And here I am entirely content that the grass starters are no longer reptilian.

It's harder to figure out what its final evo is so that's kinda fun

Sobble seems a bit too simple to me, but it's grown on me more than Grookey, that's for sure

I usually pick a favorite based on all of their evolutions. Grookey becomes a Green DK? That'd bump him up a bit. Scorbunny turns in a jacked Trix rabbit? That's a huge plus. Sobble becomes Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid (complete with voice actor)? Then I'd definitely have a favorite. Sobble could even live on through his arm when the devs run out of ideas.

It's fine like all the starters in this gen, I don't think any of them is particularly above or below the others this time around. Honestly I'm having trouble deciding who I would like to pick, might very well just let luck decide.

I really love Sobble. Although that might be because it reminds me of a certain other Pokemon

Scorbunny is lame af. Grookey is cool, I Hope sobble evolves into a big old newt, that would be sick. For once I actually quite like more than one of the starters!

@R_Champ if that bunny even looks anything like the trix rabbit in his final evolution I'm picking him but will have to wait until i see evolutions for all Pokemon to see who am I gonna choose and I wish they wouldn't always have fire water and grass as starters in every game kinda annoying why not have a ghost starter or a thunder type Pokemon hell even an ice type or even a psychic type wish they would change up instead of always having the 3 basic water fire grass

I'll just wait how the evolutions are gonna be. Fennekin started great too before becoming a huge disappointment

Grookey was my starter even before he started hitting that rock with his stick.

I'm desperately hoping the final evos of these Pokemon are better. I'm not really a fan of any of the base forms. Just in case, here's hoping they put at least a few cool new Pokemon in the early areas, where I can get them early enough to matter. I'm tired of having to play 2/3 of the game before they start popping up, and I have my team already set up. Also hoping they up the variety that can be found.

I’m waiting for a look at the final evolutions before making a choice of which starter is best, since the vast majority of the time they are their final evolution.

In SM/USUM, Popplio was my least favourite starter, but Primarina is my favourite final evolution of the starters, so again, i’ll wait with judging before i know how they “grow up” :3

Grookey seems like he'd have a gorilla-ish evo. Scorbunny will likely become something rabbit/hare related, but I'm intrigued to know what reptilian evo ol' Sob-face will become

Lets go sobble squad! This will technically be my first adventure with a water type as the star of the show since my first adventure, pokemon diamond version.

@Abeedo - Yeah, I didn't state that it started now, just that it hasn't been (and by extension, gone back to).

I'm leaning towards scorbunny, however it's really going to come down to their final evolutions to decide since you'll probably spend more time with final evolution than the others.

As it should be.

I think for me it'll be between Grookey and Scorbunny. I'll have to see what their evolutions look like. But I love the design of Grookey, and historically I usually choose fire types. So we'll see. Ideally I'll be able to get all 3 starters in some way.

The evolutions will ultimately decide it for me, but I'm still learning towards Scorbunny. #FireTypes

My starters are always Fire dont know why?
maybe because of charmander that was my first Pokemon, charizard is still my all time nr1. Lol

I like Scorbunny the most, but Sobble's not bad. I hate Grookey and don't know why though.

i like all of these starters but i just cant picture myself not picking grass i see him becoming grass steel or grass dark then scourbunny will be fire/ground or fire/electric and i see sobble being water/fighting or just staying water
