Definitely getting the Switch 2 bundle for this sometime early next year now that my video game budget is more planned out. Since Pokémon is my favorite series ever, I'm definitely looking forward to this one. I'm willing to give the action RPG battle system a try (this will be my first action RPG btw).
Hello again, y'all! This weekend I'm playing: Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition: I collected the last orb, so I'm now heading to the First Forest to find the Yggdrasil Alter. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: still slowly collecting all the spirits, I only have about 25 left and all of them involve enhancing or summoning. Super Mario Maker 2: going to be uploading a new course today.
Plus the usuals: Pokémon Sleep Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket: since I'm soon going to be getting both a Switch 2 and a good used PS4 before the end of Spring 2026, I'm going to be dropping this one since I'm honestly not really doing anything with it besides collecting cards. This means that going forward, there will no longer be a "the usuals" section, since Pokémon Sleep (which I will continue to play) can just be listed with the others. So long, TCG Pocket! I'll never forget the memories I made with you, and if you still haven't been discontinued in a few years, I may pick you up again since you'll still be connected to my Nintendo Account!
"I would be curious to know how well the show is doing in the US so far on Netflix"
Netflix (at least in the US) has a daily top 10 ranking for things like TV shows and movies, and when new episode batches come out, they often rank very high on that ranking for at least a few days, if not over a week. So at least in the US, it's seemingly doing pretty well.
I'll definitely watch these via Pokéflix or Netflix when they release in the States! I've been loving Horizons, it's one of my favorite Pokémon animes of all time even when compared to the Ash seasons. I'll definitely buy DVDs of the series when they finally release.
Kind of disappointing that physical copies are no longer complete (though they weren't complete to begin with because dlc), but the first person view looks interesting. 😃 Though if I ever got this game (it's on my list of "get eventually if I have the time and money for it" games), it would be digitally because of dlc and updates.
I loved the first movie. Not the best plot in the world by a long shot, but it was just some humorous fun, well worth owning on Blu-Ray at some point. So you bet I'll be there for the second one! 😃
Nice to see some newer games like Galaxy (though it's also a rerelease so some might not think of it as "new"), Yotei, and Digimon in the charts! Digimon does look pretty good, and I say that as someone whose favorite franchise is Pokémon 🤣.
@cvrator, so people who made art using the same art style graphics during the Renaissance or whatever era shouldn't have happened because one person came up with it first? Because a lot of those paintings have very similar art styles and not all of them were made by the same person.
As long as it isn't straight up using the exact same copyrighted name as Animal Crossing (which it isn't), I see no problem with this game existing. Looks like a cheaper alternative for anyone who owns a Playstation and not a Switch but wants to play something kind of like Animal Crossing.
I haven't pre-ordered the game and am not going to, but this is one of the highest priority games I want to pick up next, especially since Pokémon is my favorite franchise.
These past two years, it's been three to four on average. So far this year, I've purchased / obtained:
Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition (for $20 while it was on sale)
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (though I was using my family's copy before) and its two fighter passes
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Among Us
Haven't bought a new game since May, and that was a birthday present. But as usual, I have a game in the number 1 spot on my Christmas list.
"At least Mario Kart World didn't try and milk you dry with DLC from pretty much day 1."
Amen. I've actually become more interested in Mario Kart World after seeing that Mario Kart World is still staying more of a complete game, and it's actually cheaper then Sonic Racing Crossworlds after its dlc. I'm still more interested in Kirby Air Riders more as of right now, but the idea of getting Mario Kart World several years down the line is growing on me (unless it starts getting a butt ton of expensive dlc).
EXCEPT FOR THE XENOBLADE GAMES, THIS IS THE SOUNDTRACK I MOST WANTED ON THE MUSIC APP. I KNOW WHAT MUSIC I'M LISTENING TO FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS... ON REPEAT.
Friendly reminder that the developer of the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series, Alphadream, went bankrupt back in 2019, the same year that Tokyo 2020 (which ended up being Tokyo 2021, but that's a story for another time) came out. There's always the possibility that the series gets picked up by another developer (like what happened with the Mario and Luigi series, also made by Alphadream, last year), but there's no guarantee that will happen. Not trying to be a negative Nancy, I'm just stating a fact.
Edit: I apologize, the comment below me is correct. My memory is a bit faulty sometimes. 🤕
Both of them look like pretty good games, but honestly, Kirby Air Riders looks more interesting to me. I will definitely get Mario Kart World several years down the line if it doesn't have any paid dlc (either digitally, or physically if there is a revision with all updates on the cartridge), but at least for now I still prefer 8 Deluxe. I'm skipping Sonic Racing Crossworlds: it's nice that the physical game is on the cartridge and not Game Key Card (actually physical, heck yeah!), but dang... 30 dollar season pass? How are people who complain about Mario Kart World not complaining about that? 🤣
I haven't played the games yet so I'll get them for sure someday... when though, is the question. There are still other games I would like to play first.
@ParsnipHero, fellow Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake player here, just beat the game this summer. One of the options in tactics at the start of every battle is "follow orders", in which you decide everything the party members do. You have to set it to "follow orders" for every individual party member though, if that is what you want. Hope this helps! 😃
Hello again, y'all! This weekend I'm playing: Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition: now that I have access to the whole ocean, I need to collect the orbs to get to Yggdrasil, I currently have 4 out of 6 orbs. Some people on this site convinced me to try out some older Metroid games, so I downloaded some new Nintendo Classics applications. If I have time today, I'll try that out. Plus the usuals: Pokémon Sleep Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket: just reached Player Level 40 earlier this week
Thanks for the replies, I do intend on trying out the series someday (the space theming always interested me) but my JRPGs keep me quite busy (and I don't have the NSO Expansion Pack, so the Game Boy Advance one is out of the question at least for now, though I might get the Expansion Pack for just one year in a few years so I can replay Ocarina of Time).
I actually haven't downloaded the SNES and Game Boy NSO apps yet (which I can get because I have regular NSO), maybe I should do that right now 🤣.
Proceeds to download those applications on the eShop
Watching those videos made me realize that Metroid game title screens are cool.
I've never played a Metroid game in my life except few minutes the original one on NES Nintendo Classics, sue me (I do like using Samus on Smash though).
Happy for all the games on there, including Atelier Resleriana! I love that JRPGs keep selling well in Japan so I can keep getting them in my home country even though they don't sell as well where I live.
@kal_el_07241, if that's true, then it's not as bad as I expected, thank goodness 🥰.
Still that would cause issues if I decided to replay the game someday. How would I get the Mega Stones then, if the season rotations have presumably stopped like what happens with every Pokémon game after a few years? 😢 It's a different situation, since you can't bring in Mega Stones from previous games.
If anything, being able to get them a decade from now if I replay the game is what I'm more concerned about.

