@ottoecamn, exactly this! I saw this mentioned in the upcoming Switch games thread. I was... not happy, to say the least. Reminded me of that situation with Hyperdimension Neptunia last year that caused me to get a used PS4 just to play those games.
Switch: Animal Crossing New Horizons: going to dump some more time into this one to celebrate the upcoming launch of the January 2026 update. I'll probably also let my younger sister play more with my supervision. PS4: Super Neptunia RPG: all of my party members are now in the early 40s in terms of level. I'm just grinding experience and doing a few sidequests before moving on with the story. Current number of trophies: 21
Happy for Hyrule Warriors, it looks like a really good game. Happy for Z-A and Mario Kart World, and especially happy that the Switch 1 version of Dragon Quest outsold the GKC Switch 2 version 😀.
@Willo567, I was considering getting it digitally (because potential dlc) back when it was first announced (I actually don't mind $70 games at all), but since I'm once again starting to become unsure about Switch 2 (for a few different reasons), whether I eventually purchase this game or not is now up in the air compared to the guaranteed purchase that it was before.
It's just that a lot of the hype I had prior has kind of just been drained from me in one fell swoop.
Interesting... I wonder how much it costs, and if it plays any physical games, and if I can play Steam games offline... I've been looking at getting into Steam, but that was before this summer's adult game censorship from Visa and Mastercard started, so... 🤔
@Zuljaras, wait a sec... I've also been really looking into GoG lately. If I get that cube console thing, I could play Neptunia games from GoG on the TV?! 🤯
It's a good choice for a comfort game, I love TotK, even though most of my machines are crap. These days, I love TotK more than BotW simply because it has more game content on the cartridge 😃.
Overall, it's pretty amazing. I do hope they fix the kinks for software like YouTube, Nier Automata, and as many other affected games as possible eventually.
These look pretty cool, and are actually pretty cheap for collectibles! I would personally prefer ducks based off of the Neptunia characters, but I know the series is way too niche... 😅
Hello again, y'all! In case you haven't been updated yet, I changed my name to consolidate more of my online accounts. Don't worry, I'm still the same old massive otaku person ShieldHero. Also, I've dropped Pokémon Sleep. Not because I hate it, but because I've gotten a lot more busy lately, and I can always resume it years down the line if I want to, assuming it still exists, since it's a mobile game. Now that I'm no longer doing that and Trading Card Game Pocket, my morning schedule is much less hectic, and I'm glad that is the case 😃. Anyway, this weekend I'm playing:
Switch: Animal Crossing New Horizons: I was originally going to put this game on hiatus after paying off the Harv's Island co-ops, but then I thought that with the new update coming out, I decided that now is actually the perfect time to dive back in for a few months. I've also let my younger sister play a bit with my supervision like we did a few times back in 2023 and 2024, and we've already increased the number of hours for ACNH on my profile by 10! Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: I recently completed my spirit collection (the last major thing I needed to do in the game), so now I have no particular reason to play this, but I might do a few online battles if I find the time to do so. Super Mario Maker 2: I'm going to be uploading another new level today after a two week break, most likely a short time after I post this comment. PS4: Super Neptunia RPG: This game has been taking up the bulk of my playtime lately. Since this was a library game and I have to return it soon, I purchased a digital copy on sale for $7.50. All of my party members are currently around level 30.
I've got no problem with people pirating and modding games that they have legally purchased, and doing it for older games that aren't produced anymore, or games that aren't released in their country because of government censorship or some other reason, but this dude got what he deserved.
@TheMule1983, that's the most absurd thing I have heard all day. There is nothing wrong with game streaming.
For me, it's the multiple slumber islands. Sometimes, my younger sister plays ACNH on my Switch docked to the TV with my supervision, and with some Joy-Cons that belong to the family's Switch (a different one than mine). If I let her use and play around with one of the slumber islands, she won't need my supervision as much since she won't be able to make changes to my actual island that way 🤣.
Nice to see Pokémon Legends Z-A sell well, though I did notice that Digimon Story Time Stranger is missing. Maybe if it gets a Switch 2 release it will sell more? 🤔
I already heard about this several hours ago. When I did, I breathed a sigh of relief. As much as I love Nintendo's games, especially Pokémon, this lawsuit had no reason to exist in the first place and was only going to stifle creativity in the game industry.
As much as I love Nintendo, I wanted them to lose this one.
For me, the Pokémon series has never just been "good enough", I genuinely love all the mainline games that I've played, especially during the Switch generation. Heck, Violet has been my favorite video game of all time since 2023. It may not have the best visuals of all time, but man, it is just so freaking fun to play.
I'm honestly disappointed that the "new Gen every three years" thing is ending. Ever since I really got into Pokémon during the early days of Gen 7, back when I first watched the Indigo League anime and played my mom's copy of Blue on the Game Boy Color. Ever since then, I've always looked forward to the new Gen every three years. Yes, I understand that incorporating better visuals and maker bigger games and all that jazz means longer development time, and based on leaks, Game Freak is definitely going to start making bigger Pokémon games going forward. I'll just miss having a new Gen every three years 😢.
Also, even though Pokémon is my favorite franchise, I do think that there is room for other Pokémon-like games to exist as well. Including Palworld: ever since the Palworld lawsuit began, I've had the belief that it is just dumb and shouldn't have happened in the first place.
I love that these remakes for DQ 1 and 2 are good, I will have to pass on them because I'm busy with other games, but I did enjoy DQ 3 Remake and I'm happy for anyone who does get to play this game.
And about potential changes that censor the game, if there are any like what supposedly happened with 3, that's disappointing to say the least 😢, I hate it when stuff like that happens. But still, even with potential stupid changes and though the Switch 2 "physical" is a Game Key Card, I do hope that people find some enjoyment with these games.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th November)
Hello again, y'all! This weekend I'm playing:
Switch:
Animal Crossing New Horizons: going to dump some more time into this one to celebrate the upcoming launch of the January 2026 update. I'll probably also let my younger sister play more with my supervision.
PS4:
Super Neptunia RPG: all of my party members are now in the early 40s in terms of level. I'm just grinding experience and doing a few sidequests before moving on with the story. Current number of trophies: 21
Re: Video: Nintendo Just Dropped Its Best (Worst?) Song Since DK Rap
I laughed the whole time! It definitely reminded me a bit of the DK Rap, albeit not as awesome.
Re: Review: Videoverse (Switch) - Miiverse-Inspired Visual Novel Is Beautifully Human
Sounds interesting, I love the Miiverse inspiration!
Re: Trails In The Sky 2nd Chapter Scheduled For 2026 Release
@SearchingS, unfortunately, the first one already skipped PS4 😢
Also, I've heard good things about the first one, so I want to play it someday since I'm a massive JRPG fan.

