Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Won't Support Pokémon Global Link

As someone who actually used the service to get Pokemon team codes it is pretty slow and annoying. This is mostly bad news for the 3DS games losing functionality when they shut it down. No loss for Sword & Shield as long as they port features over, especially if they make them native or improve them.

Re: Soapbox: To Me, Mario Maker 2 Is Nintendo's Best, And Most Disappointing, Sequel Ever

The game did just come out so they'll be making some updates I'm sure.

For people that don't find building or playing other people's levels enjoyable, the game probably isn't for you. For people that do like those things well there you go.

But don't mind me, I'm still stuck with the first game (which I really liked) and it just feels like people aren't appreciating the added content.

Re: It Seems You Can't Play Against Friends Online In Super Mario Maker 2

I was really disappointed to find out that there would be no local multiplayer without using separate consoles... that is until today, when it was confirmed that you actually CAN play local with just one system. So I empathize with everyone upset about no online play with friends.

The funny thing is no one was really expecting this until they confirmed online play, so they just set themselves up to disappoint. Poor communication from Nintendo.

Re: It Looks Like Super Mario Maker 2 Will Include Same-Screen Multiplayer

I'm annoyed that it has to be some mystery whether the game has it or not. I was looking forward to this feature only to be disappointed with the direct seemingly deconfirming it. And even now it's still only speculative, for all we know it could be for some mode they haven't shown off yet, or story mode, or even local 4 players building only. Come on now Nintendo, this is something that could motivate people to buy the game... and we could be setting ourselves up for disappointment again.

Only reason I can see for them hiding it is so people still buy NSMBU.

Re: Super Famicom Logo In Super Mario Maker 2 Has Fans Speculating

@Toads-Friend The costumes being locked behind (often unavailable) amiibo was not fun to me. I have about 5 amiibo and unlocking the rest through Expert challenges was not something I would enjoy. I wouldn't be surprised if they saw many not unlocking the costumes and made some sort of change.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 8.0.0 Is Now Live

I've pretty much decided to be satisfied with the addition of the YouTube app. Waiting/hoping for Nintendo to add any more utility to the Switch is not something I'm interested in any longer. I just accept it as it is, if we get more, then that's great.

Re: A Splatoon 2 Demo Has Just Launched On Switch, Includes Free Online Trial And Money Off Full Game

@Grumblevolcano I think Nintendo just has a roughly 2 year limit on post game launch support. Mario Kart Wii is the first game I can think of which had post launch support with the tournaments, after a while they just started recycling them.

I would prefer for them to keep doing them for longer. I just recently got the game and the newest Splatfest was my first one ever. I played the first game as well but the Splatfests were long over, it's clear they really add to the game.

Re: Fortnite Players On Switch Will No Longer Be Matched With Xbox One And PS4 Cross-Play Parties

First of all this article could've done a better job of explaining this is only for solo queuing and doesn't stop you from playing with your friends.

Second, on certain mobile devices you can play in 60fps and you can also use a controller. So some mobile players can compete with the Switch actually. Article didn't touch on that either.

Finally, find it funny people calling the first comment childish as if all of the other hate bandwagon comments aren't childish as well. And look how many likes it got haha! I've become desensitized to it at this point. 🤣
