Nice collection of letters like always! I'm going to get flack for this statement, but I'm going to say it anyway: the customization of the menus on the 3DS and Wii U was one of the few things 8th Gen Nintendo had going for it. The Switch generation was just so much better in a lot more ways (Switch 2 is to be determined, since the thing's not even a year old yet).

Link's Awakening is one of my most favorite Zelda games ever, especially the Switch remake, I don't care how small it is.

As for the boxart, I like the American one too, but that Japanese art just looks amazing, so I voted for that one.

There were quite a few good Pokémon designs this Gen! (Though I didn't care for most of the starters and their evolutions a ton).

My second favorite Pokémon ever, after Lucario, is Cinderace! Also, shoutouts for Scorbunny, Corviknight, and Zamazenta.

The first Zelda I ever played was Ocarina of Time, in that Standard Quest + Master Quest double pack for the GameCube, back in 2019. My dad helped me with a lot of the more difficult puzzles and bosses for me though 😅 (but I did beat Ganon myself, I swear!). Give me a break, I was only 10 years old.

I've played several more Zelda games, and the Zelda franchise is one of my favorite media series of all time. The rest is history.

Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition: since last weekend, I have obtained a few more party members and orbs. My next objective is to craft another Sword of Light.
Animal Crossing New Horizons: I am officially done with hotel stuff now. Also, I should be able to afford the final house storage upgrade sometime very soon.

Hello, Mario!: I've messed around with this a bit on both my Switch and my smartphone. It's incredibly fun to just mess around with. Probably not something I will touch or mention often, but for a free app, it's definitely worth keeping around.

Definitely looking forward to downloading and playing LeafGreen, perhaps even on launch day!

Tune in to early next year, when Ubisoft will say that the 30th anniversary edition underperformed and that because of that, all their Rayman plans are scrapped.

They really should have included a way to switch between the two soundtracks at the start.

From what I've seen of it, with all the different characters, rackets, courts, and other options, it's got the most content out of any Mario Tennis game, despite a small story mode. And it's (at least as of right now) all on a physical cartridge as well (which means you will be able to eventually find it for cheaper than its standard price).

I'm going to commit blasphemy and just say it: Fever is the best one.

I'm banking my reputation on my claim that Pokémon Gen 10 is surely launching in late 2026.

I'm still waiting for an announcement of an updated Playasia physical copy that comes with all of the new content added in updates.

Maybe I'll just get this digitally someday though 🤔? It all depends on whether I have the time for it or not.

@PessitheMystic, I don't care if other people think I'm a nerd or anything like that, and no, I'm not embarrassed about it either. I'm just a member of a small subset of people that think differently about some things.

It's still censored just like the original American version on the Wii U, so no thanks, I'll pass.

Froakie and its evolutionary line are my number one this gen. Noibat and Noivern come kind of close though.

Bomberman isn't owned by Nintendo, so in order for a Bomberman 99 to happen, Nintendo and Konami would need to strike a deal for that to happen, just like Nintendo did with the company that owns Tetris for Tetris 99. I don't think a deal like that is likely to happen though, considering what happened to the online Bomberman game that did come out a few years ago but was discontinued after just a year. The fact that there's a genuine physical release makes this a worthy release.

My favorite Gen 4 Pokémon is also my favorite Pokémon in general: it's Lucario!

It's kind of interesting and weird seeing all of these multiplatform games having the words "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" in their titles when every single other modern platform doesn't have anything like that 🤔.

Seeing Epona for the first time in a while makes me remember that I want to have an official way to play the OG Ocarina of Time without paying more money every year for the NSO Expansion Pack.

Close call between Flygon and Gardevoir, since those are the only Hoenn Pokémon I've really used in the Pokémon games that I have played, and I like both of their designs. Flygon wins.

I'm interested... if it's not censored. I'm not holding my breath though, considering what has been happening since late 2024.

Honestly, I would probably wait several more years before doing Switch emulators, since Switch games are still readily available. Once they stop releasing physical copies of certain games will be another thing entirely though.

Gen 2 is one of the Gens that I'm not as well versed in, but for this one, I will go with Totodile.

I went with North America this week.

My favorite Pokémon from Gen 1, ever since I watched the OG anime as a child, is Psyduck. It's also my third favorite Pokémon if you include all Gens.

I personally will stick with my physical Blu-Ray that doesn't have any ads mid-show (heck, I actually intend on watching the original again before watching the sequel).

I think they would make money if they released the older, more beloved Angry Birds games on consoles like Switch and PC platforms like Steam, and selling them for a few bucks each. I mean, like, the OG Angry Birds that doesn't exist anymore. I think a decent amount of people would buy it because of nostalgia.

Pokémon has been my favorite media franchise ever since I first watched the OG anime on Netflix back in 2017. The Neptunia series may beat it eventually, but if that does happen, Pokémon would still be number two 😀.

Plenty of other Neptunia spin-offs, and even a port of the fourth mainline Neptunia game, came out on the Switch in the years of 2019-2024 (and also Riders vs. Dogoos, albeit without swimsuit DLC, in 2025).

That, along with tons of other niche Japanese third party fanservicey games having their western releases canceled at roughly the exact same time, makes me think it's simply a stupid guidelines change instead that focuses more on the fanservice instead of the console war references.

According to those numbers in the charts, the PS4 outsold the Series X this week. If true, that's actually really impressive.

The PS4 is a pretty amazing console though (besides some stupid unfortunate Japanese game cancelations on the American side of things 🤦‍♂️).