I'm happy for anyone who's still hyped though. 😀
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Reveals "Peculiar" New Forms In Extended 10-Minute Trailer
Game looks really promising, but GKC is a no. Fate really keeps telling me to just not get a Switch 2 as of late 😢.
Re: "We Would Rather Cut Off Our Own Arms" - Demonschool Studio Necrosoft Lets You Know What It Thinks About Using AI
Sounds good, I like a lot of art made by humans even though I don't mind AI art 😀.

"Dynasty Warriors: Origins' Major DLC Hits the Battlefield The Same Day As Switch 2"
So this DLC came out 5 months ago? 🤣 (I'm joking, obviously)
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Is Seemingly Nintendo's First Game-Key Card Release
I was probably going to get this game digitally eventually anyways because dlc, but... now I'm not so sure...
@Willo567, degrading is a completely different beast than not owning your purchases.
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Gets March 2026 Release Date, Brand New Trailer Coming This Week
Ooh, Pokopia has a release date now, that's nice-
GAME KEY CARD?! WHAT THE F***!!!
Re: Random: "It's Just My Comfort Game" - Stranger Things Actor Is On His Third Playthrough Of Zelda: TOTK

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment
Based on what I've seen of it, it looks like a 9 or 10 out of 10. Probably won't ever play it though, because I'm busy with other games 😅.

Leaving main story voices for an update? Kind of odd, if you ask me, but that's just my
two sense.Edit: I meant two cents 🤣

Nice to see Pokémon Legends Z-A sell well, though I did notice that Digimon Story Time Stranger is missing. Maybe if it gets a Switch 2 release it will sell more? 🤔
