@Bizzyb The Switch 1 version runs at 720p, not 1080p. I do agree that 810p variable at 30 fps sounds like a terrible Switch 2 optimization job though

I've been playing this a decent amount today, I wouldn't call it buttery smooth but the jump from 30 FPS to 60 is very noticeable and appreciated! A resolution bump on top of that would be awesome but I'm not getting my hopes up too high

I've spent "80 hours or more" according to my Switch 2 and I'd still give the game a 9 as I would've at launch, albeit a lower 9 than before. There's so much amazing stuff in the game and the lesser content can mostly be ignored in my case...or at least it could've been before the update. My most played mode by far is online races, which isn't an option in the second poll so I voted VS Race which is the closest alternative

MK8D still holding on like this is fascinating.

BTW @JimNorman The Switch OLED should be above the Switch Lite in the hardware ranking

@TheExile285 NBA 2K25 was 59.2 GB on the Switch 1, file sizes this huge are the norm for 2K games

@Ulysses Each generation of Pokémon has been made for the newest handheld at the time of its release (Gen 5 started before the 3DS launched in Japan), so the odds of Gen 10 being Switch 2 exclusive are pretty high imo

Since there's no reward beyond placing top three in a cup in this game, I decided to go three stars or bust. I've managed it for all the 150cc cups and rallies, but Mirror Mode might be a bit much. Even the Mushroom Cup was destroying me when I tried for the first time

@somnambulance I'm pretty sure you can get stars in multiplayer; IIRC I got three stars on the Ice Rally while playing with someone else
