japan not complying with the US copyright guidelines. The many times Nintendo has taken people to court and lost due to a blatant ignorance of how US copyright law works is staggering, and it goes to show how out of touch the executives are with laws outside of their own country.

Let's be honest with ourselves, this is nothing more than Nintendo flexing their corporate muscles against so-called "piracy" because they have the power to do so and have done so since the beginning, even though it has never, at any time, affected their bottom line in the slightest and praising them for this sort of short-sighted behavior is nothing short of corporate brainwashing.

Re: Random: Nintendo Shows Switch Owners How To Delete Games, Uses Super Mario Bros. 35 As An Example

SeantheDon29

It's almost as if Nintendo thinks their player base are nothing but stupid toddlers who can't operate a game controller.

Not only is this this tweet insulting to my intelligence personally, but as others have stated, is pouring salt in the wound with the game they obviously chose to demonstrate with.

Sometimes I honestly wish that NOJ would sell all their assets to NOA and go back to being a card company.

Re: 'Pandemic' Will Apparently Be Removed From The Switch eShop This July

SeantheDon29

Some people can't take a joke.

Why can't we make fun of a virus or current event that's happening? Is it possible that joking about it helps ease the tension of the situation and possibly help people find some light during this outbreak; or do people care more about virtue signaling and pretending that they're speaking for the minority when they don't even know what those people are going through, rather than letting those people have some joy once in a while?

This generation is truly hopeless if it fails to understand the point of comedy in its purest form without being deeply offended by it.

Re: Review: SNK VS. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash - An Utterly Essential Card-Battler

SeantheDon29

Card Fighters Clash along with Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission are some of the most fun I've had with card games in a long time being that they're both easy to understand, matches aren't decided on the luck of the draw (at least not in world missions' case) and don't require a 12th lvl intellect to understand the mechanics like some card games where a match can end in one turn all because you didn't draw the right card you needed on your turn or even worse, you didn't win the coin toss. cough Yugioh cough

Re: Soapbox: 2022 Is Looking Glorious For Tactics Games On Switch

SeantheDon29

while I am happy for people who enjoy tactics style games, I am concerned of the lack of first party titles for the year because unless we get more information on Prime 4 and BoTW 2; Kirby, Pokemon and a couple of spin-offs aren't going to hold players attentions for long and it's going to be up to indies to keep things going until another Direct is announced.

Re: Best Of 2021: Retro Nintendo Games Cost Too Much, But Nostalgia Is Expensive

SeantheDon29

This is the prime reason we're seeing so many retro consoles pop up as of late ala the Steam Deck, GP-XP and the AYN Odin; there's a high demand in the gaming market for retro classics on consoles like gamecube and Ps2 and these manufacturers know that and it's why they're striking the iron now while it's hot with these beefy portables and they know that customers will eat them up because they know that people are not going to pay outrageous prices on second hand websites and they're tired of waiting for the main publishers to release them on a digital store front.

It's quite brilliant, actually.

Re: Yes, Saints Row IV Is 93% Off And No, It's Not A Mistake

SeantheDon29

It's a fun game up until you get to the Pierce rescue mission where you need to fight Paul, after which the game gets stuck in an infinite loading screen, and it doesn't save after you complete the mission.

To release a game, even a port, in this day and age with all the old bugs and glitches*cough* Skyrim cough still intact is just plan cynicism from the developers and publishers and it needs to be called out more often than not.

Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate's Spirit And Tournament Events Appear To Be Winding Down

SeantheDon29

@The-Chosen-one heck, I would've been happy if they would've brought Smash Run from 4 back with more stages and enemies from other Nintendo franchises.

I mean, let's face facts: WOL was nothing more than a giant, glorified Smash Tour map with Event Matches for the spaces and nothing anyone can say will convince me otherwise and it certainly doesn't compare to what SSE was.

Re: Rumour: Switch Online Datamine Uncovers Plans For "At Least" 38 N64 Games And 52 Sega Genesis Titles

SeantheDon29

Mischief Makers better make it to the service.

I'm already salty that I gave in and paid for the expansion pass and just as I feared, it's a vastly mediocre upgrade, both in emulation quality and online functionality and I can only assume that the executives at NoJ have either lost their minds or gone completely tyrannical at even thinking that the pricing was fair for this product at launch.

Re: Random: Forget Dread, It's All About Metroid: Other M On Twitter Right Now

SeantheDon29

While I will agree that the combat was somewhat intriguing; everything else from the writing, lack of exploration even by Metroid Fusions standards, voice direction, environments, music direction, spot the clue sections, slow walking sections, and general lack of isolation overall isn't what most people, including me, think of when we think of Metroid and the sales as well as fan backlash shows that.

And that's not even counting the game breaking glitch that locks a certain door in the pyro sector that you need to progress and forces you to reset your game file.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

SeantheDon29

@DennisNOR what people like you don't seem to understand is that unlike Nintendo, other game services that cost $50+ actually have good benefits such as stable online connection, native voice chat and new games that come out each month as part of that paid service, unlike Nintendo who hasn't upgraded their online since the Switch launched in 2017.
