Aside from the shiny versions of Dialga and Palkia, this is completely devoid of new content. Even the community day event is a repeat.
Though they've kept secret what to expect after August 20th, so it might be something significant.
@RupeeClock lot of other new shinies though. including regionals. And we have no idea yet what the event after august 25 will hold. That one is probably hoopa?
@RupeeClock Yeah, but Eevee is a great choice for a repeat. It's hugely popular and has several evolutions. This will be great for collectors who didn't get enough the first time around and for newer players looking for their faves.
Shiny Eevee’s incoming! Can’t wait 😍
I'm happy about the Eevee repeat, I was missing one more shiny to be able to get a shiny Sylveon.
5 Star Raids are rubbish for me though. Nobody around where I live does them, so it's basically adding a Pokemon I can't get.
@Heavyarms55 @Friendly
Sure, nothing wrong with having repeats, lets players catch up.
For long-time players, there's not much to get excited about in this specific news post, but I'm aware that there's more going on than what's featured here.
I have no interest in this game, but I will never forget being on vacation at the beach when it released in 2016... I didn't know about it and I was so confused why everyone was walking around with their phones out and talking about Pokemons.
Still going after 5 years is impressive...
I'm happy Dialga (one of my favs) and Palkia are up for 5* raids. They haven't been in the raid rotation since before I started playing. And I'm grateful for the Eevee event since it'll help me finish out my shiny Eevee collection; I only have shiny Leafeon and Umbreon right now. I'll take the East Sea Shellos too.
Really, the only disappointment is the research breakthrough reward. Chimecho? I miss when the rewards could be legendaries....
Been a long time player, that loved the game, but its coming more and more apparent that Niantic does not care that they make a good game, just cash in the money. Even the last YEAR the actual new content is minimal, but new ways to spend money is greater than ever.
@Ogbert You can easily get the Legendaries as a Go Battle League reward if you don't have people to raid with.
@Ogbert
Use the Go Trainer Chat app in conjunction with your remote raid passes. That’s what I do.
@Rob3008 didn't know about those things will give them a go thanks!
@FatWormBlowsASparky Sounds like that involves talking to randoms in my area? Will pass on that one but I appreciate the tip all the same thank you! (I usually do remote raids because of the pandemic anyway)
@Ogbert
Hey there. It’s world wide and no talking thankfully. You join a group and the leaders friend code is automatically copied to you. Add them to your friend list and they invite everyone to the raid. Simples. ☺️
