@VoidofLight you do know emulation isn’t piracy, right?
You’re literally taking the game file on the cartridge that you bought and dumping it on pc.
Now if it were a ROM, that’d be a whole new argument but automatically equating emulation to piracy is just willful ignorance and that’s exactly what publishers like Nintendo are counting on.
I really think the devs should’ve increased the shine spark duration in order to make some of these collectibles more manageable.
Ferenia’s Missile+ 2 for example requires you to have pixel perfect understanding of how the shine spark mechanic works by not only approaching from the entrance of Ferenia, but also requires you to wall jump, go into morph ball, slide all the way into a smaller room on the left and then go back into the morph ball and press up in order to get the expansion in the upper middle area.
And you have to do all this while making sure you’re maintaining your shinespark on top of making sure the area is clear of enemies, lest one of them knocks you out of the shinespark and the attempt ends in failure.
I can't remember what redditor's comment I read said, but he basically summarized my thought on the shinespark perfectly in that it should be used to find cool secrets, rather than being a requirement for 100% completion.
This is literally no different than paying for a GAAS like Destiny 2 except there is already an offline version of these collections that already exist on weaker hardware, therefore there is simply no excuse for this to exist except Square's lack of self-awareness of what their fans want, plus a lack of laziness to boot.
Hey, at least we still have the rhythm game, right guys?
Seriously, way to go Square, hyping everyone up with the Sora as a smash reveal and then completely demolish that hype with this cloud version collection when you could have just as easily ported the ps3 version on the Switch, no problem.
I never really got the appeal of sports games in general to be honest: They're all basically the same game, just with slightly changed rosters every few months or so.
People here are talking about who the last character is going to be, but I’m more curious if Sakurai is going to add in one more mode, considering he said that home-run contest was “pretty much going to be the last new mode.”🤔
If anyone is really on the fence on buying the collection, I suggest you watch a video review, since you can actually see the gameplay in action and then make the right judgement on whether it's worth your time or not.
Though I do have a few gripes about the game, those being the lack of trophies, lack of returning bosses from SSE and lack of a proper adventure mode, I can’t deny that the game is pretty good overall. Gg Sakurai
Mischief Makers was truly a gem on the N64. From the music, environments and cast, it really had a magical feel to it that just can’t be described by words alone and as someone that beat MM, I’d love for a chance to play it again.
So basically, " we don't really want to make a new game in the series, so we're going to put the blame on the fans for not asking enough for it even though they clearly have been."
@Snatcher You don't even know the half of it, friend. I couldn't even make it past the second world of the game because of how bored I was. Do yourself a solid and save your money either on one of the earlier Kirby titles or wait for a steep drop in retail price if your really interested.
@Snatcher Well, considering it launched unfinished with barely any content, 'free dlc' that was spoon fed to us in over just one year despite being full price, the fact that the game had little to zero difficulty, even for a Kirby game, thanks to the buddy mechanic which is required to even progress in the game at certain points.
Don't get me wrong, I like Kirby games, KD3 being my favorite, but SA was a huge step down in quality from his previous titles and it just felt rushed at launch.
Maybe Nintendo will finally give us this mystical and unheard thing that most consoles already have called the ‘internet browser’. gaspshockhorrorlighting crackle😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
I’d be up for a port of SF:Zero if Miyamoto was given strict orders to keep his mouth shut on the Switch controls implementation.
Seriously though, the game would have likely sold better on Wii U if not for Miayamotos insistence of making it just another tech demo for the touch pad, which is why Nintendo Land existed in the first place.

Re: Nintendo's Switch Exclusive Metroid Dread Is Already Being Emulated On PC
@VoidofLight and like I said, That’s a different argument and should indeed be condemned.
Just remember to differentiate the to.

@TechaNinja then you’ll love the run boots in CoTM
Re: Soapbox: What Makes A Game A Good Metroidvania Anyway?
@TechaNinja oh trust me, it is. The only real difficult or should I say annoying thing about Aria is the soul collecting.
Re: Soapbox: What Makes A Game A Good Metroidvania Anyway?
What makes a good Metroidvania?
1. Don’t be Harmony of Dissonance in terms of backtracking.
2. Make difficult abilities like the Shinespark be only necessary to find secrets and not required for 100% completion.

I wonder if Nintendo is going to sue the entirety of the internet eventually for all these leaks?