Re: Reminder: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Hardware Bundle Now Available
Absolutely yes... once I can afford it sometime early next year.
Re: Splatoon 2 Version 5.5.2 Now Live For Switch And Switch 2, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
It's interesting seeing all of these Switch 1 games from as far back as 8 years ago getting little updates on both the Switch 1 and the Switch 2.
Re: Nintendo Responds To Reported 'Crimson Collective' Hack With Official Statement
GOOD. Customer data like passwords not being leaked is a good thing.
Re: This Unofficial Paper Mario-Inspired Cookbook Looks Scrumptious
I absolutely love the idea of this! Hopefully they meet their goal and are able to release their book.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Will definitely get it sometime early next year, the digital version of the Switch 2 Edition that will come with my Switch 2 bundle.

Re: Pokémon TCG Pocket Announces "New And Updated" Features For First Anniversary
I already stopped playing the game just a few days ago, but still, these are some nice updates! Hopefully the remaining players enjoy them.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Fatal Fury Special (SNES)
They both look at least slightly good, but I chose the Japan one this week.
Re: Review: Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian (Switch) - Moving Forward By Looking Back
It's interesting being a console game that's a sequel to a mobile game... I do want to get into the Atelier series someday, as well as other JRPGs.

I do! 🤣 And my uncle, who has no kids.

"newer games like galaxy?"
Technically not a completely new game, I'll update my comment to match that.

Based on theories of others, if it's not just a one-off short it's most likely Pikmin related.

Then you're in luck! S2 physical is out in Spring 2026 (no proper release date yet, that's all the information that's available at the moment).
