That’s the day of the DK port but this guy has been pretty accurate when talking about Direct reveal timing so I think he could be right about this.

How about the first mainline 3D Kirby happening? I thought that was a huge moment for Switch.

Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime 4, and RPG Paper Mario (even though it was a remake) finally happening after so long were pretty Switch defining as well.

Also, Mario Odyssey was a huge miss not to put on this list, and a 2D Mario that wasn’t a part of the “New” sub-series was insane considering it’s been since Gameboy.

The Switch 1 game boxes seem almost exactly the same size as the Switch screen, so maybe Switch 2 game boxes will be about as big as the Switch 2 screen?

I’m more interested in 1st party games. Hoping Nintendo makes an announcement soon, I’d rather Nintendo do that part than the leaks.

There’s more leaks for Switch 2 than Mario and Luigi can handle!

The rumored measurements don't seem too big. I just don't want the next console to be much bigger than that.

When Nintendo finally reveals the thing I hope we have more of a focus on software in the initial trailer, because we seemingly already know most things about the hardware

I started listening to some of the songs and I forgot how good they were! Not as good as the first 2 DKC OSTs but still some of the best on SNES!

I already wasn’t a huge fan of Pokemon but this gives me absolutely no hope we’ll ever get to a good game any time soon

I honestly am not a huge fan of modern Minecraft as it now feels more a paid F2P micro-transaction game (thanks to Microsoft). Idk who this person is, but I think older Minecraft is so much better.

Super Mario Bros 40th anniversary celebrations will likely be big, can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Paper Mario 25th is also pretty cool, doubt we’ll get anything, but I would love to see a remake of that game or a new entry like it!

So Paper Mario TTYD on Switch having 4K in the code might have some credibility!

Super Mario 64 is a great game with a great OST, it took a lot longer than it should’ve to be added, but glad to have it now!

For me, TTYD is the best Switch game this year (and my personal favorite Switch game of all time). I hope the next Paper Mario is even half as good!

Merry Christmas everyone! I’m not sure what I’ll play this weekend, but I played some Wario’s Woods recently and it’s a really fun puzzle game, so maybe I’ll play that!

I mean there's almost no doubt this thing will absolutely crush the next xbox in terms of sales, but I could see it being a little closer with PS6. sony pretty much only relies on power, and you can only get so powerful. PS6 could certainly be a small/expensive upgrade and many consumers may not find it worth getting (especially if it doesn't have many exclusives similar to PS5). I think Switch 2 will beat the other consoles on the market fairly easily, but not sure by how much.

Personally I don't think Mario Kart is going to be the launch title and am therefore skeptical of this rumor. Doesn't seem very trustworthy to me.

This seems like it’d be significantly faster than Switch, which is fine by me. I don’t really know how helpful this is if it just supports these SD cards, but I’m down for these really fast times!

Wave Race 64 before Mario 64 or Mario Kart 64 🤔

I’m a huge fan of the DKC series, but I won’t be getting this. I could get the identical game for literally 1/4th of the price for 3DS, and I won’t have to wait until release date. Nintendo needs to spend time making a new DKC instead of selling this game for a 3rd time since Wii!

TTYD is awesome and the WarioWare games on Switch are also really good.

Hopefully we get a really good Paper Mario for Switch 2, with some of the team being these new recruits!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is easily GOTY even though it’s a remake.

Nintendo should buy it and mainly just make Mario + Rabbids games and perhaps some Rayman as well! They need new leadership and direction, and I’m sure Nintendo would give them both of those things.

I hope we get it soon, I haven’t been able to play through it but there was this fun multiplayer side mode I played once.

This is like Pikmin where a huge portion of the sales come from Japan. This seems probably around 2/3 of the sales in Japan (I could be wrong though, since we only have physical sales from there)

@MrPeanutbutterz You keep removing context from what I'm saying. PS2 does have a popular game library, I'm just saying that's not where a lot of that 160 million sales came from. Arguably a pretty good way to get people to get a video game console, and perhaps some people who have never played video games got their first ones! Please don't call others opinions invalid, they are perfectly valid using more context and less assumptions.

@MrPeanutbutterz I think they had more personality back in the PS1 days, but as of recent a lot of what they are putting out is generic. I think saying they revolutionized gaming is a bit of a stretch. More likely they revolutionized watching movies for cheap on the 'gaming' console PS2.

I'm kind of glad this never happened, Sony is a pretty generic company and I wouldn't want that effecting the Nintendo games.

Ubisoft has done many game decisions which weren't good, I feel bad for those affected by this but this studio probably isn't a great environment. Hate to see how the gaming industry has been hurt this year by layoffs.
